- Hey its Crouton! (Ryan Croteau) I first went to Guatemala at age 18 and have been surfing there every year since. Uncrowded waves, good food, Friendly locals!
This was a trip i did with some friends and clients surfing, coaching, and having a blast!

Have you ever been, if so you’d know the wave seen are in private communities that you probably can’t access, or hard to reach spots across rivers. Majority of surfers won’t make it here let alone book a ticket here because there’s more options in nica, Costa, or el sal. Been going here for almost 11 years. Crowds been about the same since day 1. Thanks for sharing your concern though!

You ever been? Half the waves you see here are in private communities or hard to reach areas. Most people go to nica or costa anyways. Majority of my friends down here want new surfers to come check it out and help their local economy.

But hey that was before everyone had to have the look @ me mentality . What used to be hard core is now flaccidcore......Oh this dudes promoting his own "retreat" business---oh god not another one
