Just by watching this, I can tell that the RM 1 Nasi Lemak Opah is good. But I like to recommend Nasi Lemak Sambal Hijau in Kajang, and Nasi Lemak Sotong Melimpah in UPM
Haha okay you've hit a touchy subject here with Malaysians. Everyone has their favorites. I suppose that's why we have so many different places. I understand though that this is you guys particular preference. Everyone has their own tastes, and I appreciate you sharing yours.
I think you cant say its the best nasi lemak in Malaysia as we have another 13 states other than Selangor/KL. Melaka and Perlis has some awesome nasi lemak too!
Not a fail to me, I find they still give a lot of sambal for a normal order in fact way more than some other nasi lemak sellers, but yeah it'll be not enough for someone who banjirs the rice 😂
Agree... setuju.. sambal adalah Satu Perkara penting menjadikan satu makanan itu di namakan nasi lemak. SAMBAL ADALAH NAME TAG UNTUK NASI LEMAK. tanpa sambal bukan nasi lemak namanya. Jadi tambah sambal dan charge lebih untuk sambal adalah tidak patut.. tambah ayam charge yes.. tambah nasi charge.. yes.. but not sambal...
Tidak tradisional.. sbb makcik makcik niaga jalanan biasanya klu pelanggan mintak tambah banjir sambal pun dia tetap bagi kerana itu kepuasan peniaga kerana disitu dia tahu yg nasi lemak nya sedap dan enak
Wanjo is a matter of your like it very much or you don't. Sambal is not the typical. Its not spicy, but very sweet. If you are into those spicy type of sambal, you wouldn't like it.
Tanglin is probably 1 of the oldest nasi lemak establishments in your list in Klang Valley. I like it not because its the best, but rather because it's a family tradition to go there pagi2 buta. Based on your video, i'll be going to get some Nasi Lemak Basmati (Klang) soon. I'm tired of Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu and Village par haha. Thanks for this the Kumaars. You guys are my favourite family food review show in the world.
Zman dlu2 nasi lemak ori...sambal x brape manis...nasi beras biasa tp wangi dgn daun pandan n santan..ikan bilis goreng, kacang tanah goreng, telur rebus n timun... dibungkus dengan daun pisang n surat khabar lama....😁
Sambal nasi lemak kalau nak betul2 sedap dia kena campur sambal sotong dan sambal ikan iblis,di sungai petani makcik pergi umrah tiga empat kali sebab nasi lemak dia terlampau laris, sehingga kalau nak pi beli kena keluar awal2 kalau tidak kena beratur panjang, nasi lemak dia sanbal dia campur sambal sotong dan sambal ikan bilis memang lazat❤❤❤❤❤
I'm afraid I have to disagree with the list, especially Nasi Lemak Basmathi. For me, Nasi Lemak needs to use Beras WANGI, not Basmathi Rice. Traditional Malay Nasi Lemak uses Beras WANGI or fragrant rice. Specifically, the rice grains are smaller, and stickier is better. Nasi lemak needs to absorb the lemak from coconut and the starch from beras wangi making it more aromatic with smells of pandan leaves and ginger. Basmathi is suitable for Beriani and nasi arab etc. If you notice, the nasi lemak opah uses beras wangi, which is smaller grains and stickier. That is the real nasi for nasi lemak. But, because you guys prefer sambal more to championing the dishes, you overlook the type of rice they used.
Good Job Kumar Family came out with the ranking for the best nasi lemak in Klang Valley !👍👍👍Village Park nasi lemak is a Chinese Version of nasi lemak. Sad to see it is a trend in Malaysia now to put their drinks in plastic bags even though need to pay extra 50sen while drinking in the restaurant..it shows that you don't care about the environment and it can harm your health as the same time by drinking drinks with micro-plastics.
Tried all... And I 100% agreed with the ratings... Basmathi Nasi Lemak and WanJo is definitely up there above the rest in terms of taste, portion, sambal and price.
I do think the sambal flavor preference is vary from person to person. Some people likes the sweeter side of the sambal, some like it less sweet, while some likes no sweetness in it at all. For me I personally like sweeter sambal when I was younger, but as I grown older, I prefer less sweeter one(not as much as a sweet tooth, and also pre-caution to diabetes via gene) while also not too spicy, so it don't burns my stomach the whole afternoon after eating them for breakfast😂. (note, some stall/places sells their sambal so spicy that it has almost no other flavor to taste, I brought them without the sambal and just pour some rendang/curry sauce on them as a substitute)
I absolutely love and needs peanuts in my nasi lemak. The daun pisang also makes it more aromatic, so its a plus if its there. Rachel is like one of the expert "orang putih" on nasi lemak 😊
wanted to try my luck here commenting for Nasi Lemak lovers. as for me , Burung Hantu and Villlage Park , is just a nasilemak which is reachable for me if i am craving for NL.. my top ranking will be 1) Nasi Lemak Daun Pisang @ Taman Seputeh KL - Malay style nasi lemak 2) Nasi Lemak Sri Rampai - tapao style 3) Nasi Lemak Pagi Chowkit - chinese style Like if you heard any of the above.
