I'd like to see a movie about all three members of Team Rocket. That would be awesome. If they do a live action on who else thinks Tom Hiddleston would be perfect for the role of James? And if the can't get his voice actor for the anime I would kind of like to see Steve Blum voice Meowth. And I don't know her name but the one who plays the Zillena (hope I spelled it right.) on Once Upon a time would be great as Jessie.

People can tweet all day about “end this persons career because they have a different view on something than I do” but humanity will never team up for the greater good. That’s why we have Pokémon because Pokémon is an amazing thing and I pooped my pants... 😞
I've said this before and I'll say it again. Jessie, James and Meowth have more character development than any other cast member in the entire collective Pokémon anime. To the point, where I consider them to be the actual main characters, much like how Linkara would consider Bulk and Skull to be the main characters of the first six seasons of Power Rangers.

I always liked team Rocket trio more than the main cast. Constantly funny, touching backstories, interesting personalities and how strong the bonds they're sharing.
@@poochyenajones1362 Their subplots were often more interesting than the main plot of the episode. Back when the characters were in Hoenn, I even had this idea that they should do what they did with Rita and Zedd in Power Rangers and have a new more dangerous villain take over Team Rocket, forcing Giovanni and the trio to go around in a camper, as they tried to figure out ways to rebuild their organization.
@@SBaby I wouldn't mind them to have their own spin-off in it's entirety, but we got what we got. Definitely would love them to do more in the show.
@@poochyenajones1362 I'm not really talking about a spinoff. I'm more talking about a subplot that would take place during Ash and the gang's journey. It would be in the same show. But it would give the trio something else to do.

He honestly could have likely become a top Pokemon trainer. He would have started out pretty strong too with his faithful companions Growlie and Carnivine with him.
I feel like he would have tried to gain a bit more freedom anyway away from the posh mansion and take growly to try and become a police officer like the Jenny's.

I used to imitate James' laugh all the time in my college days. It cracked people up. Later, when I was a clerk, I would imitate Jigglypuff and make little kids grin and giggle. Made my day.

I'm glad that James was able to escape his life of rich confinement, and was able to find happiness in the end. James deserved better than that Jessebelle girl. Hopefully James willbe able to find the courage to confront his rich family, stand up for himself, and become the man i know he is capable of becoming. And hopefully he can get his parents to accept Jessie as James's wife. He must have a lot of unseen turmoil under the surface. Poor guy!
I know what I’m about to say might break your comment about saying they might learn to accept Jessie (like as her own person) but his parents could view her as Jessebelle since they look similar and might make it easier for them?

For me, it's because he is genuinely kind to his pokemon. Unlike Ash, James asks the pokemon he bonds with to travel with him, he doesn't just throw a pokeball and catches them like everyone else. There's also the fact that most goodie two shoe character's aren't very well liked.

I liked Tracey, mostly because of my love for his Scyther.
I think that the reason James is the gentle part of team Rocket are his grandparents. They and that he grew up in wealthiness, he knows how loneliness feels like, and how much his personal bonds mean to him. Unlike Jessie and Meowth, who both struggled alone at first, where no one ever stayed that long on their life to make a difference. They're not bad, but their life's depended on be selfish.
There's also a desire for James to be more honorable. In an episode where James is separated from his group and is stuck with Ash and Brock he says that ge always wants to challenge the group to a direct battle but Jesse and Meowth always over rule him. In another episode they are able to battle with donor Pokemon he really gets into and cares about his donor Pokemon and even beats Ash in the battle.
I always saw him as a character trapped in his situation. Ge doesn't really care about riches since he grew uo rich he knows that doesn't mean anything. James is with Team Rocket because Jesse and Meowth are in it. He can't leave because that would mean leaving them
James is the least evil member of the trio. He really loves his friends but I'm not sure Jessie and Meowth love him same way. I don't believe any romantic relations between Jessie and him. Meowth is more friendly.
I honestly think that he is the smartest in the group. Just he is a bit shy to take control of them. He doesn't want to be as bossy as Jessie also. He doesn't hate our boy Ash as the other members. He doesn't care to be succesful to catch Pikachu. Maybe Pikachu is not as important as a bottle crown for him. I sometimes don't understand his motivation. Why does he try again and again? Maybe for sharing a common goal for being part of a family?
All in all, I think James is a good guy. Just his friends are a bit problematic. You need to change your friends James.
If Team Rocket will seperate one day and everybody will go their own way I want to see James as a companion of Ash. He has to run away from his parents, right? He cannot cook or advise as Brock or Cilan but he can support as a navigator. Unfortunately the age gap between Ash and James makes this idea very difficult. Or in Chronicles, Team Rocket landed a small town and first time he found a pretty girl who was worrying for him. It can be a good end for his adventure.

I disagree, Jessie and Meowscles are great friends to him.
I think if they lost each they would miss each other, I think Jesse and Meowth more unappreciated of each other. I think issue is that they are all being exploited by in 'team rocket'. They have potential doing good. Think better ending would if they started own business together. Using each of the skills best at.

