But is the Poco F4 a worthy F3 successor and one of the best value flagship phones of 2022? At first glance, not too much has changed compared with last year's model. Performance is provided by the Snapdragon 870 again, which can cope with demanding Android games like Genshin Impact and adds 5G support. The Poco F4 once again rocks an OLED screen and the stereo speaker output is better, while the primary camera sensor has been upgraded. But is it actually better? Check back for that in-depth review, coming next week.
The rest of the specs aren't too surprising, but respectable for a mid-range mobile. You've got no headphone jack or microSD support sadly, but the Xiaomi MiUI setup means lots of extra features. Battery life seems dependable so far, while the camera can handle most conditions except for serious low light. I'll be testing that out over the next few days to see how good the photo and video results really are!

Great to see you reviewing phones like this. I was contemplating getting a top end phone but not a good time for anyone to do this. My bill goes up by CPI +5%. With inflation at 10% your bill is gonna go up a heap.

Great phone, I liked the new liquid cooling technology, the sustainable gaming stability, the OIS camera and the design looks better imo.
But I will be keeping my poco F3 for another year or two.

I bought Poco F3 today in replacement for Poco X4 Pro !!!! I'm very impressed with looking and performance of P-F3 !!!! Probably in top 3 smartphones under 340€ !!!! Poco F series are simply higher classes, there is no Samsung A or Huawei Nova or OnePlus Nord.....which can compete with Xiaomi phones !!!! At least in battery life !!!!
I have had the Poco F3 since March 2022 and got it for 240€. Apart from the operating system, which I changed. I hate MIUI for Poco... I hate MIUI in general, it's a good phone for that price.
It would be very interesting to see F4 vs F3 side by side. Do some repeated antutu, battery drain, temperature, and cpu throttling test to debunked if Poco's upgraded cooling tech really helps in sustaining the SD870's performance. Btw, good content!!!

Will you make a test on social media apps? 3rd party apps usually run weird on Android phones but some phones such as S22 actually perform really well on those.
It'll be good to compare it to POCO F3 just to see if the improvements are really worth the upgrade!

wonderful video! everything on the poco F4 looks promising so far, I would most likely choose this over the redmi note 11 pro to replace my poco F1 thats currently running an android 12 custom rom but I would wait for the flash sales so I can grab it at a good price

Im using an s8 which has 580 ppi density vs the 395 ppi density of this poco f4. With the s8 being a really old model an supposedly older tech, would the display and resolution of the poco f4 look better? However, i bring back the case of the ppi densities. So which would have the better display and viewing?

the big question is does this version have a physical proximity sensor which the F3 did not and it causes serious problems taking calls.

Unlikely to appeal to F3 owners, but its early bird prices of £279 (6/128) and £329 (8/256) seem good value. Just not sure how well it will sell at its full prices £379 and £429.

If you have a Poco F3 don't buy this, but if you don't have the Poco F3 then Buy this Poco F4.

Actually it's the other way around. If you don't have the poco f3 you should definitely buy the Poco f3 instead of the Poco F4. You could probably get Poco f3 at half the price of poco F4 right now. Exact same display , same processor and the rest are not that much different either.

I am really surprised/shocked that no reviewer talks about the lack of a physical proximity sensor, which every Poco F3 user has complained about (I returned my F3 because of proximity issues). Does the same problem exist with the 2022 Poco/Xiaomi line-up?
I'm watching this on an F3 and only had problems with the proximity sense very early on. It is totally fine now.

Would've been nice if they just went with the Dimensity 9000 version of the K50 to distinguish it from the F3 but hey if it ain't broke, don't fix it I guess. At least my dad will have a different looking phone.

At least they could have equipped it with dimensity 8100, larger battery and higher resolution display like they did on redmi k50
@@andriandri732 Not really considering that D9000 being on par with 8 gen 1 still makes it decent value.
Also the pro version of the Redmi K50 (The phone series the F4 is rebranded from) that uses the D900 is priced at around 450 euros.
Would be interesting to know if they kept the same fake proximity sensor from the F3 or is it a real one ? 'coz on F3 it's a hell with it (only real inconvenient)

No need to upgrade mate. Evolution is very small from F3. Only OIS and faster charge would be worthy.
Because you can. Life is too short not to. Don't listen to the poor losers here. You get a brand new phone with brand new design and battery, extra year software, many f3 issues fixed, faster charging, slightly brighter screen, better cooling so the screen doesn't dim under sunlight after few minutes, better camera with ois, and it's a brand new spanking phone. Sell f3 for good price and buy this. Remember life is short.

Got my Poco F3 2 weeks ago, totally satisfied with it. Still think the differences to this one (67W, OIS) doesn´t justify the price to pay! And find the F3 better good looking
Without the Poco badge, the F4 could pass for any of the Redmi Note 11 models. The F3 is, I agree, a more stylish design.
Own a Poco F4 since one month. Absolutely no regret. I prefer that design. Charger and OIS are better so i’m 😁

Going to stick to the modded F3 that I have. It is running a 5000 mAH battery with a pure pixel based rom and June security updates on 12.1.
Hopefully the f4 is just as modding friendly as the f3. How bad is the camera of the f4? The F3 is terrible. My pixel 3 still destroys the picture quality with its aging 12 mp camera.

No real upgrade from the F3. I do like.the SD870 though. It'll be interesting to see if the camera quality has improved since the F3.
It's got OIS on the main sensor so yeah it has improved
