I visited Tampa in 2019, with my family but having booked a hotel in Orlando. Beautiful city and was such an experience driving along Howard Frankland bridge to St Pieterburg, I wish i was with guys to show me around this amazing city.

After seeing your preference of food, I have an aching urge to cook for you!!! It's evident you haven't experienced a Coloured Sunday lunch (not seven colors) or any of our dishes😅 you'd be pleasantly surprised at Cape Malay food culture and similarities ❤

What is a typical coloured Sunday kos? Does it differ city to city (for e.g. Jozi and Cape Town?) do you guys also cook seven colours though?

@@Ultra_Magicc hi!!! I'm gonna say yes, it differs merely because of cultural differences. My grandmother on my mom's side was from Jozi and her style of cooking always accompanied pap. Her parents were isizulu(dad) and coloured(mom). And she loved her stews. My grandparents from my dad's side, who were forcefully removed from District 6 are of Cape Malay descent. So, literally born in the kitchen. The food we are accustomed to suit the seasons, bredies and puddings in winter, and Soup whenever there's a Grey cloud in the sky 🤣, spring/summer time... salads and finger food (samoosa, daltjies, mini pizzas, half moons and the only time we eat pap is at breakfast (porridge) and the texture is exactly the way The Joneses are accustomed to. 😊Baking is also traditional... Case en Pointe... The Hertzoggie/Twee gevrietjie 😂 (a Coloured story for another day😅). A traditional Sunday lunch is seven colours of some sort, roast chicken, fragrant yellow rice, Roast potatoes, squash filled with butter, corn, honey and cheese. We don't typically do seven colours... 4 colours is enough for the plate 😂 Akni and Biryani (similar to Jollof) are our staple foods that we eat whenever we want. To those we add a atchar or beetroot or a sambal. Indian people and coloured people in Cape Town lived side by side so the food and spices are similar but with a twist because we love the warm fuzzy spices like cardamom, nutmeg, star aniseed, cinnamon etc.
I'd definitely say there's a food culinary difference of the two cities.😊🎈 Restaurants excluded.

So many black people in the Southern States. That's where I wanna visit for a longer time if I go to the US. Honestly, I can tell why Americans aren't too culture shocked about SA, I some of the things I see here reminds me of SA