Wanjo terkenal sbb foreigner akan kesana disebabkan video² youtuber luar buat...sebenarnya mmg wanjo biasa² je,ramai sbb viral je...utk foreigner ok tp utk local,x sedap manapun...nasi lemak yg dibungkus daun pisang tepi jalan paling padu...murah dan kebanyakannya x mengecewakan....
I haven't tried other than nasi lemak basmathi since I am from Klang. I plan to try village park and burung hantu nasi lemak since they are so famous. Now I know this, I think that's it. No need to try anymore😂😂
@KumarFamily…My absolute fav dish is nasi lemak, can eat it daily. But somehow the sambal these days are getting sweeter, would love/love to have a spicy/savory type sambal. Not sure if any one else feel the same….
The 1st one, I think it's a trend for those restaurant nowadays... A few months ago, I went to eat with my colleagues at a western fusion restaurant. I ordered a Chicken Chop. The most unsatisfying thing is, They give fries, but no sauce (chili and mayo). An the black pepper sauce for the chicken chop is very little, like the dipping sauce tray size at fast food restaurant but slightly bigger... If we want more, they'll charge us more. For me, I'll never go back to that restaurant ever again. If people say that those things have cost just pay, I'll just go nah there's more places that can provide me better quality of food. If talking about Nasi Lemak, I think the best nasi lemak so far that I've eaten was like 10 years ago, when I still in my college. On evening, there's this one guy selling nasi lemak close to my rent-house. He just selling it beside his car at a parking lot. That place is kinda seclude, so not too busy. The rice water perfect. Soft, have very good coconut flavour. Majority of Nasi Lemak I eaten usually doesn't have that strong coconut taste. Some even doesn't have taste.
Ouhh i just tried Village park a few months ago and I thought that's the best nasi lemak I've ever had. Now kena pegi Klang la pulak cari nasi lemak Basmathi 😅
No nasi lemak pakteh in Cheras? Not much side lauk besides fried chicken and fried egg, but not bad for a road side stall. You should check em out. And oh, their sambal for towards the watery banjir type
I agree The Nasi Lemak Basmathi !! is at another level and ... We have one in sect7 Shah Alam. Although cant say the best in Malaysia. ada 13 negeri lagi. Go try. Out of this world ... and.... Nope! Wanjo..erghh...nahhhhhhhhhhh..nope for local..for tourists, backpackers, foreigners, please find another nasi lemak spot..all the other rest is the best..for the taste(wanjo) i think they just twist the flavour because who cook wanjo nasi lemak from Indonesia..wanjo sambal is too sweet..
Wanjo 😂😂😂😂 wanjo is over hyped la bro. The sambal so so only taste like blended cili. I agree with others. their side dish maybe nice. Lets talk about basic nasi lemak not nasi campur. The sambal is out and the rice lacks of coconut milk. This mass production caters will bring down its quality. Notice a lot foreigners goes there directly thinking thats how good nasi lemak taste like. Wrong.
I've tried all in this video except Basmathi and RM1. I have to agree Tanglin is at the bottom. Nothing really stands out for my taste bud. Got some reviews about Basmathi being mixed bag. Maybe consistency issue?
Nasi lemak villge park n budung hantu to me is just over hyped by someone who may have interest with the restaurants, if village pakr strategy to make more money by charging their customers for extra sambal is too much for me, it's damn too much.
I have tasted village park & wanjo both with ayam goreng. My personal review in term of sambal wanjo win but for the ayam goreng village park win. I am not sure others places cause i am not tasted it yet.
There is plenty of good nasi lemak compared to typical spot like well known for foreign.try one in pandah indah lrt every morning.the nasi lemak is so good.plus others breakfast finger licking good😂
Itu masih boleh dimaafkan... Yang paling tak boleh dimaafkan bila dia kedekut dengan santan! Nasi lemak tak layak bergelar nasi lemak tanpa santan! Nasi lemak bukan bertujuan untuk menghina orang gemuk, ya?
nasi lemak without peanut is NOT nasi lemak. peanut is one of the must ingredients of nasi lemak. the fried chicken is not part of the original nasi lemak..it is just one of the side dishes. cannot count dishes (like fried chicken) as part of nasi lemak.

I would consider it just best in KL Klang Valley
100% agreed. To be fair with the other states..seem like Kumar need to hunt for nasi lemak again around Malaysia just to declare the title. 😂
Superb love for Nasi lemak burung hantu, nasi lemak oriental kopi, nasi lemak village park. ♥️♥️♥️
List..1. the best sambal
2.the best fried chiken
3. The best rice
4.the best mix all kind gravy
5.the best complete full nasi lemak plate.. .
sorry but you cannot be charging extra for sambal in a nasi lemak....its a fail for village park.its not like you're asking for extra chicken🥴
Not a fail to me, I find they still give a lot of sambal for a normal order in fact way more than some other nasi lemak sellers, but yeah it'll be not enough for someone who banjirs the rice 😂
hmmm its not uncommon to charge extra for sambal.. and usually the extra sambal is for another portion.. so yeah.. its reasonable..
I think its fine to extra charge sambal because sambal made with lots of work to do. And with ingredients to
