Nice to see you try tpo cover more modern games. I too miss Mercenaries mode. It could EASILY be sold as a game of its own and be a huige success for Capcom. I also think that Capcom should've just bundled this with RE2R and make something like "Raccoon City Stories" or something.

My opinion on RE3 Remake is that its a good game but a bad remake. It neglects the whole Nemesis idea & he only becomes scary on Nightmare difficulty. The final boss is the same boss we've seen in the last two games at the time just with a little gimmick & all. But If it wasn't a remake of 3 it'd be considered more highly than most. I always wanted them to remake RE2 & 3 since I was young because I wanted to experience them but I always wanted to see them as they originally where not as a new game. But we all know where the games go from here on out. I just kinda want Capcom to stop remaking their games & start making new Resident Evil games again. Like we haven't had any side games in ages instead having remakes take this gap which always feels more hollow than if we had I don't know another Revelations game or another game all together.

True. Nemesis would be much scarier if he kept his Randomness but eliminated weapons being random. I despised the revolver being a 50 / 50 chance to show up. As for resident evil side games, we HAVE been getting a few. I have to review Re:Verse and Resistance since they are great fun but have severe flaws.

@@kyokusagani8869 I think the 50/50 chance to get the revolver or the grenade launcher is a problem but in the reverse. I played it first time having the grenade launcher for the most part of the 1st half or so of the game & the second time I started with the revolver wasting all its ammo immediately to kill nemesis & you don't find any really till the clocktower making getting it earlier kinda a waste. If you get the grenade launcher its more useful. I think it'd be fine to remove the randomness from the weapons but with Ammo, health, enemies & subtle event changes by path is more interesting. Like RE3 Nemesis had a linear story but it gave its replayability by making every death or every new game felt different even if you for the most part took the same paths just due to RNG.
Also with the side games what I mean is more the Revelations style game where you get a new story which is kinda its own thing but may be important later down the line. Also Revelations 2 is a master piece it has a great co-op story & then an even greater mode Raid mode the best version of a Mercenaries style mode in the whole of the franchise so far I think if Resistance or Re:verse tried to be more like Raid mode it'd have faired better. As a co-op PVE mode is amazingly fun & with the right balance it becomes perfection. But I guess a multiplayer PVP game could work if they worked out the right formula. Like Resistance kinda felt like a worse version of Dead by Daylight & maybe with a bit more work it could've been more than that but they kinda abandoned it. RE:verse I can't comment on as I haven't played it before or seen much gameplay of it to really know more than if you die you become a BOW or something. Umbrella corps is another PVP one & its a game... Its not good & it adds lore about wesker being alive. Interesting to look into but not really to actually play as its not well made. RE6 also had some fun multiplayer things a few game modes but sadly I came to the game after everyone had stopped playing them but one still kinda remains which allows you to do the dark souls thing of becoming a monster & trying to kill another player which is fun. Also the interlocking paths thing was interesting. RE6 is a bunch of ideas thrown at the wall & none stuck luckily leading to the people at Capcom taking a step back & walking a bit to the left & reinventing the formula for the 4th time. (Re4 was the first, RE 5 is like half as the next few where multiplayer, 6 tried & failed. & obviously RE1 Remake)

Ah, Well said about Revelations! Those ARE criminally underrated games. Revelations 1 actually gets an S under my grading criteria because the original 3DS version was one of the earliest handheld Third person shooters to utilize gyro controls very effectively. it is THE handheld survival horror game, nothing else compares. Revelations 2 is also pretty good. I'm with you, games like Gun Survivor 4 definitely mattered.@@cillianennis9921

Same to you! You've got excellent taste going through your video output, anyone that recognizes Kunio is important is cool.

I had the OG RE3 back in the day. It was pretty underwhelming and the pacing was off. Especially compared to Re CV on DC. The remake has much better pacing and to me, is much better.

Code Veronica was a huge tech advancement for having fully 3D environments, but I didn't like being defenseless in close quarters combat. I should replay that game some day. That game would make a MUCH stronger remake than 4.
