My uncle owns a Ferrari 360 since it first released back then. He still has it till this day. His family keeps telling him to sell it since the car has had a few problems. A recent problem he had was the key not working properly so he couldn't get into the car unless he used the master key and other problems as well. The key issue happend after he filled his Ferrari at the local gas station. The car was working fine but decided to not work after filling up. Since he didn't have the master key with him he had to ask his son to drive and deliver the master key to him in order to get it to work again. The main reason why my Uncle doesn't want to sell it despite its maitanence cost is because the Ferrari 360 was his first Ferrari he purchased after working hard and becoming successful.

Hey Sam , would just like to share my experience with the sticky buttons in my F430. Sent my car to an interior restoring/cleaning specialist and he had a service that removed the coating that causes the sticky mess and refinished the surface with a material that will not get sticky. By replacing the effected parts with new items from Ferrari , the sticky situation is likely to reappear in a year or two. Just sharing , great video btw love any of your content when it involves a ferrari lol. Cheers

When you're thinking that 8 grand is a massive bill, you have to compare it to the depreciation you'd be dealing with if you had a newer car that wouldn't need 8 grand of repairs. These are the kind of jobs that by doing them, you're keeping the value of your classic at or above what you paid for it. Don't do it and watch the other 360's that do get the work done start being more appealing than yours.

My Porsche 911 also had sticky buttons but thank god only had two buttons that had it. Not the lot! Hilarious that buttons are the most expensive bits on the invoice vs so many other items..

It’s great Sam that you are taking such good care of your 360, too many are not given the love and attention you are giving it, a future classic that your are enjoying and appreciating now in the best possible way. I salute you….

there are other companies out there repairing and etching in all the details on the sticky buttons spraying in those grooves white then covering them all in non sticky paint and they charge nowhere near 4g. If they are just buying new old stock buttons what's going to happen when it happens again.

Sticky buttons/knobs are due to plasticizer migration and leakage from the bulk polymer and wiping or dissolving from the surface is not a durable solution.

Normal Guy Supercar did a video on buttons showing how to do it yourself for free essentially. If they charge 3g for that, their thieves.

Sticky RX (USA) or Carplastix in the Czech Republic. Don't waste money buying new switchgear, bizarrely they still make them covered in the same crap that you've got now and will go sticky again. Send them away to either of the companies mentioned for a permanent and better solution than brand new.

Thank you SO MUCH for this video. In the past I felt at some point I would purchase a car similar to this, but after this video, the cost of some parts and the labour, I am 100% not going by to start a journey like that. I have two kids and money would be better spent on them than spending the cost of a car to maintain a car. When the time comes, I will get a 600cc sports bike instead from circa 2013 for £5k instead.

There's a place in America they can refurbish those buttons and plastic interer parts. I think there in FL not sure. Ask Hoovies

You should take care of your car. The value of a manual 360 is just going up and up. I have a 430 and the buttons were taken car of along with my motor mounts. I need to do my drivers door seal too I freaked out of the cost of the seal. Just ridiculous. I have to wait on that repair for now due to my budget.

Not sure why anyone would think you’re mad for fixing up your 360? Ppl spend $100K or more restoring their cars. It’s all about what the car means to you. I for one think it’s great!

I believe there are people than can fix the sticky button problem. Look at average guy supercar or the car wizard, I am pretty sure one of them knows a company that can resolve that problem. £4k to replace seems a bit heavy !

For anyone saying this is a lot to spend, I spent at least 75% this much on my old Fiat Coupe (though part of this was a small accident repair), and that was just repairs & diagnostics in order to keep the thing running. Then the engine blew. Old cars are expensive ;-) I'd consider this pretty good value for keeping a Ferrari in top notch condition.

Roger Collingwood at Kent High Performance can do the 'sticky buttons' in house for a fraction of the cost quoted by DK. He did my 550 Maranello last year and its great.

Cheaper than buying a newer Ferrari, i’m thinking of doing similar with my 16 year old Boxster. A newer Boxster doesn’t add much so refreshing my current car for a few K doesn’t seem like a bad option… (well until I can afford an Emira…)

Sam I don’t expect you’re much of a spanner man, 190 quid to fit the undertray, I must have saved myself hundreds as I’ve had mine off several times, mine’s 20 years old in December, at the moment I’m fitting a new passenger door lock, must’ve saved me ££££ on labour and I’m 69.
