My favorite ones are The Legacy of Goku 2, Buu's Fury, and Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure. Including Dragon Ball GT Transformation. Great job and great video
Legendary Super Warrior on the Gameboy Color is actually great. Play through the entire series in 30 battles, 10 per major arc. It's not like Papsr Mario: Sticker Star at all. You don't lose your cards between matches. It's a deck builder RPG. It's closer to playing Magic with button inputs and positioning elements. Also, I'm pretty sure the AI cheats, making the game really hard at times and it demands you play in ways that can throw off the AI. That said, it's still really good, full of secrets and the story can be played through multiple times to unlock even more characters and transformations permanently and use any unlocked characters for any match in the game. You also get random cards as rewards starting with the second playthrough. The first playthrough always gives specific rewards for every match based on which deck you choose in the beginning. This means that most of the best cards are only found based on random drops from the second playthrough on. That said, totally worth getting some if you enjoy the gameplay. Final Flash, for example, looks amazing. The sprite work is also just top notch for the Gameboy and looks absolutely amazing, better than many later games like the fusions game on the 3DS, in my opinion, where chibi 3D models were used. These are basically chibi pixel art sprites, but it just works way better to my eye
I had the original supersonic warriors on my gameboy back in like 2006! I could never remember the name of the game until now. What a hit of nostalgia. One day I hope I can get my hands on a copy again!!! *edit* I also had the GT transformation game. Totally forgot about that. I remember how badass the opening music was as the game started up. Even though a lot of people hate on GT, this game made it seem way more intense and edgier than the original show when I was a kid. Miss those days!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane! From this list I played Legendary Super Warriors, I was quite young and didn't understand much but I liked seeing my favourite characters on the screen. I also played Supersonic Warriors and I really loved that one. The thing that stood out the most are the 'what if' story lines, I felt a bit bored with playing the OG story again so it was a welcome change of pace! You had routes for each character if I remember correctly. Nothing too fancy, but it was really enjoyable for 10 year old me.
Literally just found my copy of DragonBall Advanced Adventure. It's a great game, though it didn't leave a lasting impression like the Legacy of Goku games or Supersonic Warriors. At least, when I found my copy, I remembered loving the game, but I had totally forgotten about it until I saw it, and I even remembered Taiketsu. Maybe cause it was the least DBZ, since it was only the first DB story. Overall, my list of these handheld games in quality order that I experienced is: DBZ: Legacy of Goku 2, DBZ: Legendary Super Warriors, DBZ: Supersonic Warriors, DB: Advanced Adventure, DBZ: Buu's Fury, DBGT: Transformations, DBZ: Legacy of Goku, DBZ: Taiketsu
Legacy of Goku one and two were my favorites! I played and had Advance Adventure and Buu’s Fury I even forgot about them. Up, down, left, right, B, A, 😢 damn brings back memories to a simpler time
I have played Advanced Adventure, the gameplay is great, the sprites are beautiful, and the soundtrack is pretty impressive, too bad its overshadowed by the LOG trilogy
Shame you've missed out on some of these games. I played all the legacy of goku games and the DB side scroller beat em up. Wonderful games. Shame I didn't get to hear about how with Buus fury they really went all out and made the game just that much more refined. They gave extra content, extra stories like from the movies with Broly and Trunks/Goten. They nailed Buus Fury. Absolutely the best in the series. Edit: Also FUUUUUUCK DB GT TRANSFORMATIONS!!!!! I thought it was a legacy of Goku game but it was the laziest beat em up game I've ever played. I'd rather just stick to playing Final Fight on the SNES. Uuuuuuuugh the GT game was SUCH A DRAAAAAAAAG.
Buus fury only has a US release date as it was an exclusive, no EU or Japanese release. I don't think the GT game is part of legacy of goku series- same developers yes, also avoid it, its terrible not as bad as legacy of goku 1
Dude....how can you say that Legacy of Goku 1 is beloved with a straight face? It's one of the worst DBZ games ever made and is hated by practically everyone. Thankfully, the devs used it as a stepping board to make Legacy of Goku 2 which is my favorite DBZ game ever made.
What it? I've never played the game so I didn't know that the first one wasn't well liked. I always knew that 2 was very highly regarded, so I assumed that the entire series was loved. Guess I was wrong, woops. I gotta do more research next time.
@@tveye363 No sarcasm intended, before legacy of Goku gba games were mostly linear side scrolling titles or Zelda clones they took the semi open world formula for the times and created a short masterpiece that was easy and fun to play you could fly , kamehameha, ki blast , go super Saiyan by the end , enteract with the dbz world like you couldn’t before
I really didn't like how you glossed over one of the most popular DBZ games of all time. Most fans admit that Legacy of Goku 2 is better than Buu's fury, and frankly it's even better than several of the console DBZ games as well. A bit rough around the edges by today's standards, but I was there when that game dropped and I can honestly say that no other DBZ handheld games get the same hype as the Legacy of Goku Trilogy, and personal bias is a bad reason to ignore talking about it, or ANY game when you're making a video about them. Don't be lazy dude.
What is your favorite Dragon Ball handheld game?
It's been a minute, huh...
My favorite ones are The Legacy of Goku 2, Buu's Fury, and Dragon Ball Advanced Adventure. Including Dragon Ball GT Transformation. Great job and great video
Either mega men battle network or fire emblem
I always go back and forth between Legendary Super Warriors and Legacy of Goku 2
Dragonball advanced adventure gba and dragonball origins 2 Nintendo ds
as a card game fan i loved the collectable card game, so unique
Legendary Super Warrior on the Gameboy Color is actually great.

Legenday Super Warrior is the bomb. If you use your TCG brain, the game is fantastic.
Legacy of Goku one and two were my favorites! I played and had Advance Adventure and Buu’s Fury I even forgot about them. Up, down, left, right, B, A, 😢 damn brings back memories to a simpler time
Can confirm; Taiketsu was NOT bearable lol.
I grew up with gt transformations honestly its alot of fun story is pretty good and you can play as golden ape best part of game honestly
Glad someone enjoyed that game. It was such a snooooooozefest.
@@Mugdoggo honestly it probably just cause i like 100%ing anime games lol

A lot of weird, but fascinating GBA games. Including one by Arc System. Funny, weird, but neat!

Since when is Legacy of Goku 1 beloved? 2 and Buu's Fury yes. But I thought the first one was universally hated.
You would be surprised. Many people grew up with that game!!
@vegetashairline3060 yeah I know. I grew up with it. And even as a kid I thought it was bad. Especially after the second one came out.
The guy in the white shirt is pretty cool, but the guy in the multi colored shirt is so annoying.
Can you tell me what game in the thumbnail?? Shenlong
Dragon Ball Z: Goku Hishouden for the original Game Boy
One hundredth like
Was extreme butoden not on the gba?
That's on 3DS.
"we have scott the woz at home"
