I wish we had a similar system in Canada for Life Insurance, I agree you need to protect your family but in Canada, everything is so expensive protection is tossed out the window.
I live in the uk and even with a system like the national health service that we are taxes for doesn’t work so having insurance could be the difference between life and death
It made me smile to hear that you really enjoy the time you share in the mornings to talk to your dad. As you said, he will not be around forever, and you often get busy with projects. The time you spend talking to him is time you will never regret. Stay safe out there and wishing you a fruitful harvest.
There should always be time for family and friends because the times you say no not today are the days you regret once they are gone. I lost a good friend last year and I’m grateful for every second I spent with them and they were only 24 when they died
My dad and I have a date night . I call every Friday night sometimes it's a 15 minute conversation and sometimes longer. He is in Florida I'm in Wisconsin so every conversation is special. Like you said you enjoy it. Jennifer
There were 14 of us kids , and I was next to the youngest . My Dad was killed three months before his 70th birthday , and I was 22 . He never got to see mine or my younger brothers kids or grandkids . I was devastated when it happened . I'll tell you , as I sit here writing this 43 years later , I just started crying all over again , it never goes away . I tell my wife , my kids , and my grandkids how much I love them every time I talk to them , because you never know when God is gonna call you home , and I don't want it to go unsaid how much they mean to me . Love you Cole , and don't forget to let your beautiful family know how much you care for them 🙏❤️🚜🇺🇸
Two really important lessons that most people never get. Quality time with family, they won't be around forever. Put yourself in the other person's shoes and try to understand their point of view, you don't have to agree, but must respect them. Most people fail to do that.
What you said about talking with your dad really hit home with me. I lost my Dad back in 2002 and what I miss is working side by side with him and just talking to him. Cherish those moments and wait till the time you get with Ed.
I have 2 boys, age 26 and age 22. The 26 year old has Autism and still has to live with us. I thought of him when you were talking about soaking up knowledge. With Autism, hyperfocus on certain topics is common. Instead of video games, he spent his time studying facts about animals, all kinds, past and present, sea and land. He struggles with basic math, but is an encyclopedia when it comes to animals. He is struggling to find his place in the world while his little brother/best friend is living in Japan and deployed with the military. It's amazing how different siblings can be! I do have a parenting tip because both of our boys say they had a wonderful childhood. Instead of spending our money on "things", we chose to spend our money on adventures. They have been white water rafting in Colorado, parasailing in Hawaii, dog sledding in Alaska, and many other trips to visit family, etc. There were sacrifices......... used cars, flip phones, basic clothes, basic toys..........but it was SO worth it! I'm glad you are treasuring family time already. I'm really proud of you and Hneiva!
Great video Cole, treasure those talks with DC & Edward as we all know tomorrow is never promised. You can see the bond you all have going back to DC & Grandpa Ray. My Parents divorced when I was around 5-6 and I never got to know my father before he passed when I was 17. I was luckier in that his Dad was the person who I believe had the biggest influence on my life before he passed when I was right about your age. Following you for the last few years puts a smile on my face and a warmth in my heart watching the entire Cornstar family work and live in unison. Now at 62 I reflect on watching how close you all are and how well you all work towards a common set of family goals. As Always Thank You for bringing us along on your journeys. God Speed this harvest and may it be a bountiful one for the Cornstar Family.
Never take people for granted and life I lost my dad one morning out of the blue heart attack always appreciate the people who are around you. Steve from West Virginia..
Couldnt agree more with you Cole with the “talk with your Dad” stuff. Mine passed away a few weeks ago and I’m glad and thankful I had a lot of those with him! Keep it up!
What you’re doing Cole is researching information using all available angles then discerning your position for yourself. Which is EXACTLY what all of us should try to do(in all areas)bc the only person i can trust in managing my life is myself & Faith in God.
You and your dad are lucky to have each other to talk to. So many of us don't have parents to talk to. I live too far away from my kids for every day conversation. I miss that.
