This is one of those bosses you can tell is insanely difficult without even playing. The boss is constantly attacking and there’s barely any window for attacking.
I beat this boss after trying for 2 hours on grandmaster difficulty. I’ve played every single souls game and nothing holds a candle to these guys. The rate at which they attack coupled with barely telegraphed moves necessitates muscle memorization of their attack patterns. That, with the overall buginess of some attacks with the lingering hit boxes on the charge dash and the tongue attack. Gods, it’s just such a fucking onslaught
That and it's insane now playing on Grandmaster myself, they have MASSIVE hitboxes, whereas sometimes my lightsaber will be in their FACE with the crossguard and not connect.
And you can glitch for xp inside fort kah'li so this fight is an absolute waste of time, unless you want the satisfaction of beating the so called by many "hardest boss in the game"
Also fun fact, the charged blaster knocking a frog down about to do his big leap once they hit phase 4 means you are throwing off the timing and he will immediately leap instead of giving you a red charge tell. I've done this hundreds of time and also defeated these two on GM after 16 hrs. Without taking a single hit.
I just beat these guys last night. Took me many attempts across many days. I am stubborn, so I wouldn’t go on in the game til I beat this. I am also stubborn in the way that I won’t play games unless they’re on max difficulty. I did it as soon as I got access to it. I used dual wield sabers (for the sole reason I like them) & utilized a combination of saber throwing, sprint attacks, and a single time-slow since I got that opportunity in battle. I see the video has mid-air dodges, sure wish I had that. Instead, I had to position myself to where the frogs would run into each other with their dash attacks when they both activate them. Can’t tell you how many times I jumped and landed on the tongue. Other than double dash attacks and a dash-tongue combo, other moves were easier to deal with. Often I baited the non-target frog to dash so I could split the frogs and effectively target one. Probably took me about 5.5 minutes. By far, the hardest fight I’ve had. I’d say this Boss combined with where I was at progression wise is harder than Malenia in Elden Ring.
I found that double oggdo and double rancor were easily harder than Malenia on GM difficulty. Malenia only really has one move that's hard to dodge, these guys have like 5 unblockables that they spam at you and combo in such a way that it's impossible to avoid both. And the frustrating part is that it's not even just the bosses in and of themselves, it's the bosses combined with extremely shitty hitbox and arena design. I don't know what the devs were smoking when they decided to shove this shit in the game tbh.
I got _extremely_ lucky during one of my attempts, I wish I’d been able to record it. I got snagged by the buggy ass tongue while the other Oggdo simultaneously jumped at me - Well the shockwave from the jump knocked me free from the tongue and I managed to not get insta-killed. I still ended up losing, but it was still pretty cool 😅
I managed to beat it with a combination of lightsaber throws and blaster stance on Jedi master difficulty. Incredibly unfair fight. The bosses attacks have a humongous amount of lunge. The tongue is insta kill and basically impossible to dodge without jumping. Good luck for those who dare to combat Oggdo Boggdo on grandmaster, I would be happy to elaborate on the method I used

2 things that upset me the most in this bossfight 1: The bug when 1 oggdo jumps and lands on top of the other, that cancels his jump and he immediately attacks making it almost impossible to dodge 2: The third bite after you have 1 oggdo left with less than half hp, I died twice because I always attack after the 2nd bite when he usually stays still for like a second but instead he kept going, devs knew exactly what they were doing
Some helpful pointers for this fight: -As shown, the crossguard works well -Circling help a lot -Always lock on to the closest one -be weary of walls -Dashing past it works better in some situations -only attack after the charge(but do it quickly else damage) and the two chomps -Don't get greedy -Lastly, if you don't have dash, don't fight it yet.
This goddamn fight has got me pulling out hairs! I've loved the difficulty balance throughout the game but these two are just OP. Both of them have that one hit KO tongue move I just cannot get around. In the first game you could freeze and slice it but in this no matter when I try to dodge even in mid air it will still grab me for an insta death. I don't want to cheese it with a gun and light saber throws. Anyone help?
The hitbox for the tongue is absolutely ridiculous and the closer you are to Oggdo the worse it gets. Most of the time I got snagged right out of the air, but it is indeed avoidable. You just need to be extremely precise about *double jumping to the side*
Blaster charge shots and force slam to gain back more shots and stims that regain force meter. Was just doing blaster shots and the constant force slams messed up their a.i but afterwards I would charge shot and do a poke with the lightsaber with all the blaster related perks.
After 50 tries... finally defeated both of them. As annoying as this battle was, found myself playing way better throughout the game. Really teaches ways of the force.
