Picture this: Undyne defeated the player. They gave up, and moved in to another game. She couldn't withstand such high levels of determination, melting away - but also becoming a hero. Even decades later, the monsters are thankful for her sacrifice, singing their hearts out in her memory.
Then dies again, few eons go by and they come back, then dies again and again and again then gives up, cries in the snow and proceeds to explode some planets in spore then come back just to find out they still die just as quickly as they began and gave up, they go eat some water and try again and still die.
Then dies again, only to find new found power, FILE0. It was then to realize that the player could beat Undyne, So, the player changed their weapon into a real knife, changed their hp to 200, and changed their armor to temmie armor. Undyne couldve been beaten with this. But she wasn't,
"But The Earth Refused To Die" gave me the chills when I first heard it and in a good way. Something about it seems so epic. The transition into BAATH is really smooth as well and it sounds amazing. Overall amazing job!!
I think that the battle with Undyne is actually much more difficult than with Sans. All you need for Sans is muscle memory and sea tea (to make it much easier to pass the last attack). But Undyne's is more unpredictable, in my opinion. I've beaten Sans 6 times now with almost no damage. And every time I die on Undyne it’s like the first time.
You know, one thing that I don’t think gets mentioned enough about Undyne in this route is how she’s not just fighting for monster kind. She’s not viewing Frisk as a human trying to finish the job that the rest of the their race decided not to finish, she knows that Frisk is after EVERYONE. So, like a true hero, she’s fighting not only for the safety of Monsterkind, but for the safety of humanity as well. And that’s epic as hell.
Ok just starting this and this earth refused to die part is fucking insane, i can feel so much emotion with it, then it gets into the main part where you can tell she is fighting with all her strength, you also got the slower intermission where you can feel her struggling a little to hold it together before one final burst of energy where she gives it her all to another slower part where we know its the end for her
Megalovania is good, but Undyne's genocide song is way more moving to me, the song itself tempted me to give up on genocide the battle was a challenge but it was the music that almost made me give up on killing everyone.
BAATH has the opposite effect on me, it invigorates me to continue on, it felt like Undyne going "You did this for a challenge? WELL I'LL GIVE YOU ONE!"
Yeah it's effectively the game's last attempt to stop by appealing to your emotions. It presents the biggest hurdle it can "in character" narratively speaking. The only thing it can throw at you after that is meta-narrative (grinding too kill everyone, Sans ect ect)
This fight made me even more determined, after every death I got farther. Bit by bit, I slowly beat Undyne, the same for Sans. Some can say Megalovania is goated, but BAaTH is the the best genocide song.

I did a Genocide run with the self-handicap of only being able to use 4 heal items per fight, i couldn't get past Undine.. so in that timeline, she saved her people. even tho she probably still perished after the effects of "determinatio" wore off on her and will fall to her original injuries. Ngl, i haven't tried again to this day simply out of respect, it's a video game and i know it's silly but damn how could you possibly silence such a cool ass theme song?

First thing im done is download the Undertale and make pasific-true pasific. Ngl my whole 5 year passed in front of my eyes.
Then i started to do Genodice. And welp, everything goes very well until i came to Undyne.
I have to listen this masterpiece for 3 hours straigh. Is it worth? Indeed it is.
