Kudos to Matty for his behind the scenes on the different carbon fibre processes......first episode where you can actually feel the pressure and tensions starting to show ! You''ll get there guys :)
Absolutely love the Carbon Corvette trunk lid! good call on keeping the stock the shape and weight reduction. Watching intently from Canada, your channel is my favorite car channel by a wide margin. Keep up the great work!
Caught the end of the live stream with Dave earlier and been looking forward to this update. Really enjoying the short live updates on Instagram. Keep up the amazing work lads!
Top class content again. You’re channel will get the numbers yous deserve very soon. Can’t wait to see both cars up and running getting tested. With what’s has been going on in the world atm yous have done well to get to the stage yous are at hats off
Another great video lads. Dave you have it down to a point about the costs of cars. I started saving in 2018 after going back to work while I was looking after my dad to replace all the parts that’s was stolen from my car (the reaper). Didn’t get anywhere near what I needed and then 2020 I became ill and time went on and the end of the year I was paralysed so now I’m in a wheelchair can never go back to work as I have been diagnosed with ms. Took them a year to tell me as they put my paper work in the wrong file. I set up a go fund me to see if I can get the money together to get the car done and I’ve got £30 out of the expected £75000 I’ll need. Your doing a great job lads and I’m loving the series keeps me occupied every time there’s a new episode
I used to work as a composite manufacturing engineer.making carbon components for aerospace. Very impressed with matty and his attention to detail. No shortcuts in his processes and a really nice finish.
I like to hear about the money side of it, great honestly there Dave. A full budget break down at the end would be cool. Just so we can all get sick :-)
Absolutely brilliant video!! Best yet in my opinion (Apart from Josh crashing into James deane) ;P Keep up the brilliant work, and I hope you and family are all well. Cheers
I really hope you guys make the dead line, i been following these builds since the beginning and they've really come along way, and you can see how passionate you guys about the sport and hope to see you guys make it big in the world of drifting
Mati has done an incredible job, soooo good! Mad skillz 😎 Can't wait to see the cars done, been watching from the start of Games Changers and loving it
Carbon panel making video was very interesting the cars are really coming together now the adrenaline when time is short will help make them come together quickly at the end
Awesome video guys, been watching every episode from the start. really cant wait to see both cars done, they are 2 crazy builds & hopefully there will be a championship somewhere to see you both compete this year! Keep up the great work guys, love every single minute of each video. would also rather the videos be longer too lol
Totally understand what you are saying abut the budget and parts, nice to see someone saying it as it is! I know my drift truck build is meant to be a budget build and saving money by doing everything myself, but then Oh, I need a manual conversion kit Jag only mad the engine in auto... now the engine wont run because the auto box ecu isn't there, propshaft doesn't fit, new radiator........ I've given up keeping tabs on the spend! Really looking forward to seeing these finished and running :)
Both cars looking amazing every video has great content...no rest for the wicked..Best of luck next few days...looking forward to the next video and the two beasts finished...
no one is ever as honest as that with the costs of building their car, fare play for telling the truth, but make sure to drive it like it cost 10k not 100k ;)
Brave boys leaving all that stuff on the floor. I'd be guaranteed to stand on at least half of them !!!! Have ye announced what series ye ll be competing in yet?
Great video folks... cost in Ireland probably more than other countries and Brexit yes what a pain.... see it myself... look forward to the next chapter now...
Serious job on the carbon fibre, I hope Mati is going to be snowed under with work off the back of this because he deserves every success! Makes me long for the days of Josh and Mike working on the cars and tormenting the other lads working on the cars instead of just buying a new car every week and putting a set of Strom DS-2 wheels on it... more detail content on the work that's going on please!
To be honest the reason we have switched to the other car content is to simple not distract and slow the guys down building the cars. We reckon it puts them at 1/3 of the pace which means we wouldn’t have made the deadlines. A means to an end unfortunately
Dave buying the RX8 couldn't have been timed better! I was just starting to like them and now they he is building a RX8 bash car, I just can't wait to see the end result. Also the whole carbon parts process is satisfying af
It could have been done, but there would have had to have been a custom steering rack, new pedal assembly etc. and considering his Mustang is LHD anyway, it made sense to have them both LHD
Another great video lads 👍. Ye're obviously flat out atm and now probably doesn't suit but have ye ever considered just throwing up a live stream of a day in the shed? I'd give it a watch
28€ for the vett? that is a big mistake, I'll tell you why🤔 you should buy a flooded chassis from the states and register as a second hand part for no import taxes. Thats how everyone does in Europe, and that alone will save you at least 20k.. First chassis from hgk was 80% flooded cars from the states... Thats a advise for your future projects 😄 good luck guys
We would have absolutely done that if we had a year to build the cars. But we only had 150 days and when we checked shipping/customs times, the car would have landed around now with 1 week to build it. It was the timeframe that cost the money. That said we recouped about €8k out of selling all the C6 parts and it isn't so cheap getting an LS3 car even in the States right now.
What's happened to that 3 in 1 cooler (intercooler, power steering and oil cooler), that was going to be fitted to one of your cars? Change of plans? There's so much going on recently, that although I've watched every single episode, I've lost track 😂 fingers crossed for you lads, hopefully everything goes well in next 7 days Also - nice to see all behind the scenes of making carbon parts for your cars. There's so much work and skill involved
The original rad could do all of that, but the heat generated would be too much for it. It was designed for a mass flow of air from racing not drifting.
No matter how much time and money you give yourself on a project you go over budget and over time 99%of the time due to unforeseen issues. Good luck with finishing the cars on time. It's been a long road
