- A compilation of images and videos of the commute by train from Cape Town Central Station.
This is the Northern Express, an express train introduced by MetroRail to relieve some of the heavy congested peak periods. The train only stops at the major stations (so to speak).

Hey Im living in France (Paris) and i can tell you that there's no difference between the 2 coutries.. We guys have the same stations with stairs and stuff, Nothing to envy here, same life style.. Im impressed .. Keep it up

Yes, our system is not too advanced but it does the job. Will have to be redesigned and made more effective and efficient, but that is just me. Do you have any videos of France that I can look at? From the comments I hear it is also the same as Brazil... go figure.

Div Bro hi. The stations were revamped for the 2010 FIFIA World Cup held here. It was also used for scened in Homeland S04 as the Islamabad airport. Pretty cool.

Div Bro yeah saw some of the new ones. Will be pretty good and more efficient me thinks. The roll-out in Cape Town could well go with the TCT take-over of Metrorail in Cape Town area. Not happy about the other new one PRASA bought for Billions that do not fit on our tracks though. Moving in the right direction though for a 3rd World.
