If you abandon the genocide route at ANY point after this fight, Undyne actually did save the world.
I was never able to beat this fight, so in my case, she did.
still an amazing song, at least I got my @$$ handed to me while battle against a true here was playing.
@@StarLordX448 I just reset and only killed high exp yielding monsters just to get to LV11. It made the fight a little easier. :)

1:39-1:58 I think this part is meant to represent the dreams that were dashed by the genocide run as well as the heroic futility of Undyne's fight 'cause she will eventually lose , but doesn't give up. It also represents the saddening realization that Undyne is already dead, but is fighting beyond death to strike down the player.
It's also interesting because, where before she was a self-righteous bully, she now finds a true reason to give her life.
@@exumbra1399 undyne was never really a self righteous bully she is and always has been a hero she cares about her friends and will fight to protect them the only reason undyne fights you in the pacifist run is cuz you are the 7th and final soul they need there is no evidence stating undyne has ever fought let alone seen a human before considering she had assume the human based on anime she had seen before with alphys only a phew monsters actually know what a human is due to evidence showing most probably a human hasn't fallen in over 100 years and monsters only know humans from books only asgore toriel gerson flowey and maybe sans seem to know what a human looks like so undyne is excited/a bit scared to finnaly face a human of legend the one's that sealed them away and she even states "no one has made it past asgore" we can assume most humans fought through olden time underground's just to meet a horrible fate at the end but undyne is arguably the kindest monster in the underground barring papyrus based on morals and loyalty to asgore
This is beautiful. It keeps the true feel of the original song but is completely remade and transformed from something made to be retro into something that can truly be called modern art.

The original song always had that neat combination of serenity and energy. You've managed to amp up the energy without sacrificing the overall feel of the song or drown out the less active parts of the music. Instant fave, and probably my favorite take on True Hero, bravo!
Plot twist: The reason she smiles... is the same reason that All Might from MHA smiles.
This is the only cover/remix of this song I've found so far that adds to the intense feeling of the original, rather than taking it away. Awesome job.

It's by this time in Undertale that you realize something. Something critical. Something heart-wrenching.
That you are not a hero. You are not THE hero. Sure, you, no longer Frisk, but You, are the protagonist, but you're a far shot in hell from being a hero, even a 'good guy.'
It's by about this time, in the mire that is Waterfall, that monsters begin to fear for their *lives.* Areas are emptier. Shopkeepers have fled. The encounter indicator is even a creepy, offsetting *smile* instead of an exclamation point. The game knows. It knows that You crave more encounters. More EXP. More LOVE.
You know thar old prophecy Gerson mentions in the pacifist route? About an 'Angel' interpreted as an 'Angel' of Death? It should be obvious if you did play pacifist before this and took Flowey's advice. You are the Harbinger of Death. The entity, not the human, that will free the underground. Not through shattering the barrier, no. But by freeing them all from this very world.
And, Undyne knows this. She knows that you are not the hero. She knows there is none. So what does she do? She becomes a hero. She becomes THE Heroine to save the Underground. Despite being killed in the long run, she gave anyone who survived enough time to escape. She allowed the monster race to survive. Of course, to get rid of *all* of them, well.
Let's just say that you're going to have to try a little harder than that. *=)*
Imagine putting up a remix with this music and the original music put together, it would sound EPIC! Stay DETERMINED guys! =)
