My boyfriend is Cambodian and I love when his mom makes this!!! It’s my favorite food ever!! I want to learn how to make it so I can surprise him!! Thank you for this video I can’t wait to make it 💕
looks so good bong thankyou I'm going to give this recipe a try love it!.. such nice variety of seafood by the way. Especially with khmer New year's coming soon!
Thanks for this! I've been wanting to try other people's version of this. Do you know how long it will store if left in the fridge? Can you post a video of some pahok sauce that people use to do green mango and stuff in if you don't already have one please?
I'd just like to say the "crunchy eggplant" is Thai eggplant just in case anyone is looking for it and can't find it under "crunchy eggplant" lol. thank you ming for the recipe. :)
I've been wondering which brand to buy since mostly everyone else's video only say prahok and never recommend a certain brand to buy; Thank you for confirming which brand to buy. Gotta love Cambo Cheese, Lol! Also, I'd rather cook the prahok in a lil sauce pan with some boiling water for a couple of minutes....Just my preference...
Im craving some khmia " ba-hope" now... mom used to wake up saturday mornings to start her jello mix with the yellow fruit can.. then wake me up to get laundry ready and go to store khmia to get the herbs for "thuk- ma-hawk".. and breakfast was a "nawm-bow".. miss ma's cooking!!
I love this stinky sauce ! It was my weekly special as a kids with fresh veggies and steam rice. This sauce is liquid GOLD in a khmer community. Lol... So yummy! I am going to make it :)
It's very coincidence that this is how I make my sauce lol except I use a diff kind of brand , thx for the recommendation . I really hate the other brand of smell so I use pantai brand only
My girlfriend is Cambodian and adorable! She makes Prahok all the time, so I wathed this so I can make this on my own and surprise her! Thanks for sharing!!! 👍👍
Tell Ming Chea to make the one with the thin sliced limes in the sauce. Oh man so good. First time I had that was when I was like 9 or 10 years old back in 89
That was a good recipe but seriously doh?! Why YaL hon??? Lol , we stick to red meat only for tek prahok ( beef and lamb and organs) anyways that was a very well flavoured recipe thanks - 🇦🇺🇰🇭

From my own experience I stored it several months (3-5) without putting the mints and egg plants.
