- This anniversary trip is one we will NEVER forget! We were able to get away and spend time with one another and I have to say it was definitely a good time! Besides missing our baby I think we can both say we feel blessed to have been able to get away and enjoy quality time with one another! Hope you all enjoy the vlog! Vámonos! ☺️

30 years in my husband and I enjoyed r time together and we always reflected on those first few years. The simple vacations and little get always. Ur building the memories of the stories u will tell the kids. It’s part of the foundation that gets them started out right in relationships and future marriages. In warm weather, wearing long clothing actually helps keep you cooler. You sweat into the cloth which holds it allowing the breeze to blow thru and cooling your body. Shorts and t shirts just allow to sweat to form and evaporate. And yes, my guess is that someone is eating for two. Sure hope so…..👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Chopped bacon. Fried in pan. When done pour off most of the bacon grease. Scramble eggs in remaining grease. Stir in cooked white or brown rice. Throw bacon back in. Serve with la choy soy sauce.

Nave please be careful when walking on rock with water running over it that algae/mossy stuff will get very slippery I know from experience I slipped on a waterfall like that and almost split my head open had a huge lump and headache 🤕

I just watched on The Story Channel about the Ringling Bros, and find it crazy how stars align and they’re being mentioned on this story. I thought about you all when i learned from their story they were from Iowa 😮 Fascinating story! Fun trip for you!
Probably been answered but those nests appeared to be built by swallows. We live 2 miles from Starved Rock State Park in Illinois and because of its nearness to Chicago, it draws over 2 Million visitors a year. The name is derived from the legend of a group of Native Americans attacked by another tribe, retreated to the top of the rock overlooking the Illinois River, and some starved while others escaped at night and fled downriver. The park has many trails, canyons, and waterfalls. There are 2 other parks within miles.
Thanks for showing the different sides of Iowa, it is a beautiful state from the Missouri River on the western side of the states, the corn and soy beans, the farm animals, to the Mississippi River on the eastern side of Iowa! ❤❤

The birds weren't looking for fish...they were drinking water, grabbing insects and bathing. However, the fish, especially in smaller ponds, do grab the birds as they skim the surface. The barn swallow is particularly fun to watch. The fish 'go birding'.

A lot of rivers and streams end up in The Mighty Mississippi River but where it actually starts you can step across it with 1 step.

Happy Anniversary! That was a very beautiful area. A lot of people forget Iowa has some beautiful and historic places. The Ledges is another beautiful area to visit, but much more rustic accomodations. Thanks for letting us tag along. I love history as well. When my girls were little, we went to places and learned about everything. When we visited Oklahoma City, we went to the site of the bombing. It was a lot like the Vietnam Memorial. It was so quiet. I told my girls what had happened, and to be respectful. They did fantastic, especially when they realized what the small chairs were. They represented the children that were killed. I've never been on vacation without my kids. My girls would go to camp for a week, and by Tuesday morning, we both were having kid withdrawal 😊.
I've been all through that area, too! A long time ago, I belonged to a British car club and we'd travel to those places. Beautiful country! They also have a ton of antique shops too!

I grew up in Davenport Iowa my family still lives in Iowa my sister my niece and I did mc Gregor Pikes Peak. and the field of dreams as a day trip it was beautiful Iowa is more diverse then flat corn and soybean fields when I show my Colorado friends pictures they can’t believe the beauty Congratulations on your anniversary keep exploring creating memories little Edward will be fishing and hiking with you soon God Bless you all 🙏