Great video Cole! My sister and I are the only ones left from our family of origin! Missing 2 brothers and mom and dad. I have my own family w 1 son who is married now and my hubby and I are retired and living in our home. I miss family all the extended parts as I moved from Texas to Australia to work over 30 yrs ago….but I enjoy watching you all and know how blessed you are to have mom, dad,Summer, Cooper Hnevia and little Edward and one on the way. Don’t take any of this for granted. Things can change so fast. I wanted to ask about the parts of your bin set up that are real problems and unsafe. Did you guys ever get satisfaction from installers? I was pleased to see the way you made the ground better with stone etc and so your trucks and farm equipment would have safe places to drive and turn etc. Well done.😊
Treasure every moment with your dad. My dad lived with us the last 5 years of his life because of his health issues. Bad heart and kidney disease. I treasure those 5 years and I’m grateful he was with us. Hold on to every moment with your family because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.
I love this conversation between you and your dad about the driveway. It's not a big deal, not important information, but that's what really matters in life.
Same. I think his brand of populism is meant only to build a profitable audience. But as a professor and long time subscriber I think Cole has a solid head on his shoulders and I completely endorse learning as much as possible about EVERYTHING. Especially about the things you disagree with and why one disagrees with them. One dimensional, shallow comprehension does you no favors when confronted about WHY the beliefs you hold dear are worth believing in at all. And it’s always best to know all sides of an issue if one is to have any confidence in the beliefs one cherishes. Then one will be well equipped to defend them.
You are what is called a “Renaissance Man”. There are few of those people. You can blend with a large number of various crowds. Knowledge is power. Much love to you all from Raeford NC🤙🤙🇺🇸
5:50….talk time is important my dad passed 3 years ago this October 21st and we had them morning talks farming etc for over 20 years it changes life perspectives never take time for granted
Cole ,,Really enjoy and spend more time talking to your dad,Mine died at 42 years oid,I was 12,The conversations we had are like gold to me now that I am 57 and I have had many of those conversations with all 4 of my kids on the daily and now my grandson.Keep it up!
For a young man, you are very smart. Not all young people understand until it's too late, that the time you spend with your Mom and Dad is limited. You don't think about that until they are not there anymore. The same goes for the other people you love in your life. The people you love are the most important thing there is, over everything. Give of your time, even when you think they ask too much of you or too much of your time. It will never be enough, but give it all. The love of your family shows every time I watch a video. That is a blessing.
You should be able to filter out that unwanted radio reception by adjusting your squelch. Turn it all the way down and slowly turn it up while someone is transmitting. Stop when you can hear them.
If the state did a signage project on that road, the sign may have been relocated a few feet. If they’ve done any roadwork within 20 miles or so, the signage along the entire length might have been reevaluated (target practice, rusty posts, faded signs and accidents are just a few things that cause this to be occasionally necessary on most roads).
I love they way you think , about everything . The problem is communication. Some people don’t wanna hear the other persons view. I’m like you I’ll listen but, it doesn’t mean I have to agree with you. It also has to do with where you live and what’s important to you . I live on Long Island New York close to fire Island, out here., We are more on the conservative side with family values. In the city New York City it’s different.
I couldn't agree more with you on quality time with your family. I lost my Dad when I was 26, that is way to soon. Seems like it was a 100 years ago { I am now 71} and still hurts like it was yesterday.
My dad is a big cb nut . He had one is his truck with a amp, go hunting at a friends farm in Texas get on top of a hill and talk to people in New Mexico.
My oldest sister has that pattern of plates, too. I think she bought her set of Corelle in the mid-to-late 70s. It lasts a long time, if you don't drop it on the floor. LOL
I'm very glad you are taking your health serious most don't and diabetes is horrible 👍 I know I worked and worked and tried to be everything... Money isn't everything time with loved ones is 🙏💕🥰
Trust me spend all thr time you can with your son. Before youbknow it its like me and he is 10 years old and it seems like he was just the age uours is. I loved coming home and seeing him crawl to me wirh a huge smile ofbhis face and pull up my leg to hug me😊
