Giving it to his son is no difference from them recasting him thru multiverse it gone be a new actor and won't be Chadwick the multiverse tchalla more then likely gone have a different back story so I don't see why not give it to his son
Just go the King of the Dead route and say the MCU universe Tchalla wasn't dead but in BAST realm evolving. He comes back to the real world for BP 3 and Secret Wars. Remember in Wakanda Forever. Shuri didn't see him in the afterlife. They could run with that
@cerromeceo they are confused might be a casual fan 😅 But I agree king of the dead T'challa is a smart route to go but we know mcu won't do this and will use the stupid multiverse
Kevin Feige and the executive hierarchy at Disney Marvel need to understand we need Marvels "First Black Hero" back in the MCU. It is time for all concerned at Disney Marvel to be courageous and find the "Heroism" within themselves to, recast the character T'challa. Personally I'd like to see the new Black Panther in Dr. Strange 3. T'challa and Dr. Strange have great chemistry working together with Marvel Comics and, it would not feel contrived if they have met during Stephen's and Cleo's mission adventures throughout the Multiverse.
I like that idea but what if we add another T'Chala, one who is older and played by Denzel and say he is from the Illuminati universe and he was the one representing the empty chair. They could say he didn't condone them killing Steven Strange and he quit.
@@notmephisto1375 In Marvel Comics T'challa was NOT a member of the Illuminati. T'challa was asked to join when the Illuminati was being formed but he states, that as the King of Wakanda his duty is to the people of Wakanda. T'challa does though reform the disbanded Illuminati in the Time Runs Out, Secret Wars comic book run by Jonathan Hickman due to, the first Incursion happening over a part of Wakanda. That said, the MCU will do as they please regardless so, no idea should be dismissed.
When I heard them talking about multiverse stuff i immediately thought that this would be the best way to honor Chadwick and also have t’challa in the mcu, have Chadwick’s version rest in peice but bring in a new black panther form a different universe
While speaking to Variety for a cover story published in January 2025, Sterling K. Brown urged Kevin Feige to "please have [him] back," noting that he would love the MCU to be more like Law & Order, "after a certain number of years, you gotta reset, you get to come back." If Marvel is to grant the Academy Award-nominee his wish, there are several ways that Sterling K. Brown could be brought back to the MCU. Perhaps most notably, flashbacks or retrospective projects could explore Wakanda's history, possibly better developing the brotherhood of T'Chaka and N'Jobu.
Everyone wants a recast T'Challa, the thing is that role is sacred in "the community" so top black actors are not going to be so quick to take that role out of respect for Chadwick. Real talk.
That time has passed. If anything, it should slightly be more competitive right now. Whoever get’s the role, has pretty big shoes to fill, but an honorable one as well. The MCU needs T’Challa as black panther, and hopefully we hear some more news soon about who will take up the role.
I'm in the community and it's not sacred. I can understand to an extent not recasting right away but it's time. We love Chadwick but the character of tchallla is bigger than him. And the role shouldn't pass with him
The whole argument to recast T'Chala is overblown. Obviously everyone wants the character back, but the argument is if it should have happened immediately in BPII. I will always say no. Wakanda Forever was the crown jewel of Phase IV, a phase built up around grief and loss. Me personally, I would not have been comfortable seeing a movie that just ignores how significant a loss Chadwick Boseman was to the whole world. Now as we approach the end of this entire Multiverse saga, for better or worse, yes you bring in a new T'Chala from another universe or his son from a future dark timeline would be best.
I just thought of something if they do the variant rumor for it, a variant recast comes in... It would be weird if they talk to previous MCU T'Challa or Killmonger, Killmonger be like "Who are you, another in my throne?" I was one for not recasting T'Challa despite wanting his character to continue, but the more I think about the rumors the more questions arise.
There is no good reason to have NOT recast when Boseman passed away. This is a comic book character, a character that for all intents and purposes is ETERNAL. Characters never age ( unless it’s past of the story) But generally they are the age that they are. Coogler should have been fired for his inability to make Black Panther films ( specifically with the character T’Challa). Notice this talk of recast did not begin until Nate ( my friend died) Moore left Marvel. Hey, I get it, your friend died, they should have been given leave until they are able to return to work and do their damn job, which is tell Black Panther stories with T’Challa. Would James Bond franchise end because Daniel Craig died? Nope, because the James Bond franchise understands the character is ETERNALLY whatever age he is the story, when Craig “aged” out of the role, he was done. I just don’t get it. Not initially handling this like any other movie studio was STUPID. How many actors have played Superman????? How many actors have played Batman?????? The character is Eternal, just like Romeo and Juliet. And Coogler can only make trauma movies anyway. I preferred the Russo’s portrayal of T’Challa far more than Coogler. IMHO their depiction was more comic accurate and I enjoyed that version far more than Coogler. And, I don’t believe that King T’Challa would have a child out of wedlock, but that fits Cooglers’ narrative.
use a multiverse T'challa who has lost his son in his universe. Meets the MCU T'Challa Jr, gets attached to him bcz he misses his late son and decides to stay in the MCU and help raise this T'Challa jr.. Just a What If... LOL!!!
What the difference between them recasting tchalla and them passing it to his son it gone be a new actor regardless not gone be Chadwick so it would be a new take on his regardles it not gone be the same one
Need more African heroes its time for a Speedster, T'Challa needs to be ressurected yet blame Kevin and Moore, no multiverse introduce bast again giving life to T'Challa.
Yeah it's about time T'Challa finally returns to the MCU with a recast actor. Preferably a Multiverse T'Challa and not his son!
Giving it to his son is no difference from them recasting him thru multiverse it gone be a new actor and won't be Chadwick the multiverse tchalla more then likely gone have a different back story so I don't see why not give it to his son
I prefer it's his son but from an alternate dark timeline. Have him come into Secret Wars like Future Trunks did in DBZ.
Just go the King of the Dead route and say the MCU universe Tchalla wasn't dead but in BAST realm evolving. He comes back to the real world for BP 3 and Secret Wars. Remember in Wakanda Forever. Shuri didn't see him in the afterlife. They could run with that
eh lets just let bro rest and not bring him back via AI and CGI. Recast is the best call.
@Spiduh-Mane Did you not read my comment. I said nothing about bringing Chadwick back 😅
@ seemed implied by your original comment bubba. But hey, glad u clarified 🥴
@cerromeceo
they are confused might be a casual fan 😅

