In episode 246 we welcome our guests, the legendary Eric Sprott, and Oxygen Capital’s Mark O’Dea. In today’s episode, we’re talking gold, silver, mining and exploration.
We talk about recent performance, and the popularity of gold among some high-profile institutional investors. We get into the lifecycle of mining and exploration companies, and allocating capital over the full lifecycle. We hear the story of the Gold Corp. Challenge, and how that became the launch point that took Mark O’Dea from contract geologist to running what would later become a multi-billion takeout by Newmont.
We discuss the M&A appetite in the sector, and cover some practical thoughts on how investors can put some of the things from this conversation together to potentially implement a few ideas for their own portfolio.
All this and more in episode 246 with Eric Sprott and Mark O’Dea.
I get the honors of adding the first comment. These are two legends! Such a treat. Thanks for the show.
Loved the show! I have been following both of these gentlemen and am invested in 3 of the 4 companies under oxygen capital and may pickup the 4th company. I am heavily invested in Discovery Metals and have separated my trading between two brokerages. I use one for profit taking and one for long term holding. Discovery Metals has returned me a profit margin equal to the S&P 500 Index. Waiting for the gold and silver prices to escape the hold of the manipulators! I listen to Eric's show every Friday. Again, best show ever!
Ceo.ca comments section got me to here.. glad I found you guys..

This was a great interview. The one guy was nervous with Eric Sprott there.
Agreed. Great interview and discussion.
I just listen to Eric Sprott and invest in what he does. 🤪
how has it worked so far, I've followed a few of his investments recently
@@mefour9931 I started following his advice in June. So far so good.
The best is to find companies before him, and when he buys, it validates your decision !
@@citycams-fc LOL, if I was that smart I'd be a billionaire too.
@@CharlesCherryWatercolors hahaha, I'm still poor, but at least, Im not all in cash
I am asking myself what Eric is thinking about Pure Gold Mining tonight?
double down on PURE GOLD Mining
If I had some cash, I would !
Right on, Discovery is my major, thanks for the update.
