Broke down on the lake… pulled the boat in 3 ft of water about a mile. Took it home. Watched this video after doing a annual service on the motor, started it up, nothing. Topped off the tank, and it started right up…. All it needed was a full tank. On the lake I was probably at a 1/3… lots of help!
What is the range on a tank? Time/miles. Also I'm gonna be carrying my boat to the river ( no ramps) probably boat motor separate and it will be sand with brush in places should I get a long tail or a twister?
I'm having a problem with my 15 ft johnboat with a predator 420 with a twister xl and I'm only going 8 mph and it keeps jumping up and down when I'm about half throttle.... they gave me a 7.5 inch prop and it's suppose to come with a 9.5 inch prop. Do you this is the problem or what??
I just completed assembly of Mudskipper Twister. All went well and seems put togetherproperly however I'm sure I have throttle linkage connected right there is a long spring left over seems like it should be attached somehow.Engine starts right up cold then quits when warmed up - in a minute or 2Any advise?
I got myself a mudskipper Prime kit 5 to 7 horsepower excellent kit excellent price very durable but if you go with mudskipper you must get a prime kit. There is also a company called SPS and another company called Beaver Dam honest opinion I like all three they are great companies
You are only getting enough gas for it to idle. Pull the carb bowl off, the tube that screws into has a hole on the side close to the bottom for gas, make sure it is open. Next take a real fine wire and go from the bottom of the tube up through that and make sure the jet is not plugged. It needs to be real small diameter wire.
@@rogercook1737 That sounds viable I will look into it.. The engine runs at wide open throttle in the air (no load) which draws more fuel than idle but it doesn't stall in a no load full throttle circumstance... Does that change your diagnosis at all?
Hey i jus bought me a predator 212 and I'm getting ready to build a long tail but I wanted to ask u is it normal for the throttle on the engine to be stiff from moving side to side
i have a mud-skipper 8-16hp with the duromax 16hp i have problems keeping it running at full throttle on a full tank i put a little more oil in it and noticed a little better sound when it's running but it still cuts out could it be the governor bogging it down should i bypass the governor and would this require me to upgrade the springs and valves i also plan on removing the oil sensor

I have the 7hp Twister... I just put it on the water for the first time and it stalls out whenever I do anything other than Idle.... Any ideas?

+Texas Made there is a small nut on the pivot of the throttle, loosen that a little bit and it will spring back
Is the twister as fast as your long tail ?

+okie mudbug I've never removed the governor so idk how to but when you hear it start to die open the gas cap and see if that helps
better fix get a honda motor...
It's a Honda GX200 clone Mud-skipper 7hp engines are exactly the same thing probably not built with the quality and tolerances of Honda but close
