Could u add the descriptions as wellXD
이재호 p
am i missing medicine and gardening ?
Alexander Giesler that would make him lose view and very scummy
Got one called “sleep psychology” which gave +2 beds and +6 morale
And another one called “Soundproofing” which reduces zed threats by 3
Reading this just gave me 2 more beds instead of TV Trivia
Dam you smart
I remember soundproofing. Never had anyone with it, but bought the skill book at a high price.👍
Can't recall the Sleep Psychology, so guess I never saw it, or saw once and forgot about it.
I know you buy the books for these but where do you buy them?
@@christianwest6531 you get them from rare skills traders or if you are out scavenging
Animal facts should be to understand zed patterns better and give you the scout skill where you passively detect freaks at a further distance
or at least medicine knowledge or something. If Hershel could save Carl from a gun shot then dammit a zookeeper can cure my blood plague. lol
AgeDrain
True, the Zombies are acting more like wild animal or beast and not Humans
The scout skill is already a thing branching from wits and it does that exactly
The zoologist skill gives you a bonus to wits. It says *affects skills* , which means that the character has an increase of level to whatever it affects whenever you get them. It sucks
It's stuff like this the original forums were good for. 👍
Then they closed them.😒
Holy shit! Thanks for taking the time to actually go through all of these. I’ve been overlooking these since I got the game thinking they were just thrown in by the developers as a laugh. But I’ll definitely use this as reference for getting some much needed boost. *instant subscribe*
Knowledge of Arts can provide +5 Morale at a Lounge... That's all I've seen. It'll say "For having a creative space"
Love your vids! A lot of you tubers don’t seem to take this game seriously, when they play. You are definitely one of the best SOD you tubers I have found! Great job & thanks for all the content!
Amazing, I was wondering about these skills (saw a few while randomizing, also). Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. Incredibly useful information.
I got a girl with “sexting” which makes you lose 5 influence a day lol
Honestly, I say that's pretty worth it. It's the zombie apocalypse you just can't be picky anymore. LMAO
So that's why my morale is miserable.
TheImpatientGamer I want date Xd
ahahahaha i notice that as well jesus christ she flirts everything that walks. XD 8888 - ethan h3 XD
Really? LOLOLOL That is fucking epic!!!
I don't know if anyone else mentioned it but there is a sleep psychology skill that gives you +2 beds
I have a member with the sleeping in shifts hero bonus and a -1 bed use trait. She had a blank fifth skill so I taught her sleep psychology. That is the equivalent of 6 beds, very handy in the nightmare zone
@@robinvegas4367 Is it though? Cause that means you can't use a white noise machine because you have no sleeping quarters. Besides, 2 beds = 1 outpost. Recycling (2mats, 25 parts) = 2.5 outposts
My sleep psychologist is a white guy with a THICK Puerto Rican accent. Needless to say, I use him every legacy.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this- you got yourself a thumps up and a new subscriber!
Awesome Work!
Great video man. Very informative. I thank you sir. I'm following you from now on.
I had a character in my game say, "I'm glad that I worked so hard to improve my credit rating." On another note, I love the skill that lets you see containers through walls.
Very informative video. Thank you for your hard work putting this together.
Recycling is one of those skills and makes 2 materials per day.
Aaaaannnnnnnnnddddd i found one and switched them and now can't seem to find one
ghost Fox that really stinks, as long as you aren’t going for a builder legacy I don’t think it’s that crucial.
Its +2 materials AND +25 parts per day for recycling.
B G yeah
@@joethetoeoftoes Materials income can come in handy if you build things that require daily materials, like extra beds, hydroponics and luxury barracks.
Found a new one.
Recycling: +2 Materials per day, +25 parts per day.
Had NO LUCK googling this freakin skill.
An informed guide, thank you. Much love
Hey Irish . Just wanted to say love the videos. You're the only that is giving people what they want .
Thank you Turtle.. you did great work!
Amazing work. Thanks, mate.
Very helpful thx!!! You sir earned a new sub😀😀
Video liked. I can tell you put time and effort on this vid, thank you.
what an underrated video. tons of information and an excellent accent. you're great
Awesome video man, I didn't even know these traits had their advantages. Thank you
sleep psychology” which gave +2 beds and +6 morale
I have referred back to your video and JH DL comment 3 times today alone! Thanks SO MUCH!
