    Question:
When watering the 10.32 Wet Food Patch are there any concerns about health risks or interactions with soap or grease in the water being applied directly to these food crops? I was under the impression that some processing would be better, or that less cleaned greywater should be used for tree crops.

Geoff is a world-renowned permaculture consultant, designer, and teacher. He has established permaculture demonstration sites that function as education centers in all the world’s extreme climates - information on the success of these systems is networked through the Permaculture Research Institute and the www.permaculturenews.org website.
    About Permaculture:
Permaculture (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permacu...) integrates land, resources, people and the environment through mutually beneficial synergies - imitating the no waste, closed-loop systems seen in diverse natural systems. Permaculture applies holistic solutions that are applicable in rural and urban contexts and at any scale. It is a multidisciplinary toolbox including agriculture, water harvesting and hydrology, energy, natural building, forestry, waste management, animal systems, aquaculture, appropriate technology, economics, and community development.

This is great info, I live in Thailand and am looking at how to deal with our grey water before it hits the pond. I'll definitely try this, thanks Geoff.

There is a great greywater book called Create An Oasis with Greywater. One idea from it that might work for you is a clay earth - lined trench that the water flows through before reaching the pond. It is cleaned by flowing slowly, usually and by weeds or wood plantings next to it which use the water and can make mulch, green manure, fertilizer, fiber, etc. You can do this on quite a slope, but requires more maintenance. It comes out shaped like a hiking trail with lots of switchbacks.

For clarity, you cut the herbaceous growth from inside the mound circle to harvest the nitrogen in that growth - and remove it. It’s a sort of reverse fertilization. Instead of fertilizing the area, you take away fertility so it doesn’t continue to accumulate and then leach over time.

What are "biological soaps"? I am trying to figure out a greywater system, and am wondering what to use to wash my dishes. The oasis soap was way out of my budget, and I don't have access to soap nuts. I thought about using home-made soap from baking soda and borax, but found out that borax is deadly to plants and my soil is very salty and alkaline. I would raelly appreciate any explanation of the "biological soaps"!

Hi Geoff, love your work! I’m a big fan. Could you look into the chemtrails and toxic rain conspiracy that is now declassified and is proven true in regards to the impact it’s having on organic and bio dynamic crops. I’ve heard from other organic farmers that test their produce for contamination say it’s nearly impossible to keep alluminium, barium and other contaminants out of their produce when it’s falling from the sky. One farmer I knew uses a green house and filtration system to produce truly clean produce. Very sad. Now we face the impacts of 5G on our crops which they say will suffer further. Thanks 🙏🏻

I am very fortunate in that there is very little chemtrail spraying where I live and grow.

Petros Stefanis look into it my friend. I would be surprised where there is any place on earth that is not. Chemtrails can be sprayed in adjacent countries that drift into others in the clouds. The only way to know is to send your produce to the laboratory. I know some plants absorb 5G like cactus and alovera etc. I can see a way apart from a green house and filtration system.

@@nobodyspecial3338 sorry to tell you I have been watching the chemtrails conspiracy theory of 20 years now it has no basis in fact whatsoever. I won't get into a debate about it here but the bottom line is people see contrails from ordinary passenger jets and believe they are some sort of "spraying". In this day when you can point a phone at a plane and identify it there is no reason for that nonsense anymore.

thechief762 uh it’s now declassified and the evidence is in the scientifically tested soils and produce my friend. I wish you all the best in dealing with your denial. Look into it. 👍🏻

What is wrong with a septic system? They treat grey and black with no hassle.
