lol there were some strange parts in the video... :) She probably meant (or maybe didnt even know) that the NTX brick uses linux as its operating system, but ofcourse you can program it with anything you want

Would buying an nxt now be a waste of money? What i am thinking is that the new mindstorms will need some time before projects are starting to be uploaded on the net.

They are essentially the same, with just upgraded parts. The 2.0 is great to just starting up but, I would suggest skipping the NXT easy to use program and go straight to coding.

Excuse me, but how exactly does one go about programming with Linux? Linux is an operating system, and it's system requirements are much greater than the EV3 I will assure you. I suppose you meant Linq, is a simple scripting language.
