I've been using these mics as my primary wedding mics for years with ZERO dropouts. I'm so glad Cleveland Terry made a video years ago highly praising these mics. That's what made me give them a try. After my first time using them on a wedding with stellar results, I was completely sold. They have never let me down no matter what all the gear snobs have to say.

I kinda hate, that people are catching on to my secret sauce. I had 8 Shure ULX mic in the early 2000's (approx $8k), then the FCC sold off the 700Mhz, so I replaced them all with EV RE2's in the 600MHz band (12 Mics approx $6k), then the FCC sold the 600MHz, so I replace all 12 with Phoenix Pro's for about $1100, (Two 7000 quad receivers, and 2 7A receivers), Going on 3 years now, and super impressed.

I’m so glad you made this video Phenyx Pro deserves to be on top!
Recently I was shopping for new mics and ran across the Phenyx brand, It was at a venue during ceremony. The receiver was upstairs in a closet about 50 feet away from the officiant and he sounded great! I was impressed!
I Looked up the price and I couldn’t believe it and was very skeptical! Either way I bought the PTU 2U and I’m extremely happy with the product.
The question is not why are they cheap but why are we always getting robbed by the big name brands. They inflate the price even though in reality it’s worth less, obviously we’re just paying for the brand. Either way thanks for this video and you will see the product is amazing!

I have the ptu 2u and I'm a huge fan. Nice bright sound, good hot signal, and strong signal. The only caveat is that it has noticeable handling noise. If you scan for a signal at a new venue while everybody is there, you will never had feedback. The few times I had feedback I was lazy and didn't rescan after people came. That being said my Sennheiser G4 didn't have any dropouts even if I didn't rescan, so it is still a bit more reliable. But for the price, there is nothing better than the PTU 2u set up. Sennheiser g4 set up is triple the price for just one mic. With phenyx pro you get two true diversity mic for $300+. Phenomenal.

Dope vid man. So I started like most of us do with the Shure SM58 as a hand held and as I wanted to venture out to a wireless system I was going to grab Shure's PGX system, but I was hesitant because I wanted both a hand held and lavalier to utilize and having to buy two separate systems was pricey for me at the time. So I went to checking out everybody's mic reviews and gig logs looking for a solution and Dj 2Legit was pumping the PTU-71. So after researching it for a while I felt convinced enough to grab one with a cordless mic and lavalier and it just does not disappoint. I think I paid no more than $150 for the set and the shit just works! Are there others out there with better performance? I'm sure there is, but if your talking getting the most bang for the buck particularly if your on a budget.... Phyenx is hard to beat.

I used Phenyx last year with mixed results. Obviously wireless conditions vary by area and venue and scanning is a must before all events. I found the handheld and lapel sets to be hit or miss. Sometimes it was crystal clear and other times I had drop outs and/or static, even within 15 - 30 feet line of sight. I could not find myself able to rely on them for the most important moments like ceremony and toasts. I ended up going with 2 sennheiser ew g4 systems - a lapel system and a handheld system. The sennheiser systems have been rock solid for every wedding (30+) this year. Just my experience.

You can use the line out and put a guitar cable in it and then run the other side of the cable to a sound mixer and controller and BOTH micd will work on just 1 channel with NO XLR Connections. Great vid Aaron. If someone does a mic drop with these mics won't need to remortgage your home to purchase new ones.

I have that new PTAU-2 and it's the real deal and I paid around $280 for it when it first came out 6 months ago LOL such a deal. It's now my main mic for weddings, just don't let a fat guy LOL wrap both hands around the bottom antenna with his back to you other than that it's good to go but not perfect, you'll see. I do about 170 weddings a year so I've really tested this thing. I even have two Shure QLDX systems and I use this over those. The QLDX does have better distance but at weddings I don't need that distance. The PTU-71 "dual" will get you in trouble cuz it's not a true diversity system and you WILL get drop out hard environments. I did ordered those rechargeable batteries too as I normally get the Costco 48 pack for $18 but hey. As a company they just haven't proven themselves and I don't see them making much effort in trying to expand their business reach beyond a mobile/temporary sound reinforcement type of use. Like c'mon...their company name is amateur sounding ..."Phenyx" but pronounced Phoenix? Why not just call your company Phoenix and call it a day.. The spelling doesn't make it edgy or cool. It's just unnecessarily confusing and stupid. Sounds like a Chinese company name that can't spell properly