You are "basically" limited to transmit distance by the power your radio is designed for, A good antenna can help. In my experience, a really good antenna (height, "wave", brand and the quality of coax cable) can make a dramatic difference in your reception of other stations. Another component of the equation is what it is mounted on. A sheet steel roof on a vehicle is far better that a plastic or fiberglass roof...
Cole old truck driver trick about bad Oder's in combine, get cheap brand of fresh coffee and place a plate of 1/2 lb fresh coffee the cab out of the way when your done one evening. HazMat crews do this also in confined area's
I am the same way, Cole. Very curious of the way the world works. But you will be well into your 30's when you become half my age. The conclusion I keep coming to as I get older, the more I know but the less I understand. But I feel like the real answer is that family is above all what you know and how the world works by way far. When you don't have family, greater the chances are that you pass on alone. And this I know *and* understand. That is the only "ways of the world" that you need. Don't stop your ruminations. They are reassuring to everyone here.
When turning into a very tight area. Pull past about 1/2 to 3/4 of the trailer. Turn your steers to the way you want the front of the trailer to go and back up this will place the front of the trailer in the direction you want to go. BUT don't back up to far. When you get the front of the trailer started going where you want to go. WATCH YOUR FRONT SO YOU DO NOT DRIVE INTO THE DITCH. You may have to move the front of the truck more into the corner. I learned this unlading with a extended hood Pete and a 50 foot Tempte with deep hoppers and 96 inch side walls. I know it's a LOT of monkeying around. Have you ever thought somebody moved the sign??
Speaking of grain carts, I'm heading off in the morning to pick up parts for a local engineering shop that builds them, their big (tri axle) cart is rated for 132,000lb
Wise words about appreciating the time you have with your dad... My dad passed away 7 years ago. We worked together for several years and those shared moments are/were precious indeed. 🥲
I have not messed with a C.B. Radio in a long time, but I used to have a Big Wilson Antenna on the Roof of My Car and a Leaner with a lot of Power. It was A.M. and usually I could still hear people talking in the background that I guess had way more power than I had.
Now we run a new case IH 7250 with a 40 ft Draper head but we have an extended auger. Now couldn’t you guys buy an extension for the combine auger. Anyways keep up the good work
We have vhf radios and a licensed frequency. The radios are secured with a tone only known to our radios which makes it a "secure channel" that nobody can be on. 50 miles is no problem.
Hey Cole! You should look in to listening to, looking in to Ken Wilbers integral theory. It points towards some pretty profound perspectives on the questions you bring up in the middle of this video.
Just make sure, that when you are considering other perspectives, that you are considering the BEST interpretation. Especially of those you are prone to disagree with. Don't allow yourself to strawman perspectives you might not netirally align with. Your way of thinking is brilliant.... just be aware of your own natural bias and allow for it.
Fungicide... I am just a flower gardener and grew up on a farm in Nebraska 50 years ago. I have a lot of respect for your family's complicated farm operation. Just wondering about the acres you didn't apply Fungicide. If you don't remove the diseased corn leaves, will they intensify the fungus next year ?
You all have your proper GMRS licenses to be using that 50 watt, GMRS radios, right? You can use CTCSS or DCS so that you don't hear other people. If you go to your most centrally located property, you could put in a repeater, would also really help if you wanted to use handhelds.
Cole, a podcast recommendation for you. Mind Pump Media - three former personal trainers who are all entrepreneurs at heart speak all things health/fitness/wellness/personal growth. Most episodes feature 40 minutes of conversation then another 40 minutes of answering specific fitness questions. I recommend episode 2107 - The Science of Becoming a Better & Happier Parent to start.
Been great vids for years now. And... A lot of awesome work is happening this year! Why the same meal 24/7??? This thinking is going to fail. 53 here. We don't eat the same thing every day. What's the thinking moving forward with your diet??? Hoping for a good year for you n yours n the farm!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
Hello Cole, Spend every minute you can with your children. I grew up not knowing my father. My wife and I were not blessed with having children. I see my brother's, sisters, and friends with their children and feel sad, but the good lord must have a reason for us not to have e kids. We have had a lot of animals that we rescued over the years, and my wife and I are happy with that. Love the videos. Keep up the good work, and God bless and stay safe.
I agree, 100% on the fact that if you do not know all sides of the story, then I don’t know how anybody could honestly create a true opinion of something if they don’t know the whole story

