    I'm glad you all get the proper equipment and gear to do your job. People in my country don't have any equipment or sanitary gear to clean pools. They use their hands and are not even able to cover their faces. They have to use cloth or towel. I hope someday they are provided with good tools and equipment along with sanitary gear, because it's them who keep our society clean.

      @@OddlySatisfyingPressureWashing Ridgid makes an awesome transfer pump that screws on to the drain cap on the wet vac. Works great for this exact situation when you will need to "empty" the vac a few times. Discharges through a regular garden hose and has a large debris filter built in. I was wishing I was there so I could let you use mine and save you some heartache at the end :)

    Everything seemed to go pretty much as smooth as silk...until you came down to the drain area. Looks like that took like about an hour or so, in itself. That drainage system needed to be deeper and wider, so as to allow all of that gunk to go down the drain!
    Nevertheless, y'all did a great job!

    I’m brickie by trade .After watching couple of pressure washing videos, I learned that you need to start at the lowest point and work your way up. If theres water puddles, you dnt have worry bout coz you’re done in that area.

    • @OddlySatisfyingPressureWashing
      @OddlySatisfyingPressureWashing  2 года назад +1

      Yes. That's usually how we do things when it comes to concrete cleanings for sure. That's the best technique. In this pool we didn't necessarily know that the pump would be as weak as it was so by the time we figure it out, we were too late. It's ok though.

    At 3:45, the plug of the sump pump at the extension cord goes into the water with operator also in the water. Probably not the safest thing since the plug interface is not sealed and the voltage would just love to find a path to ground through the standing water.
    Hopefully a GFCI outlet was used but even so, it's better not to allow the plug into the water. ...Just sayin'.

    • @OddlySatisfyingPressureWashing

      If the deep end is over 6 feet deep, the transition slope from shallow to deep needs to start even sooner so it cuts out the shallow end.

    So let me get this straight. They drained the pool, let the dirt dry in so hard, that it had to be powerwashed and in process, damage the pool?
    Why didn't they just wash the dirt out with a normal garden hose, after the drainage, before it dries in?

    • @OddlySatisfyingPressureWashing
      @OddlySatisfyingPressureWashing  2 года назад +4

      You must not have watched the whole video. First off, we didn't drain the pool (the customer did). We arrived once it was drained. Secondly, the customer asked us to strip the paint because he was going to repaint the whole pool anyway so he said not to worry at all about any paint coming off. Thirdly, you should watch the videos before you comment on them.

  • @robertwgasiewicz
    @robertwgasiewicz 2 года назад

    Should have used a gas powered trash/sewage pump. That way there is not an electrical wire and extension cord running into a wet work area. The electric pump you used is not meant for that job. A trash/sewage pump will also remove all the dirt and water out of the pool instead of sending it in the drainage system (which ends up back in your filters).
    The pressure was also too high on your power washer and/or too close, incorrect nozzle and the guy chipped the painted off of the surface in multiple places. Did you sand and repaint? If I were your customer, I would expect those repairs at your cost, given that it was avoidable.
    Satisfying? Yes. Safe, careful, and efficient? No.

    • @OddlySatisfyingPressureWashing

      You should watch the whole video so you could hear us explain the paint situation. He wanted us to strip all the paint but we didn’t want do that.
