Although zither is widespread all around the globe but every culture has its own way. This is beautiful.
I'm fascinated by that beautiful instrument's sound and techniques, I couldn't stop listening all day! Greetings from Spain!
Those middle east kind of music remember a lot spanish music and flamenco.

Wow. Nice instrument and nice demonstration.
I started playing when I was nine. Its really hard and you really need to make time for it to get good. This guy is awesome!
Wow that was awsome I really like the sound of that instrument I could listen to that all day, thanks for sharing :)

Hello. I am creating an online course about Arabic music, and we talk about the Qanun in our course. I wanted to include some footage of how the qanun is played and how it sounds. Are you the copyright owner for this video? May I have permission to include it in our course video when we talk about the qanun? I can't offer any compensation but I can put a credit to the copyright owner in the video.
i have tremors on my right arm. it shakes and generally slower than my left arm. i wish it wasn't so i could learn to play this.

Доброе время суток. Браво 👏 👏 👏
I have tried your tuning. It seems to start with a low G ... but if I was to follow the staff you posted in the video at 1:10 it looks like this: G, G#, Bb, C, C#, Eb, F, (here is where I am confused). It looks like you have posted Gb on bass clef or C natural on treble clef?? I thought the pattern repeated and would start over at G. Please help me.
turn on subtitles at 1:52 :)
+Josp101 HAAHAHAHA .... thanks for the good laugh! With that said , my compliments to the musician ! Great playing!
Love it

the kanun is just stunning. i really want to play one, but the prices are exhorbitant, also in turkey you've have to pay for a middle class kanun in average 1500-2000 usd.
What song of Jamil Bashir do you play at the end ?
the things to protect his fingers, how do you call them? i want some to buy them.
they are there to fix the picks on the fingers not for protection, and they called "Rings"
