Prof. Dr. Yubraj Sangraula is a PHD Professor of Law, the Executive Director/Principal of Kathmandu School of Law, Senior Advocate of Supreme Court of Nepal and Academic Council Member of Purbanchal University. He is also a Council Member of South Asian Institute of Legal Studies and Human Rights (SAILS Forum). Dr. Yubraj Sangraula has taught as Visiting Professor in Several Universities in Asia such as Rajibgandhi National Law University Punjab, Punjab University Law Faculty, Renmin University of China Law School, Chittagong University, and Chittagong, Bangladesh, Guru Govinda Indraprastha University Faculty of Law and Legal Studies, Beijing Communication University, China, Ehime University, Japan, Washington University St. Louis, Georgetown Law Center, USA.

I agree with his view point. Our current political leaders have failed us miserably. Especially the Oli and his company had made it so complicated. Pradeep Gyawali, the then Foreign Ministry, that he mentioned was the biggest proponent of the MCC. They even let their own party split to pass MCC. This simple fact can make us understand how powerful is MCC. Letting it into our country would be start of something BIG.

MCC is not a problem but their policies/terms and conditions * are, basically it has mentioned that their policies will be prioritize the most before our Nepali constitution (Indirectly). Now that is unbearable, This is just a single point, there are many others too. The same thing they did to Afghanistan/Other middle east countries and left them in the middle of nowhere. So Majority of us are against of it. And this is just a beginning. Just Hope for good things to happen.

@@Hithere-qj1wj It all Started in the same way, if you see the history, after camping & building a military bases at someone else's country they named it as a 'fight against terrorism ' for almost two decades or more they got nothing and left at the end, only the people living there got suffered and left with the memories of horror & violence & millions of Civilians were killed for no reason in the middle east. U.S does everything on purpose they did the same thing in Iraq, not to fight for terrorism again but for Oil & Gasoline. Which in some way they showed the world what they wanted to show that they are against terrorism, which was plus point for U.S and fooled us. Why do you think that U.S is much more concerned about MCC to be implemented in Nepal ? We have nothing So such resources except our centuries of old cultures & traditions but also why ? The reason is China has become the super power country in the world and growing faster & faster, & U.S doesn't want that , the only way to keep an eye on them is to 'Spy on them' by being nearer to them & Nepal was the best option for them, which they named MCC and also funded 60 Billion NPR to the government. They can't ask India for that because China & India has their own conflict regarding border land. It is also mentioned in a MCC Policies that if any Nepalese citizens gets Killed in any Certain military Operations, U.S government is not responsible for that and neither Nepal government will be able to take any charges against them. First of all our country's constitution doesn't allow that but also now why do they need to operate a certain military operation in future if there is not any 'terrorism' issues or any kind of conflict with other nations in our homeland ? They will be just using us for their own beneficial purposes it is clear as that. You should have read the MCC Terms & Conditions for further info. Which is unacceptable.

I agree with you on IPS 2019. Neutrality policy adopt garepaxi, we should not engage in such partnerships that concerns our neighbour. But does the state partnership mean we need to cooperate with US on it's interest? We might have such partnerships with China as well if it strengthens our defence capabilities. I might be wrong, I'm just curious, that's all.

Nepal could be like the Ukraine in the US vs Russia conflict, but if there were to be an intercontinental nuclear missile exchange, Nepal would not be in the, "middle". US would strike from the Pacific Ocean/ Mariana island military base and China would fire East. The bigger problem is the India Vs China conflict.
We havent signed or surely arent planning to sign any military alliances like Nato.
So it is higly unlikely for us to have a Ukraine-like situation here.

Possibility scenario now if MCC is pass as it is, Nepal automatically become a member of indo- pacific strategy , it hints Chinese that American has complete intention to create instability in China Tibet via Nepal and China will definitely put military units all along its border with Nepal, then its beginning of proxy war in Nepal. In less then a decade Nepal will completely rely to India and India will take full advantage of it and might make it 29 state of India or Nepal will be divided into pieces, some part will forcefully join China and some part will forcefully join India after some years of bloodshed. All the best to future Nepal to all Nepali, the country which was protected by not only brave soldiers but also women and childrens who fought and died to save Nepal freedom and sovereignity during Anglo Nepal war, Tibet and China. 😔😔😔😔
