What a man ! He took it like a champ. When he said " yeah its alright " it was obvious he wasnt ,he was just tryinh his best to keep it together and be strong and just do what he was asked
Absolutely dedicated incredible staff. So calm and reassuring and professional. I hope Trevor made a full recovery. I felt so sorry for him, he looked in so much pain.
@@maisienash3707 why the need for such a Sarcastic response
My dad, 63, was painting, fell off ladders and went right onto a bannister, broke 3 ribs.
He'd covered himself in paint, so stripped off and got into clean clothes, cleaned up as much of the mess as he could in the pain, walked to the bus stop, got the bus home, walked upstairs, had a shower, then as soon as he sat on the bed to put underwear on he couldn't move, the excruciating pain became too much, and from there an ambulance had to be called. The older generation are just absolute machines.
Meanwhile, my mum was fretting more over the fact they were getting new carpet getting put in the next day and needed to take the old carpet up still and move the furniture out. Only at that point did she call me and my sister to help. We sorted that whilst my mum sorted the ambo out 🤣
And so many otherwise healthy young people struggling with addiction and mental issues.I wonder if extraneous exercise , especially outdoors, would be a good alternative for facing such problems...🤔🤔🤔
@@piva1358 Addiction and mental issues are much more complex than that.
Oh god that’s one of my worst fears because my dad’s a forester as well.Hoping he recovers!
I wish him a speedy recovery 🙏
Looks painful just by watching this video, hopes he recovers well !
Thank God for these skilled emergency team, and helicopter crew, that will help so much for there patient...
Rib injuries are brutal
What a strong man, helped my amazing staff. Although I wish these clips had a follow up of the outcome
Many kudos to all the emergency services - they all deserve a payrise !!
Yes, must breath, really important
He only had severe internal and external bruising...took months to recover
I once broke one rib coughing from a very bad cold and never forgotten the pain from that never mind the trauma this poor man has gone through.
Damn
@@oso244 and the sarcasm award goes to you Mr/Mrs Twit🤐

I hope he has a speedy recovery. Merry Christmas Really.❤️🙂⚘️🎅🤶.
Hope he's feeling better now
Poor guy!
Ye..ouch!
I thought it was a 20,000 pound log
Does anyone know what was the prognosis? Did he have cracked ribs etc
what after watching all that you didn't say what happened !!!!
Type helicopter er season 8 episode 12
They said the log splitter got wedged by a tough log and instead of splitting it, it shot out and either struck him in the chest or back.
You probably meant the extent of his injuries. My bad
Surprised the evac crew didn't have a litter to carry him to the chopper.
Updates after videos please
I think a broken rib or 2? What was the outcome
Wow, that’s awful. Poor guy
Went to go watch the full episode to find out what happened...the app required is not available for me. Disappointing!
Its on youtube..type Helicopter er season 8 episode 12
So what’s the result?
*patient screaming in agony*
"was that hurting?"
We want this kind of healthcare in India...
Me too! Won't watch if you don't tell use what happened 😮
He looks good for 74!
They don't have a stretcher for the guy?
Guys....full episode is on youtube! Lol
Not anymore 😔
I hate struggling to breath
The only time here in the USA we could get any pain relief with Morphine is when we are dying . No Morphine if your pain level level below 10 and anything above 10 your dead .
Morphine isn't a great drug due to nausea and low blood pressure. Fetanyl and ketamine are much better for pain.
In Quebec they give Dilaudid as soon as you feel pain more than medium!
I don’t know how there’s so many of you still alive over there 😮
@@marnidamoulakis3827 We do have some good health care that keeps a person alive .
@@jeffmullinix7916as long as you got the money for it 🤠
Give him something to bite down on at least.
In my opinion, working as a paramedic, to transport him the way they did was absolutely wrong. Moving a patient like this and making them walk whilst they are complaining about back pain which makes a back injury fairly likely is not great.
Getting him onto a scoop stretcher and carrying him to the helicopter would have been safer and required less movement. It also would have spared him of the pain he experienced here.
Sure, it would take longer and a lot of man power, but there was an ambulance crew on scene and the pilot as well...
20 Kg, not 20K (20,000)
I like how this guy is more dramatic then the guys who lose their legs
What is absolutely mental to me 80% of the US is rural like this and it is $25,000 for life flight. They use it is the UK for broken ribs after making him walk on his own?
Well they really didnt have any other choice but for him to walk, but yeah the injuries are severe enough to justify a helicopter flight and simply the fastest way, besides costs nothing for the patient
If the helicopter is needed then it is sent out. We don't have to pay for any medical treatment here in the U.K.
i would never had make him walk and go in the van? ?? surely carry him on the strecher there was enough of you, ....ffs all the gear no idea....
I was thinking the same thing, also not sure why they never collared him… I’d load him with fen and morphine backboard and carry with c collar, get him to the stretcher remove backboard and sit him up
Yeah, sure, I have no doubt that you, watching a brief snippet of everything that happened in a RUclips video, have a much better idea of the best course of action than the trained professionals who were right there on the scene. That makes sense.
@@DodderingOldMan no , but just using some comon sense to see it all in hindsight, i think a stetcher would have done the job far better than cracking the whip making him walk and then sit in the bumpy van ...
@@DodderingOldMan You seem too forget theres trained professionals including myself outside of this video. Any day of the week I wouldn't have this patient stand or walk at any point. Look up any spinal immobilization protocol and this fits within the first line of said protocol. Any mechanism of Injury with complaint of head neck or back pain we immediately apply a cervical collar. Thanks for the comment tho
@@divisiongaming4795 UK practice is progressive and in the UK, we are moving away from collars because research shows they are ineffective. It’s better to allow the patient to guard their own c-spine. They won’t move in a way that hurts them. HEMS crews are also able to clear the C Spine on scene. Back boards are also not used in this situation because research shows them to increase the chance of injury.
A 20k log 😂
For my American friends, 20 kilos is 44 pounds.
