Bro u saved my life. Previous owner made a mess of the wires. I had them all correct just no sound at all until I figured out by watching your video that they grey wire is the one power for amplifier, and now it booms so good . Insane sound

Thanks, it doesn't show the trip info. It is android you can hook up the camera to it...
hello, i did like you for "cage"... but I don't know how to center it to fit to plastic frame without frame (just to put screws) and put plastic frame back and done it? i hope ypu understand question :)
I cut most of the metal away and secured it with 4 very small screws

Where exactly are you connecting the grey wire from the yellow box (next to the green box: steering wheel controls) to? Is it a ground wire and are toy combining it with the 12v constant? Thanks
If I remember right the gray wire is for the amplifier, and it is connected either to dedicated wire for that on multimedia, or to the key on wire... But it was long time ago, I am sure you can get it from the video...
I think it was to the 12v ignition wire.. Yet im not sure if I should combine them both? As do you know if the grey is a ground wire or ok to combine? Thanks
Hi, i have problem everyting works, but the navigation suck my battery power compleatly when the car is not working.Maybe i conected the navigation to the constant 12v not into the ignition?

Can you make a detailled video of how to retrofit a Complete Bose audio set (4 speakers, subwoofer and loom) in to a 147? That would be very great and you will help a lot of people with that.

Hello Arc Garage, do you think buying a metal cage will provide a better fit instead of using the side brackets? I have ordered an unit which comes with the brackets and I am considering buying a metal cage instead of using them.
I don't think it will make much of a difference since the unit is light
Hey there, great vid! And nice channel. So I've recently purchased an android radio for my gt as well. After installing (thanks to your great manual) I found out I can not set the radio on low volume. If I turn it to volume 1 it already blast louder then I usually play my music. Any thoughts on that? Probably has to do with the bose soundsystem, hope I can figure out why... best regards!

Hm, it sounds like you might have an issue with your multimedia, but I would still have to check it myself to figure it out...

Hook up the gray wire from the yellow connector to your 12V ignition wire that you got from the fuse box.
@@arcgarage I did everything as you showed and everything works except for the sound! I'll try again tomorrow! when I start connecting the wires to the speakers I hear only crackle.
Retrace your steps, you shouldn't be hearing nothing when connecting speakers. Maybe you have a different issue, or maybe you connected amplifier to 12V constant wire?
My existing radio already has a 15 amp fuse installed, does that mean i can wire the cable from the fusebox to the radio directly without a fuse?
I would protect it with fuse anyway, in case something goes wrong with wiring...

Not really, only maybe that there are bad speaker connections, or something of that nature...

Not sure, I would have to check it out. However I didn't use adapter on my GT...
For ignition wire, maybe you can use the middle one from the lighter
I had to add the fuse, and if I did that, fuse would be inaccessible...
i watched your other video since i have a 147 and followed the steps but no sound. then i saw this one, with bose which i have on my car. so i might need to follow a combination of these 2 videos. i dont think my 147 has a switched on cable, so might need to do the fuse box trick - and connect switched on cable for android head unit and also amplifier for bose. is this right? thanks!
Yes, you need to do that, and you need to connect the gray wire(if I remember right). It is the one which turns on the amplifier which then sends sound to the speakers... That's why you don't have the sound...
I did it. Success. But my keys are not working. Do u remember the color of the wires from the car? Does it matter which way round key 1 and key 2 goes?
I don't remember, but I am sure they are visible in the video...

Hello, do you know what is the fuse on the multimedia exactly for?
I shorted the USBs, the rest works. The fuse is not for that right?
Fuse is for the power supply to multimedia, not USB specifically...

Since the change, the two buttons on the steering wheel for calls and voice control no longer work. Do you know how I can fix this?

Hi do you know how to turn the stereo off completely? Mine stays on and shows the clock image on a standby and drains the battery
You can see in the video that I hooked it up to fuse slot which is powered when key is in on position...

hey dude, can you please advise me? I done all that you said in the video but i am having issues with the radio has to be switched on and off manually. i have an alfa gt and its canbus wiring etc
If you connected it via canbus, it is due to the multimedia setup
I also dont have any key 1 or key 2 wires from my headunit, what do i do then? Sorry for being a nuisance

Hi, it is a generic 100 Euro Android multimedia, and after a short setup the sound quality is amazing. I think it's primarily due to the Bose sound system, in which amplifier sends signal to speakers rather than multimedia...
Can you describe the connections of the steering wheel controls? please...
You got key1 and key2 wires on aftermarket connector. Connect pink/purple wire (green connector on factory harness) to key1 wire, connect pink/green wire to key2 wire. Last thing you have to do is connect purple/black wire also from green connector, to ground wire, and you're done...

I can't due to the music copyright, but I assure you the sound quality is amazing... It is as good as it was with factory setup...
Iinstalled multimedia, sound is great. Steering control work but however they get mixed up after some time, all 3 buttons on one side of wheel do the same function😬
@@lemi319 I didn't have those issues, check the connections for steering wheel controls. They basically work through resistance. Also the unit might have hard time differentiating...
Can I use it in any gt or 147? What is the difference between bose and others? They look all the same.
Yes, check out both videos, there is a difference when it comes to installation...
It is possible to mount a rear view camera? Do you know how it works?
Yes, you can mount it. All you have to do is install the camera and connect it to reverse wire... Signal wire also must come back to the unit (if it's not wireless)...

Hi I have an Alfa 147 2003 model and it does not have the multifunction steering wheel. Do you know if I can upgrade to that steering wheel and have all the functions working?

Na klip se ne vidi da na kraj sve radi ok.Jel rade komandi na volan. Sta treba da pazim kad narucim radio, da bi i ja mogao da povezem sa bose pojacalo i komandi na volan.
Mozes da mi saljes neki srpski link gde da nabavim radio. Ovaj na ebay ni je u fukcii

Just one question as well, you can't connect the multimedia without the key inserted? or yes, I wish I could connect the radio to the non-contact car...
You can, but you got to power it with constant 12V wire both where the constant is needed, and where the key on wire is needed...

Drug, a sta misliš o 8 incha, vidjao sam 9incha i previse je neskladno a dvoumim se izmedju 7 i 8 sad.
I ja sam o tome razmisljao, a razmisljao sam i o tabletu od 8 inca, ali mjere mi se nisu bas poklapale. A kontam i da sam ga uspio ubaciti da bi bilo tesko odraditi da izgleda sve kako treba...
@@arcgarage ima 8incha kao 1din i pasao bi tacno u armaturu imao bi malo prostora bocno. A reci mi jel se moze spojiti ovo bez canbus-a i gdje sam imao fabricku navi, i imam kamere naprijed nazad, i one komande na volanu sa po 4 tipke.

Hello, I have a problem with noises from my speakers. Example in video: ruclips.net/video/vaAFLAgC1yo/видео.html + some other low noises. I have not connected it like on your video, I had an ISO pluggin so not much to change. Also what is the name of item you used at the begining to add power and additional wire? I have not used that.
I have trouble hearing the unwanted noises in the video. That is the fuse holder for the power ignition on wire...
@@arcgarage it is the noise you hear when I pause the music. It's coming from the speakers. Any fuse holder will work ?
