This pandemic has brought more awareness on the challenges of feeding our communities with nutrient dense food from a regenerative resource.Thank you for organising this event.

    Dr. Willett,
My Uncle Guido wrote a heart disease book and credited you directly for keeping himself alive for an extra 25 years he might not have otherwise had. He believed that we can have a tiny something not-so-healthy once in a while (Not Daily!), as long as we mostly follow your plan.
My only question has to do with regular meat, like chicken and salmon. I realize that plant protein is the newest "meat, " but is chicken and turkey still okay?

In moderation. Stick to fatty ruminants.

Jerusalem artichoke plants are 28% protein! I'm going to use for chicken feed next year. The ones I've harvested so far cook up just like fried potatoes (in butter), super delicious! No problem for diabetics!

I love artichoke hearts! Your chickens are going to be quite lucky birdies! 😉

Stop demonizing the cows and praising packaged foods. That's daft.

@@tomgoff7887Why is LDL so seriously connected to red meat? That's absolute bullshit for a start. But we're talking about leaving it out of the diet altogether because of LDL, you have to remember that cholesterol is 20% of our brain and it's not exactly ignored when it comes to the rest of our body either. Our hormones and testosterone not to mention every single cell in our body requires it. He also has a serious problem with fat. Why? Fat never made anyone fat. And cholesterol turns into vitamin D.... in case you didn't know.
      No, I didn't hear anything.

Science is 'old school'? Admittedly, pseudoscience does currently seem very popular these days with the cognitively-challenged.

Yeah, I'm sure a guy getting over 2,000 peer reviewed scientific papers on nutrition is just old incorrect news.
Do yourself a favor and read actual studies and listen to the actual scientists that aren't selling you something or funded by the beef industry.
There ain't much money in broccoli. People just like hearing good things about their bad habits.@@tomgoff7887
