I love sara's voice but i actually prefer tegan's voice on this sonf still. She just makes certain parts sound so much more prominent and thats one of the things I love about all of their songs really
I was tryinng to explain the differences between Tegan and Sara's voices, becuase they said they couldnt hear the difference. The best I could come up with is that Tegan sounds more "typically" pretty sometimes or she can sound rough and almost manly, while Sara sounds more unusual and almost animal-like at times, but always beautiful. I don't have a preference, because they are too different and both so incredibly beautiful.
they each sing the lead vocals for their own songs during live performances and have a tendency to do all the the vocals (lead and backing) for the studio recordings. What probably happened is that they decided to treat the audience to this switch up during a live performance and someone in the audience managed to record it.

They are both gorgeous and both of their voices are amazing. They compliment each other very well when it comes singing.
