  • REPORTERS - In the Libyan desert, these anti-Gaddafi rebels launched their attack. For several days they seemed unstoppable. Lybia's fate hung in the balance. Having gained control of the east of the country, the rebels moved west, convinced that victory was close.
    We followed the advance of these novice soldiers, young men who had just grabbed a weapon and joined the rebellion at a moment's notice.
    Meanwhile, in Green Square in Tripoli, another team of France 24 reporters followed Gaddafi's supporters, fervent loyalists who said they would stop at nothing to keep him in power.
    International news report on the ground from the France 24 team and our seniors reporters.

    Huh ? Why is that ?
    P.S.: By the way, please, spell it right : it's "French", not "Franch" or "Frensh" or whatever other combination.
    P.P.S.: Don't take it personally.

    @BrownLabRanch
    Yeah. It's just a stupid way to lose valuable ammo.
    If only they target practiced, but noooo ... they prefer to shoot the air and go like "Die, sky ! Die !"

    Oh dear. It's spelt F-R-E-N-C-H.
    Do we fight hard when at war ?
    Just have a look at the casualties we sustained in every war we fought during our history.
    That should give you an answer.

    @RurickTheGreat it's true, it was the Brega battle. I saw a short video from France 24 in the 3rd of March. After that they lost Brega, Las lanouf and Ajdabia, and now they are fighting to retake Ajdabia.

    And all that ruckus started over one man. If Mohamed Bouazizi hadn't committed suicide by fire, there wouldn't have been such a commotion in Tunisia, and the revolution might haven't happened in Egypt, Lybia or in any other arab country ...
    I wonder how historians will look at it in 20 years.