Awesome video. Very helpful.
Subbed bc you make great state of decay 2 content, keep it up 💯
Thanks that video helped alot I actually had no idea things like fishing ment +2 food ! Awesome
Straight to the point. Love it
Well made vid. To the point. Thanks for your time. 😎🇦🇺
Thanks for this! Bravo
I appreciate the time put into this
Appreciate this ....i didn't know any of that!🤙🤙
Thank you for doing this.
I found a guy that had a trait that makes him 100% immune to blood plague and he has the music skill and three pocket spaces, although I’ll never use him because he’s to good and I would probably lose him.
Yea I'm thinking about doing a traits video but there are so many XD
100% immune to blood plague is from the 'never been sick' trait
I dont thinknit makes you immune. Just takes way more hits before getting the plague
I haven't lost anyone yet, day 18, play co op and you'll be fine
AgeDrain it does make you immune I take my guy out for plague hesrt runs
I rushed through picking my characters, focusing on the obvious ones from the previous game (mechanics, computer, medical) and never even considered the other skills... thank you for this, this is going to give me even MORE playtime! :D
Great Video!
Thanks for all the Time you spend for another great Video !
I think i woud prefer fishing, lichenology and probably music, for my 3 Charakters in a new Game.
This was a great video thanks for ur efforts! I’d like the same type of video but on all the possible traits.. I started a game with someone who had BAD FASHION SENSE... well that’s -3 moral for EACH person in ur community!
Lol Iv started so many new games because of the misunderstanding of the skills and traits..
great video, thank you
Nice video saves me a lot of time.
Wow, thanks for this. I've been passing these up because I thought these were useless, like the first game. But, this is good. Nice work
I have been using a survivor with fishing skill in my community. It is amazing starting out with that extra food per day. Toss in any food producing facility and you never need to worry about food. Also no need to get a food producing outpost.
Thanks for the video.👍
I seem to get a bunch of clones in the face, because you have a good handful I haven't seen before. 😒
Germaphobic with Sewing and Pin Ball are the three best skills to start out your new community with. They give you a bunch of health and learning bonuses, they’re the best 3 to pick.
Just a thought, maybe so a second video that covers the books that teach skills, or maybe the choices at max level.
One of my characters has the bartender skill, it increases moral by 3 and gives knowledge of bartending, the knowledge allows you to make mixed drinks in the lounge.
I got one from the survivor group that wants you to help them make a still. Once you do the quests with them you can recruit one with bartending skill.
Oh. But not really important for me hahaha i have quite lots of better skills to gain ahah
Traits....
Determined 120 stamina and 120 health
Immortal 160 plus health
Just keeps going 150 plus stamina
Hard to kill
Tough as nails both 140 plus health .....there are some awesome traits! I have a guy with Hard to kill and immortal his starting health was 182...his health is over 200 with 3 points in fighting left to gain , will give him another 12 points in health..
Ancient Alien my two best characters:
Active Duty Military
Gun Collector
Immortal
Blood Plague Immunity
Tough As Nails
Grew Up Around Cars
Mordechai is the plague immunity a real trait lmao
My traits would be
Fell 2 stories
Chronic back pain
Smoker of copious amounts...
therealbush 911 yeah, it's called Blood Plague Survivor
@@GeorgeWBush-sx2ih yea, but its really rare
Oh thanks that makes more sense than what the description said
i'm still looking for a dominatrix to lead my community, no luck yet.
I got a braggart with warlord leadership style, high fighting, and medical knowledge. Is that close?
yarp ~ better than anyone i've found so far :)
I once have a Warlord Leader with +6 Bonus Morale Leadership Effect, Swordsplay skill which pretty fucking awesome when kill zeds, and he got Full Pathology Skill, high Stamina which you can literally sprint soooo far, but the fucking bummer is that he could die from just from 3 zombie slaps, which I work hard to keep him alive, but then there's one time where a Juggerfuckingnaut attacked my base, I got Max (his name) as a follower that day, and he got ripped literally insta kill from Juggernaut. I fucking HATE and LOVE this game at the same time.
