"A state finds its highest representation in its art, and it's also the moment where you can bring the highest critique to a system because it's where you are seen. Moving is the activity that actually frees us of taking care of our own identity all the time and I think identity is something that has to be fluid and has to move in us and in between us." -- great observation.
Yes, brilliant! When we get caught up in our insecurities like self-doubt or the false sense of success, we tend to create for the wrong reasons. True art is honest, it sheds light on something we all experience as humans, or it tells a story that is needs to be heard by our generation or future generations.
Not identity, but self consciousness. Where we can be free and childlike and wonder. Where we never worried what someone may think of us or our expressions. This is the space that is not a vacuum but fullness.
Thank you for making and sharing this interview. I’m happy to learn of this artist and his art today. That feeling of maximum freedom through art resonates deeply with me!
Thank you. Not everything is art to me. I do not think all art is good art. Many are executed really badly. I really appreciate this artist's way of thinking and meaning in his art. The intention behind his creations is pure and full of meaning.
I don't know. While I agree that humility is a good tenet to live by, there is such a thing as false modesty. And it's impossible to erase the self and authorship, unless you don't credit yourself at all, which would make a far more interesting and radical statement to make about the issue. Personally I think it's important for artist to be present in the work, and to acknowledge that it came from their being with memories and dreams and aspirations, otherwise the work would become an insincere product of whatever. Of course, too much ego and self can be too much. But for me it's better than pretending that you are some kind of AI robot. Achieving a good balance of ego and humility is important. And also not taking yourself too seriously. His works are colorful... but it's probably something that I would walk past in a museum somewhere and wouldn't give a second glance.
I agree, Beethoven knows who he is and channels wonderful music. One cannot remove themselfs from reality , artists are a medium of their experiences and knowledge
That's why real artists are few because they can't do without their names meaning their egos and then lose themselves in their own mediocrity because a name is pointless in art. In art you are nothing but a channeler of a higher consciousness
How can anyone ever answer the question, "who are you"? Too many of us label ourselves as something or other, when we are not a label, we are spontaneous actions, always doing something different. I think labels are slavery, and certain names are those labels...I am a statement of facts as they happen...SBN RESONATE

Bit over the top.
He speaks nicely and in a soft voicce. He really is in his own world and created his own beliefs.
by saying an artist needs to give up their name i think hes saying an artist has to relinquish identity to freely channel creativity

Watching this video let's us know who he is what he thinks which contradicts his intention of giving g up his name and identity
So if I'm getting this art is not making something eye catching but what your state of mind is in while making something. I don't get it
Dont worry dude they dont get it either. Thats why their work is chaotic and and only "understandeble" by "chosen" minority.
And you never will

Most art nowadays is just a commercial product of elite connections honestly. It’s just a fancy product for money
Artists that think they can dig there way out of the shit by saying “I’m not special” yeah that’s how he feels…
Think he’s guilty because it’s kinda meh art, and he knows it’s just expensive because he’s connected to elite sales people
identity is total madness
But there is your name on the video title..... dude....

I like to imagine that Daniel is smoking a bong in the first two seconds of this video.
Just smoke your own even beter
I mean if your name is Daniel Knorr then yes I agree you should give it up
Why everyone here is hard to decipher?
I still don’t know this Artist.
A lot of the art pieces show cased looks really shitty... but its easy to fool people with the intelligent words alone side of it...
what do you want from your art joshua ?
@@hanawana I would like for art to be inspiring. I understand art is subjective but lm sure most humans can call bullshit when they see it...
Pure meaningles. Its so fu**ng meaningless they can label everthing on these kind of works because it has no reason to exist. Nihilism at its finest.
