Soul Seeker Jo Sinnott travels to China; the spiritual home of Tai Chi. Jo heads for Yangshuo where she studies with Mei Juan Luo, one of the few female Tai Chi masters practicing in Yangshuo, Southern China. Jo vists Mei's "Long Tou Shan" Tai Chi School in Yangshuo and joins a retreat to learn Chen Style Tai Chi (Taijiquan). The school welcomes poeple of any age, fitness level or experience to come and join Mei and study the ancient Chinese art of Tai Chi.

This isn't tai chi its WuShu. This is looking pretty; the effect of Wu Shu and pop culture have turned contemporary tai chi into a silly caricature of what it once was.

Are you some mystic who can see through this even though it helped me enormously when I ruptured my Achilles tendon whilst playing football one day back in 2003 in Yangshou.. Maybe you are some sad troll who lives in America and believes in god. Anyway, I don't give a flying fuck. After returning from limping around the Himalaya with my Chinese girlfriend I spent two months with Mei at the Leijang river working out with Tai Chi only to return to rock climbing as if nothing had ever happened. Don't you love it when Americans try to be condescending?
