It is mostly made from hydrocarbons- even if it isn't and it is sourced from water, how are you getting the energy to make it? Certainly if it was totally green, it is still a huge waste of green energy while others are forced to rely on fossil fuels due to our economic situation= that energy could run many homes, he doesn't need a yacht- I've managed without one. It is basically just a thinly veiled attempt to make himself look environmentally conscious while not actually doing anything about the kind of lifestyle that is so damaging. He could invest that money in public transport and cycling infrastructureprojects and advocacy instead and make a long-term difference, instead of "green" yachts and ugly carbon capture technology that still can't beat a forest in economy of scale and only needs to consume more energy in the process Besides he still has private jets and helicopters. Just fly coach- the density of seating makes it far less carbon intense..
