Ricky its true, you havnt even scratched the surface. Think about it. You currently live in the smallest province (state) in the country with all of Joburg and all over Pretoria and surrounding areas. That is the smallest province. Provinces like the Western Cape, Northern Cape, KZN and Eastern Cape are bigger than countries. The Eastern Cape alone is as big as England the country which is actually ridiculous if you think about it. There are hundreds of towns and many more cities to explore. The good thing about SA is the road network infrastructure is connected throughout and boasts the 8th largest road network in the world so you can drive anywere on a perfect national road(Thanks SANRAL).

"Madiba" is a term of endearment and respect used to refer to Nelson Mandela, particularly among the Xhosa people of South Africa. It comes from his clan name, which is "Madiba." In South African culture, it's common to use someone's clan name as a sign of respect and affection. So, when people refer to Nelson Mandela as "Madiba," they are acknowledging his Xhosa heritage and showing reverence for him.

Food is a bit extreme in the States, it ranges from incredibly sweet to incredibly salty. America does have a lot of amazing and delicious food, but it’s incredibly expensive. There’s a premium to pay if you want high quality food over there.

This is actually one of the most underrated questions you will ever get. Brilliant question.
Answer: Nelson Mandela is a descendant of the Thembu Tribe (The polygamists), an intermediary Tribe with both Zulu and Xhosa lineage and linkages. The cultural identity and practices of the Thembu are appropriated from both Xhosa and Zulu cultures yet their history which is often described in their clan names shows strong historical ties with the Zulu tribe. The Xhosa and by extension the Thembu people have strong historical ties largely as a result of intermarriages with the Khoi and San people. (Abathwa) in Xhosa. Some of the features of that interaction find expression in language, physical( phenotypic ) features and cultural practices. Nelson Mandela for example exhibited eye features that strongly resemble those of Khoisan descent and to show what a strong feature it is, those small eye features are also found in his kids, grand kids and great grand kids. So the short answer to your question is that it's highly likely that there is some Khoisan blood in his veins because Nguni men found Khoi and San women extremely beautiful with their small eyes, small waist and enlarged buttocks. The Khoi and San also had light complexions compared to the Nguni tribes and all those features were exported to the Nguni tribes over generations. These features are now common for most South African women irrespective of tribe but especially coloured, Xhosa, Thembu, Zulu and Sotho women.

@@luthovellem865Wow! Thanks for the short lesson in Thembu ancestral history. I am Zulu, and I didn't know about the relationship between the Zulus and the Thembus. The Xhosa speaking group is very interesting, it has many distinct groups, some of which moved from the current day KZN during the Shaka era.

Nelson Mandela once took a DNA test himself, this was televised. most ethnic groups in South Africa has the same Khoisan DNA. This is proof that one is connected to the land. First nation peoples. I did my DNA too, I also have Khoisan DNA