Whoever let this be in this game and whoever made it deserves to fight these two for their job if they lose then piss off what a poorly designed boss fight
1:35 maaan, look at this shit bro. This boss fight isn't even fun, like they didn't try to ramp up the difficulty by giving them more strings with different timings that take practice to learn and master, they just said "Ayo let's make em spam unblockable attacks and a tounge attack that you cant dodge 40% of the time because we didn't tune the hitbox right for it." but I guess if the devs wanted an unfun boss that's just hard, they succeeded 😅
Everyone is getting this fight wrong. I realized the lightsaber throw on dual blades causes double damage because of the boomerang effect. Combine that with the dexterity perk and it causes way more damage. The problem I then had was running out of force to do all this. But then I found out about the Flux perk that regenerates force. Now all you do is spam saber throw and dodge. I played the fight at least over 100 times but once I found out about Flux I beat it on grandmaster on my first try 😂😂😂
Dude… I wish I could hug you bro I spent like 5 hours straight staying up trying to beat this just to see your gorgeous comment and the strat eventually worked I can’t tell you how thankful I am
This was what stood between me and platinum trophy on GM. Heard horror stories so I saved it for last, beat it in 5 attempts. Double Rancor took me a lot longer but I think it made me learn the strategy behind beating the frogs. I’m sure it’d have been the other way around if I did it in a different order.
took me about 10 tries; i just cheesed it with the saber throws from the dual wield stance (fortitude + increased saber throw damage + elixir), and then after i took one out i just used the dark side on the other one
Well done mate. Did it yesterday before watching any videos. I tried a lot and can recommend using 2 saber stance with force regeneration and saber throw damage perks. Then just run an use throw instead of melee. Often you can double hit both. Increased damage a lot, which means less fight time. But you need to stay concentrated anyway and dont be greedy! 😉
Exactly the way i did it too it's the best i think and your right concentration is the most important especialy if they both do a red attack after each other or ar the same time

I don't believe this is a flawed fight because I actually beat this fight on the hardest difficulty and as soon as you can get access to it. Simple answer from simple logic. I only had dual wield, single, & double-blade, attack options and I did it after several tries; I beat it w/ dual wield. I think we should ask ourselves "What makes the fight flawed?" If your answer is related somehow to "I'm dying too often", then you probably need to come at the boss with a different approach. I lost several times, but I am stubborn and wouldn't change the difficulty off of Jedi Master until I beat it, and so I kept at it until I did. I have learned a lot from that fight, unlike those who never finished it or choose to call it unfair instead of a learning experience. There are really two options here. Meet the challenge or seek to reduce the challenge. If you can't beat the fight on Jedi Master mode, then I guess you aren't a Jedi Master 🤷♂

I just beat it super easily. Blaster stance and Crossguard. Fully upgraded both Perks; Fortitude: increases lightsaber damage but incoming damage is also increased Marksmanship: When in blaster stance cals blaster shots do more damage Purity: Massive increase in weapon damage for both friends and foes With this set up I was able to kill one of them with 4 charged shots, Then kill the other with the last charged shot and two lightsaber throws with the crossguard. I tried this like 20+ times on Jedi Master. Got the second one to ~25% health many times, then died. Once I loaded in and there were 2 purge troopers there with the oggdos. Strange. I got wrecked. Just now I loaded in with 3 nekkos. I hopped on one and one-hit killed both of them from atop the nekko and I'm so confused right now! I've seen no mention of this after looking around online. Somebody else has to have encountered this!
Great job dealing with the terrible combat design. This fight is maddening on grandmaster. So fun being a powerful Jedi with all those powers and mechanics to use to obliter… oh wait - poke run run run jump poke repeat 😩
Yeah I think the worse part is how tight the jump is to dodge their charge. I get Cal isn't Obi-Wan but it's just so lame to see the telegraph, do the jump and just barely miss on height (I don't have the dash).
I thought the rancor fight would be a lot more challenging than this fight. only took me two attempts for the double rancor but this took me like 30 tries lol
You must not be super familiar with games like this on the hardest difficulty. Most of it is just running around, jumping, and dodging until you can get a single hit in, and then back to running, jumping, and dodging.

This challenge is the proof that nothing is easier than creating hard shit , it just takes a dumbass game dev to just take 2 one shot mobs together in a little arena and that's it .
I would rather do Ornstein and Smogh sl1 than this garbage
(GG for the fight though)
I swear to god they made Cal's hitbox bigger for this particular fight. The devs who made this boss fight should eat shit and rot.
bro's a god
Can you show your perks and skill points before hand next time?
Is this on slow mode?
Probably one of the more poorly designed bosses in a video game , I know it’s optional but their unblockable attack combos are just ridiculous you barely get a window to attack
This boss is for souls fans, just don’t fight it if you don’t want
@@benquinones6091 “iTs FOr sOuLs FAns” is such a terrible excuse for an obviously flawed boss , if I wanted to play souls I’d go play souls this is Star Wars dawg 💀
@@vishawnjarvis6127 I wasn't being totally serious. But! Since you replied, I'll reply back with my real thoughts.
