      I'd forgotten the waiting for him part. I remember Camby was going to hit Ferry from behind and little Jeff van Gundy got in his way and stopped him. I don't remember if that was the same game or a different game.

      If he'd've been a hockey player, they'd've called him a "goon" -- the player who might not have been the best scorer or defenseman on the team but was good at starting fights with the best player on the other team that got them injured to the point where they couldn't play the rest of the game or troll them into being the one to start the fight which took them off the ice by either sending them to the penalty box or got them ejected from the game entirely. And, if the goon also got benched or ejected for their involvement in the fight, it was no big loss for their team, because they served their strategical and tactical purpose

Golden generation. I have quite good memories of the late 90's early 00's too. Tracy Mac, Iverson, Tim Duncan, Vince Carter, Nowitzki. The NBA is still awesome but the league should work on the referring. It's been worse over the years.

      You don’t need to flop as much when you have the friendliest whistle in nba history. Even then he still had the audacity to complain to refs.
      Jordan has 8.2 FTA per game as a shooting guard, that’s ridiculous.
      Do you seriously think in his 15 years in the nba that he’s never tried to sell a foul?

    • @vinzmata5588
      @vinzmata5588 10 месяцев назад +1

      @QuadLamb my friend you should know the difference between fishing a foul to get to the free throw line. Stars like Harden, Curry ,Kd, Tree Young and etc do that because it adds points on the board and that's not flopping or selling because it actually is a foul. When a 6'8 250 pounds of muscle in the person of LBJ gets knocked out by a finger now that's flopping. I hope my analogy is clear for you.

    Jordan got fouled excessively hard by many teams before the Bulls championships started regularly happening. But after they started winning rings, he got all the calls. And while playing defense as a league leading "on the ball" defender, he rarely got defensive fouls called on him. He didn't need the refs help to dominate. But with their help, he was untouchable on both sides of the ball. For such a dominant on the ball defender, I don't remember him fouling out much, or ever.

    I remember watching the Bulls play back in the 90s. Not only did they physically dominate the court, they had the ability to get into their opponent's head. The Worm took it to another level when he came on-board. If you go back and watch some of the games with Rodman, he would make it his mission to mess with one player the whole night.

    It was a great series. Even though we lost, we atleast lost to the best. And don't think for a second that the Bulls played a totally clean game. The league was very rough in those days. And MJ was the best ever.... at getting 5 steps with no call. And that did help him with the fake drive/pull up shot. Don't get me wrong, he was the best ever and beat us with a sit down shot in the end. But we made them work for it, and our team was not a team of super stars. But they together shined like one Brite comet. And it was alot of fun watching the bulls struggle a little.

    John Paxton was the man at the 3 point line for the 1st 3 bulls back to back championships. But, after Jordan retired that 1st time, Paxton retired also and became a Bulls game announcer. So, when Jordan made his return to basketball after playing baseball for awhile, Kerr joined the Bulls and became their spot up sharpshooter, taking Paxton's spot which led to another 3 peat for the Bulls.