I love it when you Question the Questions and willing to learn. You are a genius person lots of common sense.
I had a problem with a highway sign like that. I moved it twenty feet and solved the problem.

Our son(only child) left for college this year. Enjoy every minute it really does go fast! Edward is a perfect mix of you too, absolutely adorable!
Edward is one of the cutest babies I've seen. And I have seen a lot ❤❤❤
Thank you Cole! God bless your family!

I am jealous! I wanna chat with DC! He seems like such an awesome guy!
My dad is a big cb nut . He had one is his truck with a amp, go hunting at a friends farm in Texas get on top of a hill and talk to people in New Mexico.
Go Edward Go! Baby Cornstar will be running the grain cart in no time. ❤🙏💪
Using a cb it should have a squelch knob if you turn the squelch up it will focus on people closer to you
Love that i got the same plates as you!! Little old but still great!
My oldest sister has that pattern of plates, too. I think she bought her set of Corelle in the mid-to-late 70s. It lasts a long time, if you don't drop it on the floor. LOL
Edward’s starting to walk , look out now !❤
Wow Cole your boy is already standing in his own your boy is awesome
If you are able to get your trailer wheels a bit more forward, the turning circle will get smaller and it will be easier to make the narrow turns.
Open mindedness is a key thing in all aspects of life being able to here and take in all opinions is vital in being a well rounded person
Critical Thinking Cole, its a good way to give yourself all the information and having a balanced viewpoint. 😉👍🇺🇸😎🇬🇧
I hear you Cole I lost my Dad suddenly just 2 months ago you’re spot on can’t interact with them when they’re gone
Lucky winner
I'm very glad you are taking your health serious most don't and diabetes is horrible 👍 I know I worked and worked and tried to be everything... Money isn't everything time with loved ones is 🙏💕🥰

Wise words about appreciating the time you have with your dad... My dad passed away 7 years ago. We worked together for several years and those shared moments are/were precious indeed. 🥲
Cole as someone who has lost his dad, I completely agree. Take the time with him.
Once the issues with the bin site are addressed what would you say is your next major improvement plans
Hopefully soil fertility & water management! A grain dryer will be needed at some point too.
Yeah that grain drier has some MILAGE on her that’s for sure!!! 😂😂😂
Saw a grain cart here in South Australia that was about the size of 4 Semi's, that sucker was HUGE!
Can you put a flasher on the corner of the bean head for when you are in a lot of dirt.
We probably could. You would almost need one on the side of the cart too!

If you turn the gain down you should be able to get rid of the other radios that are furrther away.

I want one of those fair trailers with all the mirrors. Something very cool about having your own fair mirror trailer.
We have the folding auger on our combine and we have the same combine but ours has duals in the front instead of tracks
20 thousand views...need to hit the thumbs up button, !!! Not paid just a great fan of Cole the Cornstar and family!!
I wish my kids felt the same way you do about talking with your parents.
Your wife knows exactly what to make for supper Ior any other meal) for you. Naiva is a true sweetheart, Cole.
It was nice to see your sone and Neve this time.
Awesome always cool stuff always thanks 😎

Authoritarian vs Libertarian. That is a huge factor in world view. Looking at left and right in that light adds all kinds of possibilities
How about Nationalist vs. Globalist? Or, Capitalist vs. Socialist/Communist/Marxist?
Eduard is so cute. He is the most important thing you could spend time doing 😊
Great video Cole if you turn up the squelch on your cb you should only hear people near you.
Great video. Love the content… has there been years where you had to keep switching from corn to beans back to corn so on and so fourth?
Been great vids for years now. And... A lot of awesome work is happening this year! Why the same meal 24/7??? This thinking is going to fail. 53 here. We don't eat the same thing every day. What's the thinking moving forward with your diet??? Hoping for a good year for you n yours n the farm!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
You have more energy in your little finger than most folks have in their whole body!
Hello Cole,
Spend every minute you can with your children.
Those dinners look like they should be served in a big chrome dog bowl.