Ouch. Sorry to hear that your favorite died. Good luck. :)
How do you guys lose people lol?! This game is so easy it’s so disappointing to me I literally haven’t lost anyone or even cane close I really wish they would add a hardcore mode
next video on special attacks please? would be aweosme. Keep the good work
tralarimtamtum So far my fav special attack is the leg sweep. Basically just gives you an insta kill.
I think the close combat one is the best by far, its so much less stamina for a kill. Try it out and see how it goes for you!
Really helpful
Wicked thanks
I had a character in my first playthrough with the "Bartending" skill. The "flavor text" was "Raising spirits with spirits" and her skill benefits were Knowledge of Alcoholic Beverages (which apparently let her mix more effective drinks at the Lounge - not 100% sure but I assume perhaps this gives more of a morale boost than normal), and Knowledge of Cooking.
This is fantastic, really, I also appreciate the time order in the info area thing. I must say though, it's frustrating either "standing rewards" weren't explained enough or I just still didn't understand it :'(
Great video
Great videos! Would you know why I do not see invites from other players when playing on a pc? seems I can only play with xbox players.
Very informative, earned yourself a new subscriber i am going to be making the same kind of videos :)
I thought real skills were helpful. Again you opened my eyes to the FISHING and LICHENOLOGY. LOVE THE VID KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.
bro i always got rid of people with random 1 star skills like these... i didnt know they even have a benefit at all. some of the skills are actually really really good and i wish i knew about this earlier. thanks and great video!
Holy crap. I always ignored those "useless" skills, but some of them are insanely useful!
Chester Rico so did I. Mainly b/c I had no idea what they did, turns out I might have to go recruiting
Super helpful, I have been afraid to pick people because some of the best skills sound useless.
Thanks fot the wonderful tips and locations for places ive used these to make my game a lot less stressful.
Quick question but whats youre favorite special zombie? Im not talking about the feral or juggernaut but the normal zombies with rare outfits.
My favorite special zombie is this swat zombie with a traffic cone on his head instead of a helmet.
I love Irish turtle
There's a trait I've only ever found once and it was on a random character that I recruited, it's called knife fighter and it let's you grab from the front without having whatever skill it is that grants you that ability, he's a god
I just subed bruh
nice work! do you know if the loot are respawning? and when you changing the map do you get random maps or only changing between those 3?
You change between the 3 and loot only respond when you revisit a map.
Grate vid but Just wondering if your going to do this again for the new juggernaut edition?
Theres been quite a lot added since then I might have a look at doing it though the list is difficult to do when it's all random rolls to get them. XD
Is there a way to zoom in and out the third person view (I don't mean to the first-person view), I'm not sure what happened to my game but my camera is locked in close view, like I zoomed the third person view in close.
Awesome and informative video, I do know that there are 2 skills not here. Bartending And sexting.
Finally someone else who’s irish that plays this game
Yep that’s it, I just started and I’m gonna start a new play through, thanks . Lol
Knowledge of sport has bonus in the gym in the barricaded mall in Drucker County
Thank for the great info butt just asking??? Where your WALKTHROUGH vid cant find them lol...
3 years later to the date, but worth watching. I'm gonna get that Lichenology skill for Lethal Zone. Was planning on having a medicine garden, cause I'm gonna be spamming the infirmary's health boost option.
Hey what's up guys. I found another unique skill that I have not heard anyone talking about. It's called "Mobile Operations" and grants 50% Fuel Efficiency, Knowledge of Mechanics, Knowledge of Auto-mechanics, & +1 Fuel daily. Also as a Hero you get 50% Vehicle Impact Reduction. The Character's name is Eric. Some of his traits listed are Sloth-Like Metabolism that grants -50% Food Consumed Per Day, Morale Bonus from Luxury bed facilities, but -30% Max Stamina which is the only negative. Also Eric is listed as "From an Armored Unit" that grants +5 Max Fuel Storage. Just wanted to share what I encountered while playing. Great Video. Thumbed Up!
Never knew how rare some of these are I have 6 of the 2 meds a day one and a bunch more
I have loads of characters with the same unique skill can you erase it or do I just need to find new people?
