In the US it is illegal to discriminate based on pregnancy status. A company like Schlumberger would have known that. Either the interviewer was brand new and didn't know (and was likely fired if anyone found out) or this is completely made up. My money is on the latter.
atrocious! I got asked in a phone screening "you're not planning on getting pregnant are you? suppose you'd have to find a man first eh, haha!" I was shocked
It’s a multinational, and depending on the country, that’s illegal. Here (Brazil) I’ve heard about girls who have hidden their weddings because of their jobs. I’m not sure if it was Schlumberger, but I do hear tons about that one.
I did get asked if I was planning on getting pregnant... I still took the job 🤷♀️ that was in France and my interviewer a) male, b) English. I later told him he should not have asked, by law. He didn't know. He was an ok boss 😏
All this questions are not allowed to ask in a jobinterview in germany. If they do, you can sue them 😎
Yep, same in France

That last one...WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK?!
The last one. They should've just informed that they only want to hire men and women who can't get pregnant. No need to waste her time

In Germany you don't have to answer questions like that and you're even allowed lie, if they aks you.

They have legit reason to ask if you have medical issues so that they can accommodate you
