It was fun to see him. I sort of recognized his groundies. I used to tape a lot of matches in the early 00s. Back when the Spanish guys really struggled on the grass!
hey Cam :)) great content! Got the opportunity to be a hitting partner at the ATP 250 event in Gstaad the last 2 years. Never been asked to hit with a coach. But can totally relate to everything else you said, very well documented! Keep up the good work
Hey!! Thanks so much. Ahhh that must have been so cool. Yes it’s an experience that is hard to imagine unless you’ve experienced it yourself. Who were you able to hit with?
Hahaha! It was at first but once you get hitting you kind of get into a flow with it. I find while you’re playing you just having imagine it’s just like anyone else.
It was such a cool opportunity. So grateful. I don’t think there is a specific utr requirement to be a hitting partner for this event. I know of some 9/10 utrs who have been hitting partners for this event and even atp events before. But the players and coaches aren’t afraid to ask for someone else or decide to not hit with you half way through the practice if they feel you aren’t up to the level. Luckily this hasn’t happened to me so far haha 😃
He barely acknowledged you when you first met, which was followed by the briefest of hand slaps at the end. So much for Mr Nice Guy. Great vid though, Cam
There are other videos of Andrey interacting with hitting partners and he always talks to them. You don't know how he was feeling that day; he could've just been focused because his last matches hadn't been going too well or preoccupied with something else on his mind, or whatever. Saying hi and shaking someone's hand briefly doesn't mean he's not a nice guy.
Pretty amazing experience. You dont seem humble enough though for my liking which made it hard for me to enjoy. I know modern British people are no longer polite as you once were but you got to play with a top 10 player! Also Id suggest calling him Andriy Rublev or Mr Rublev NOT Rublev It is disrespectful in most cultures, especially slavic one. Check out other youtubers who get to play with pros. Russians like Grisha come to mind THEY speak in a VERY different manner. ....you ended on a good note. you were more complimentary in your closing :) Sorry if i came across as too coarse
This is such a cool video as a Rublev fan. You did great!
His coach is Fernando Vicente who reached a career high of ATP #29 in singles.
You can tell he was a very good player. Really nice to talk to as well.
It was fun to see him. I sort of recognized his groundies. I used to tape a lot of matches in the early 00s. Back when the Spanish guys really struggled on the grass!
Definitely interesting to see he seemingly put 0 effort into hitting but has such good weight transfer he delivers a heavy ball despite that.
I'm a huge Andrey fan, so wow, what a cool opportunity!
❤ Andrey.
quite insightful thank you for sharing!
That’s awesome you got to hit with these monsters, and your rallies were looking really good, you looked like you really belonged out there brotha!
Awesome video! Hope to see more content like this in the future
Never heard of the boodles before. The settings look very cool, especially with big trees in the background!
Ur commentary is very good
What an incredible experience !
It was so so cool.
Love that you got this amazing opportunity! His ball striking is elite I hope he gets back to the level he was once at soon
It was such a cool opportunity!! Ball striking is incredible.
Love it Cam! Happy you got such an awesome experience 🎾
It was amazing.
I'm a big fan Cam, keep up with the fire vids!
Thank you so much. I really appreciate this :)
Well done mate
That lad has a nice forehand
Cool video! And crazy to think you have to try out to even see if you’re just good enough to be the warm up fodder for someone like Rublev 😆 amazing
Loved the video you did with Dylan!
That was so much fun. Will be uploading my perspective of our session on my channel soon so keep an eye out for that 🔥

BWEH! Awesome stuff Cam
Thanks Kyle 😃
What an awesome experience that must of been, probably more nervous doing that then you are playing a normal match.
Hahaha! It was at first but once you get hitting you kind of get into a flow with it. I find while you’re playing you just having imagine it’s just like anyone else.
must have
#Cameron is the GOAT of tennis RUclips
Lol thank you 😂
Must have been quite nervous 😮
I feel like rublev has the most violent and highest intensity forehand on the tour atm? Can someone let me know like if they know of someone else?
I feel like I play in slow motion after watching this.
I’d be shitting myself
rublev cn't be easy to hit with in practice, he hits everything so hard.
How many racquets did he brake? He is a nervous wreck usually even during practice
That coach has some nice strokes tbh lol
Former top 29 ATP Fernando Vicente
i think i will never play on the grass courts in my life time
omgggggggggggggggggggg
nice oppurtunity but didn't know 10 utr could be hitting partner
It was such a cool opportunity. So grateful.

Sorry if i came across as too coarse
To be a realistic match preparation I don't think there's any need for Rublev to practice vollies
That’s the dumbest take ever. If anything he should do it more bc it’s about time for him to become comfortable
Bro you are doing too much with editing
Wasting too much time and effort
Cameron......why would he want to practice with you papi ?💩💩💩💩