I got a super rare character they wear a skeleton hoodie and a skull mask. Has negative traits i assume to make the game harder or just got a bad roll. Reall cool character but really hard to roll for i skipped her 4 times on accident for 4 hours finally got her and now im trying trying to roll her again can never find her, she is the hardest character to get in the game no joke. My friend spent a entire day around 14 hours rolling to get her and he finally gave up because she never showed up not even once while he was rolling. There is also a hoodie guy with a skull and I think a blue mask hes hard to get aswell. As for traits the best in my opinion is computer, chemistry and utilities those are the best traits to make the best base in the game. Solar panel, 2 hydroponics farms, a stage area, no beds workshop for making ammo and a still for base wide water and 2 medical outpost and 2 ammo outposts and 1 of your choosing i pick3d the artillery outpost as my fifth outpost for calling in air strikes to get a fifth you need a lv 3 workshop to be able to craft the base mod. I completed 1 play through in just 15 days. If you need help my xbox gt is Ideal Anguish.
I read this and remember about that and I just got a female with skeleton hoodie
Somebody gotta introduce this man to the Community Editor
I had two survivors that had fishing/ angler trait but for me they both brought my morale down by 7. I also had a survivor who had a "farting around" trait which increased morale and I think a small gain in influence
Wow just as I watched the licjenology I clicked 3 times and got it. Thought I was in for a long run lolol
Oh boy, I was happy to recieve Lichenology, Fishing, and Music
Also can i ask if I have two members in the community with fishing does that mean I get +4 food or does it not stack ?
Do you know if daily bonuses (food +2 per day) works also in co op when i join someones game? And what about driving skill - is this effect shared across my community? Or its only active when i pick the character with this still? Thanks.
Driving is only on that character, and when you join someone's game your still getting the plus 2 bonus to your community not his.
i have one that is a funeral car driver, it gives the same benefits as the driving skill
what are the hero bonuses associated to the trait/skill?
Nice video thanks, was wondering if it is possible to unlearn a skill read from a book?
Once that base skill slot has a skill I'm pretty sure it's there forever.
Only way to do that is with a lobotomy, my friend.
Driving + auto shops actions = 20 hordes and infestations killed around the map. Super useful when you want to do missions or just hanging around base and letting the infestations build up
One skill one of my survivors has is Barista: speeds up making cocktails in the Lounge and gives knowledge of cooking and of alcoholic beverages.
For those of you wondering, knowledge of the arts gives +5 morale for the lounge. Not sure if it has to be lounge 3 or if any level of lounge will do.
Lichenology, fishing, and driving are definetely some of the more useful
Arts in general is used in the Lounge to unlock different Morale Boosting benefits.
yea i got lucky and rolled design, lichenology, and fishing for my starting characters, its pretty OP
notice the "traits" (and skills)
for those who want another game as reference to what this mechainc/feature is:
"Rimworld" has randomized start with a large pool of traits for your starting pawns.
these each have pros and cons on your character.
this makes me want to mod SoD2 with function identical to a Rimworld mod called "Prepare Carefully"
it let's you create starting characters with the traits of your choice, instead of just rolling the dice repeatedly until you get a hero you like. it also let's you save any heroes you like, so you can quickly load them up if you start a new game, instead of going through the dice rolling all over again. very time consuming.
you will note the traits in SoD2 gives many pros and cons. be that some "skills" or some gain/reduction in health, stamina, etc.
I had a character with fishing during my playthrough. His skill was really great, unfortunatelly he was the only surviver I have lost so far (day 8). He did not even die because I screwed up. I was fighting a bunch of zombies and at some point I threw a firecracker to lure them away. Once they were all on one place I killed them off with a molotov cocktail.
And if someone wonders how my fisher died: He died due to invisible fire. All the fires were out, but once I looted a plague zombie my fisher started burning. I backed up and he started burning again.. then he died. And then I had to build a farm.. thanks to the invisible fire bug :(
I loved the fishing skill though. +2 food/day is huge!
Sexting is a useless that was not on your list. My first warloard had that same skill. Just thought that I share that with ya. Great vid.
so in a group of 10, have 5 lichonologist and 5 fishers, and get the staging point, and you pretty much removed any need for farms. break down every rucksack of food and meds. no material cost. all you have to worry about is bullets.
Knowledge of the Arts is used for the Lounge if I recall correctly.
I saw the one last night; “Farting around” no idea what it does, was a mysterious signal character who ran off, but they did have Farting around
