Omg this is so true. Barely escaped a few episodes of getting trashed with local dirtbags. Of course that was decades ago. Lessons learned.

As a long term traveler, I always enjoy Pavlins vdos... Always some good tips and a good reminder no matter how experienced you may be (I been traveling half my life... 15 years !)! And that's true... Gotta be careful who you drink with !
I once got invited by an Armenian truck driver for dinner (I was hitchhiking at the time) and we ended up drinking toooo much of course and he wanted me to visit Karabah region (which was already forbidden back in 2014). So he drove me to a hotel and left... Forgot my bag inside his truck with all my papers and money. Called the cops and went mad as I thought he drove to Karabah. When the police came to look for hi truck, they found him fast drunk asleep in his truck next to my hotel ! 😅😅😅😅

👍👍👍👍 Definitely all about attitude, travel is not about lap times or finding the perfect bit of winding road but what is either side of the road or at the end of it, otherwise just go to a racetrack and ride around all day. 😂😂😂😂

All great points … when I first went to italia, back in the 80’s I was told by a couple of Italian people that it was paramount to learn “thank you”, “hello”, “please” and the phrase “how do you say this in (what ever countries language you are visiting)?” …

As you say: A plan is there to help. You can change it any time. But no plan is definitely not the road to "freedom". Skills: People do concentrate on hardware and not on "software". Instead of buying an expensive bike we could as well invest into learning a new language ;-) Thanks for your advice, Pavlin. Günter/Nürnberg

Hehe, actually drinking with the locals was one of my best memories from trip to Albania few years ago :D Sure, we had hangover next day, but we managed to spend one day off motorcycles, and just relax on the beach :) But of course we didn't drink too much and I was with my friends. I think bigger party with more than 2-3 locals could lead to some troubles .

Great advice :) One question: When planing a route through remote and foreign areas, how do you find out if its a safe space or what's the best route through that section? Do you use like GPS paths from others that have recommended it or what's the best approach? A video about this aspect from someone like who's gone to some of the most remote areas would be awesome!

A lot of YT adventure riders film Iceland. Despite one eruption ground half the planet, éruptions are actually an attraction. There are a variety of documented routes and the Icelandic aren't known for libation. In this case, becoming a statistic would be relatively safe - I guess.

On the subject of alcohol, I have the one drink rule, more than one and I walk. Concentration on a bike is much greater than with a car because the consequences of a crash are likely more serious. Driving a car my limit is two and this rule has served me well over my 72.

My own personal limit is zero alcohol when riding the bike and only 1 drink when driving although these days with more police surveillance it is normally zero alcohol. Factor in when abroad that their alcohol limits when driving may be less than in England, e.g., even Scotland is less than England.

Pawlin very wise man. After being in and riding on mass many years with motorcycle patch club can say the bit about what you see another rider doing in the distance is not what he is seeing. It may look dangerous to you but you are seeing it from a different perspective. Also if a riding tip is welcome. Allways have more cash than you need in more than one place and tent sleeping bag and roll mat strapped to bike on even a weekend trip. You never know when that never forget good time will happen and means forgetting plans and climbing into a tent and sleeping bag . Ride safe.

    Hello Pavlin!
How you calculate that on a motorcycle trip how much money should have ? Can you explain us in a short video ? (money/day for food, money/day for accommodation and so one, in of course on average calculation). For example how do you calculate the cost of a Spain trip before you started ? Thank you, and the videos are awesome, keep continue!

It is different for every one. I use to travel with 50 euros per day around Europe, but nowadays you will need 100 as a minimum. Watch this video: ruclips.net/video/uPJZY7wH3fg/видео.html
