For anyone else facing mild confusion: you have to wait 21 hours after gunsmith 5 to get gunsmith 6

Just wanna say thank you for all these updated guides!
Quick tip for anyone having trouble with the builds. Make sure you're using the GEN M3 30 round mag not the GEN M3 20 round mag.

First build worked for me, thanks bro.
For future reference, if you do the MPX barter for the Fortis shift grip, you can use the optic that comes on the MPX (Bravo 4) so you dont have to buy the romeo.
lmao no just spend 18k for romeo and keep the 4x with red dot for use on another gun in raid
Was frustrated because I built to your spec and it still wouldn't work... Then noticed I built an AKMN, not an AKM. Only Mechanic knows..... Worked like a charm! Thanks @Gigabeef!

If the charging handle is sold out you can use a polymer stock for a little bit more ergo

I was stuck at 32 ergo after the first build so i just replaced the stock with the Hexagon "Kocherga" stock and was able to turn it in
I hate these quests. Love the idea of them, but I hate how every. single. time. I have to buy all the parts. No matter how closely I follow anyone's instructions, I still don't get that damn check mark.

PP grip is prapor level 2 though.
i waited the 21 hours for gunsmith 6..... i built the first version of the AKM to exact specs.......... he will not accept it.

Ive tried multiple builds i have the shift grip and the 30 rd magpul mag and all the stats meet it its repaired and i cant turn it in. Is my game just messed up?
Followed the first build but mechanic didn't accept it, then realized I accidentally selected the 20round magpul mag instead of the 30 round one. They look kinda similar so be careful
Mine is the same way, I did the build exactly how you did, same weapons, exact same parts but he will not accept it? Any guesses solutions? I also noticed that the golden check mark in the bottom right corner of the weapon does not show unless the weapon (and all of its parts + attachments) are found in raid aswell?
FIGURED IT OUT THE DURABILITY OF THE WEAPON HAS TO BE HIGH NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED!!! THX
I made the first build and my ergo is only 37.5 what have i missed?
Ok this is strange, when i build it as a preset its 40.5 when i actually make the gun its 37.5
Edit3: my bad, had the wrong handguard, i used the aggressor rather than the dominator

Tried to do first build with banana mag and didn't work, had to find the black mag on the flea and buy that and then it worked.
You have to repair the gun!!
the quest should specify this is the black magpul mag. the yellow banana should work if they dont specify the black version

have bought 3 AKms and found another 4 in raid. all built to your specifications and it doesnt work

You just need 800 sighting range
Use the Saw pistol grip and you can keep the base akm stock
The point was to not use lvl2 mechanic.
Which, to be fair, is kinda pointless since flea is a thing.

hello i don t the mechanic lvl2 so I did the second build and i have everything the same like you and I can t finish the quest
I was having trouble until I looked at the grip, make sure you have the right grip for the gun
Don't buy the banana variant of the mag, it won't work even though they're identical in stats. Thanks BSG lmao
I do both builds I can’t hand it in why ? I spent like 200k trynna get both builds

I really feel like everyone's making items expensive becuse there are youtube videos like these that show what you need, is there any other alternative or better or cheaper ways to meet the requirements? Mostly without the fucking fortis shift fore-grip
Nvm you absolute need the fortis grip, they really shouldnt make these tasks require absolute items.
