Perfect timing, just ordered a ser6 max ryzen9 16/500 model since it was on sale for $380. Was doubting myself for not spending 100 more for the 24/1tb model. Feeling much better about my purchase now.

FYI - AMD APU VRAM should be left at AUTO unless you know why you would want less allocated. AUTO will dynamically allocate, as needed, up to half of system RAM as VRAM.

Thanks for the video and showing where we could allocate more RAM towards GPU!

More ram for running more apps open, more app instances open, more files open, large files such as in video/graphics editing loaded, large live databases loaded, multiple vm's running etc. performance bottleneck will occur in those cases. Games only affected by too little ram. Ram speed not an issue today for gaming.

I think the only good thing really about upgrading ram, would be the ability to run more tasks in the background or on other monitors

Im using beelink ryzen 5 5500U with 16gb and it plays games ok, im playing Vaheim now and it runs ok, I was looking at getting the 32gb but when i look at what the usage is now im at CPU 40% and Ram is 50s %, So I could use the upgrade but im in canada so that upgrade will cost me $100, So I decided against the upgrade since it won't make a noticable difference,

I have a Ryzen 7 5700U Beelink mini pc running on two 24" curved monitors. I am having issues with the system freezing for about 30sec to a minute because of having multiple tabs open at once. It mainly happens in EDGE, but don't really use CHROME much. I went from 16gb to 32gb and still had the same problem. I allocated 8gb to the vram and it still happens. Should I allocate 16gb or just leave it in auto mode? I am not worried about gaming. I just use it for work with maybe 30 tabs open in Windows 11.

I had this problem too. Found this video and implemented the changes as explained and have had no issues since... ! ruclips.net/video/yRzcGcoHL9U/видео.html

I have the beelink ser4 and just bought 32gb of ram to replace the 16 already inside. How in God's name do you take them out of the slot? They just don't "pop out" as shown here. I'm at a point where I think they'll break if I keep forcing it. Is there some kind of latch or do you just force it out? I've tried pressing down thinking it will pop up for easy removal as I've seen people insert it at an angle and press down but mine does not do that.

Nice video! By the way do you think it is worth it to add $45 more to go from a beelink ser7 to a gtr7? they both have a 7840hs

Its been a while since Ive seen someone that actually understands and showcases RAM and the benefits of having more. I 100% agree that for gaming, especially on Vega or RDNA2, the iGPU probably doesnt have enough oompf to justify futureproofing with 32gb. It gets you some benefits like textures, but at that point youre better off saving up for a new system.
Cant wait to see LNL and Strix point drop in price when the gen after that comes rolling around. Itll be a field day for mini pcs!

I simply can't use PC with 16GB RAM because it starts doing a lot swapping and a performance drops significantly. But for gaming? I do not know.

I don't know why nobody does a comparison video of mini pcs but rather they only review one.
I would love to see a comparison every time and would love to see the most powerful mini PC in the lowest budget with a decent GPU.

32gb is worth it, 4gb or 8gb should be allocated for the vram depending on the games your mini is capable of. Mine was set at 8gb but i noticed my games never reached 3gb so i changed it to 4gb.
    Don't allocate 16 its a waste of ram 😑