I don't believe this is a flawed fight because I actually beat this fight on the hardest difficulty and as soon as you can get access to it. Simple answer from simple logic. I only had dual wield, single, & double-blade, attack options and I did it after several tries; I beat it w/ dual wield.
I think we should ask ourselves "What makes the fight flawed?"
If your answer is related somehow to "I'm dying too often", then you probably need to come at the boss with a different approach.
How do you get to this fight? I know how to trigger the regular fight but not this one
It's in Doma's Shop, there is a small frog there.
@@WhiteLocks ya I been to Doma's, unlocked her room and finished the game. Musta missed it, lol. Are u saying that I can just interact with a little frog in her shop???
Thx!
Yeah, there is also a little frog in the cave where you fight first frog, there is a little cool dialogue with it once you beat Spawn of Oggdo.
@@WhiteLocks ok, cool. Thank you for the reply, much appreciated.
I have not fought the 1st one (solo fight) I just know where it is, I'll go do that one first. Thx again!
I cheesed the first one by opening the trap but not falling down and pulling the hammer bros down into the hole from the upper ledge the pair of them wrecked the frog lol
this game is harder than elden ring but still fun tho. Im big Star Wars fan
1 optional boss doesnt make this game harder than elden ring :) you make every other boss in 3 tries
@@adasiekk8118But not this one. This challenge is very very hard.
gucio płakał jak oglądał
I just beat it super easily.
Blaster stance and Crossguard.
Fully upgraded both
Perks;
Fortitude:
increases lightsaber damage but incoming damage is also increased
Marksmanship:
When in blaster stance cals blaster shots do more damage
Purity:
Massive increase in weapon damage for both friends and foes
With this set up I was able to kill one of them with 4 charged shots,
Then kill the other with the last charged shot and two lightsaber throws with the crossguard.
Beat it in like 20 seconds
I tried this like 20+ times on Jedi Master. Got the second one to ~25% health many times, then died. Once I loaded in and there were 2 purge troopers there with the oggdos. Strange. I got wrecked. Just now I loaded in with 3 nekkos. I hopped on one and one-hit killed both of them from atop the nekko and I'm so confused right now! I've seen no mention of this after looking around online. Somebody else has to have encountered this!
what's the reward?
Gucio czekamy na twój poradnik jak pokonać żaby
Worst fight in the game
Their reach is god tier.
Ive never played this game and probably won’t play it ever but this boss looks so difficult, it must have been a pain to beat. I came from penguinz0
This is the worst mini boss challenge I’ve ever had the displeasure of playing so off balance game is glitchy as hell never played anything this bad
How and when do i get that air dash?
Later on in the story
On Jedha, part of the main story.
Killed them both in 4 min 30 secs on my third try, its not hard.
Sure sure on story mode
The worst and stupidest boss desing ever
this is why I feel no shame about playing story mode. shit like this isn't even fun
How tf does this fight and the 2 rancor fight get in the game. It's just terrible and doesn't make fun
I thought the rancor fight would be a lot more challenging than this fight. only took me two attempts for the double rancor but this took me like 30 tries lol
no
Dark souls lolz
Dumbest challenge of the game. Dit it... But dumb as hell.
This was SO ANNOYING.
You did great dude, but tbh this gameplay is putting me to sleep, good thing I skipped on this purchase
You must not be super familiar with games like this on the hardest difficulty. Most of it is just running around, jumping, and dodging until you can get a single hit in, and then back to running, jumping, and dodging.
The gameplay is fire when you’re not fighting these damn frogs which is the hardest boss in the game and you can only get one hit on them before they punish you
@@SanchezBrown13 i am familiar, i just hate that there’s no sense of progression, i like dnd style more ( like elden ring or darksouls ) where the impact of investment is felt.
@@galintorgalintor1580 you can completely feel the impact of investment. Not to mention, the combat here is very much like based on that from Sekiro. ;)
@@galintorgalintor1580 There aren't arbitrary stats to level, but you definitely feel a sense of progression through health/force upgrades and your skill trees. This statement is just goofy lol
outfit 0/10
I feel like the devs didn't code this boss correctly. I recorded a clip of myself dodging a tongue attack and I can actually see the moment where my character model is away from the attack but apparently his hitbox is still where the tongue is going. Meaning you can dodge an attack but still get hit
A lot of the hitboxes are jank and the tracking is ridiculous. Just looking at the Fallen Order version of the boss will show you something is wrong here.
The hitboxes in the game are all kind of weird, and worse of all, inconsistent between players it would seem. Goes double for large bosses like these two and the rancors. I keep getting grabbed when the rancor is in middle of the arena and I am on the edge...
Should focus on the easier green frog first.