Well that certainly is a key aspect but also time plays a factor too because sooner or later someone has to fill those shoes.

And Chadwicks family is ok with it. And he wouldn't want the role to pass with him. He'd want another Black actor to smash the role like he did.
It will be interesting on what Marvel needs to do regarding Tchalla,
It's Pantherin' time!
To be honest recasting him seems like a good choice
Yeah I hope after secret wars they recast him why not have multiple black panthers at once like on the comics
Arguing for both sides is dumb.

So the regular Wakanda family adopt him
@CamCamGeez10 Wakanda is a geographical location, what do you mean regular Wakanda family?
@brentwebster6341 from the regular time line 😂 & have 2 black Panthers
What the difference between them recasting tchalla and them passing it to his son it gone be a new actor regardless not gone be Chadwick so it would be a new take on his regardles it not gone be the same one
YES!
Do not age up the son .. WE don’t want that
Need more African heroes its time for a Speedster, T'Challa needs to be ressurected yet blame Kevin and Moore, no multiverse introduce bast again giving life to T'Challa.
oh here we go again..
instantly annoyed at this bs
Pass the mantle to his son! Best decision. We have a new black panther and no one replaces Chadwick. Stop the bs
Wakanda Forever did have a beautiful ending. Great movie especially all it had to deal with.
