@@0644-ss7oy being a pilot, I can tell you you're linked to the aircraft you most fly. And yes, emotional link. Loosing an aircraft leaves a scar in a pilot's mind. Especially in case of pilot error ! It must give the feeling that you crashed a beloved lamborgini ! Of course, the most important is saving lives in a loss of control.

Not the same maneuver, but I saw a Thunderbirds crash where the ground came up unexpectedly just like this .... turned out it was a mis-setting of the altimeter or something similar. Wonder if the same happened here. A few more feet of airspace and it looks like they'd have been good. Thank God they ejected safely! That's the important part.
I've seen footage of a similar dynamic that brought to a fatal crash of one of the most celebrated russian pilots at the time (he was the first one to fly the russian space shuttle) Same aircraft. In that case it was one afterburner to fail, unfortunately on a very crucial moment, so the plane, coming down vertically after the maneuver, didn't make enough speed to rise up again and crashed killing 2 spectators ruclips.net/video/OwdGzG1Br5k/видео.html The pilots in this footage here were extremely lucky to save their lives
Realmente uno de los aviones más hermoso . Rompió junto con el Mig -29 la tradición de Rusia qué hacía aviónes , como algo toscos . En el accionante claramente se ve como causa el factor humano.
I just saw it today, May 2024 ... That's just my opinion: the jet didn't have enough aerodynamic speed to get out of the mock orrizontal drop, so they couldn't handle the jet, tried to give full power, the plane went vertical, stalled, and ... crashed (the aerobatic manoeuvre was too close to the ground just for show).
Pilot error, plain and simple... He miscalculated the altitude required for that maneuver, he was way too low and at the las moment you can tell he tries to recover but it's too late cause the engine touches the ground and catches fire.
So true....couldve been a couple of other things also, sudden shift in wind, density alt., etc., but yes, pilot error. Happened to a Thunderbird pilot, forgot to set his altimeter I read or something like that. He survived also.
when you fly on DCS the first time
first time lo;? I fly like this every time
Very sad to see these proud pilots lose their beautiful aircraft! And almost there lives.
Was ejecting part of the show?

That things happen, the pilots are the most sad person for losing the jet , they are like birds with brocken wings now, i feel sorry for them
Ffs..., what a dumbass emotional comment..., its a fucking jet, not a goddamn familiemember, idiot

The video sound is pretty good, beyond my imagination
Was it still under warranty?

Not sure the U2's music is appropriate for the video !
Nice video BTW. Thumb up.
Hardbass is better choise for this kind of videos ;)

Difference between US and Russian pilots are the level of training
They have some damm good pilots
The Russians perform maneuvers at these shows which are forbidden to US pilots. Because you, uh, crash the plane.
Some of the Soviet aircraft kind of look like our jets, Only that their avionics is garbage.