James has always been one of my favorite characters. Of all the team rocket members he has such a kindness and loving nature that you sometimes forget he’s part of an evil corporation. One of the things I’ve always loved about James is how he “catches” his Pokémon. He takes care of a Pokémon in the episode, befriends it, or even just makes it smile, they come to love him and just want to spend every moment with him. I could be wrong but I think I even remember him crying to his Chimecho in the Advanced series because he was afraid of it getting hurt when they would “blast off“ Honestly he’s kinder than Ash in some ways especially to his Pokémon (at least in my opinion)

@@YTzaneYT Nope. In the episode where James went back to his old home. You get to see both Jessie and Jessabelle in the same room, multiple times. So, that's been disproven.

my take on james story is that team rocket has been with ash since day one, always trying to catch his pikachu after over 1,000 falures and attempts, and they kinda have a different kinda bond with ash then all of his other companions, they are enemy’s of ash’s to the naked eye but if you look closer they are actually very good friends, like all the times they help each other out. so concluding what i just said i think jessie and team rockets journey will end or they will find there place once ash has finally become a pokémon master.

Didn’t one of the writers say that Jessie was based on an girlfriend he had back in his high school or college years? I can’t remember but for James he’s a cool guy I like it when he actually help out Ash and the others at times which is great to see. He’s a bro when it counts

I think the main theme behind Team Rocket is that true love and friendship is the only thing that matters in the end.
Jessie always failed at everything and those failures are really crushing, but when she met James and Meowth she found 2 people who can relate with her. Now she knows that she isn't alone because she has 2 friends who will always be by her side whether she fails or not.
James was born in a rich family but was forced to marry someone he doesn't truly love. He left because he would rather be poor with someone he loves than be rich with someone he doesn't love. When he met Jessie and Meowth, he had found that true love and that is the only thing that matters to him.
Meowth did everything he could to be with a rich female Meowth that he had a crush on, but no matter what he did, that Meowth did not love him back. In the end, he ended up joining Team Rocket and found 2 people who love him unconditionally.
In life, we tend to think that happiness comes from achieving our dreams, having lots of money, and marrying the most attractive partner we could find, but none of that really matters in the end. What matters is true love and friendship. What matters is having friends and family who will love us unconditionally. That is true happiness.
Yeah people often fail and they think their dreams means happiness... but for me i am happy in the present moment and i love that ❤
James' parents did not care about his emotional well being. They made him preform many tasks that were basically pointless and he did not enjoy, and he was pressured to be perfect znd be the perfect little rich boy. And that wasnt him, he longed to be free. And things only got worse, his parents announced he was to be marry when he was only around the age of ten as soon as he became of age. And the girl he was to marry, Jessibelle, was a horrible selfish person who abused and chased him around trying to change him into a perfect obediant little husband for her. One day, James just snapped. He turned away from everthing he knew and ran away. His only friend, a Growlithe named Growlie, went with him, but eventually James must have convinced it to go back because it still lives with his parents. Im guessing the world got to dangerous and James wanted Growlie to live a better life.
James is defenitly my favourite character in the entire anime, he is such a nice person who loves Pokémon, espessiqlly his own. He found good friends who he can rely on, and they make him happy. Team Rocket is what James turned to when he had no where else to go, and it wasnt because he wanted to destroy the world, he just wanted to fit in somewhere, even if it meant being a criminal. But hes not an evil person, quite the opposite. He smart, talented, kind, and easygoing, and a bit dopy and an all around fun character! He may not fit in with the world, and he doesnt even with team rocket as he continously fails, but he isnt failing on his own. Jessie and Meowth gave him a real family, and I think he is happy with his life so far.

I'm just glad these 3 found each other and were able to band and work together, because if they didn't have each other their backstories would've made me cry harder😟😅
The team rocket back story series was a brilliant idea and I'm thinking now maybe the old companions back story
For all of you who ship it or didn't know. In the Manga series Electric tales of Pikachu, Jessie and James get married and we see her pregnant. So you can rest easy that in at least one story/ canon, they get their happy ending.

I love James so much... my love for him is second only to my love for Guzma. An odd choice, you might think, but his backstory gripped me and to this day refuses to let me go. Might be worth a look at some point for anyone who likes tragic backstories of the misunderstood.

James basically ran away from his crap family and made a new one which is extremely powerful. I don’t really see Jessie as a romantic interest more of a BFF and meowth is another part of his family.

Actually, I remember his grandparents in the episode Mime JR joins the team. He spent summers with his grandparents, and they were nice, but probably didn't make up for the rest of the year...
There's a saying. "A prison with Glass Walls and 24 hour food service is still a prison" okay, I probably butchered it, I don't properly remember.
However, I too kinda relate to James in a way. I never felt like a belonged anywhere and I couldn't make friends with anyone but I tried to distract myself with hobbies like quotes, Games, nerd Culture, mythology, Urban legends and reviews. I tried to develop hobbies and skills on some stuff and now I found people who actually find me interesting because of my interests.
Getting food, entertainment, luxury and security means nothing if you don't feel like you belong there

I find it kind of weird how the physical abuse he endured in his childhood from Jessebelle isn't discussed. Like, his basic needs weren't met? And his parents were very clearly emotionally abusive towards him? His safety needs were never really met as a child.

He does a good heart to take care for his Pokemon and 4 of released/give away for there needs or health care. He released Weezing to keep wild Koffing safe from a poacher, Maraine to not be trapped inside Rocket HQ for study. He left behind Chimemeco to heal from the adventures in Hoen and half of the battle frontier series and in Sinoh he gave his Cacnea to the gym leader to get stronger cause mastering drain punch while in pursuit of Ash and friends would not have the time to get it right

Let's be real James is the main character and reason we watch pokemon
I can relate to James but in a different way. I have been working night times in a warehouse for 8 years now with the goal to make a lot of money, year after year I actually succeeded step by step as I was eventually able to save up to 1.5k every month. I mostly used the money to buy clothes or games and wasnt even spending a lot of it. About 2 or 3 years ago I started to feel depressed and I didnt know the reason why. I was working and working making more and more money that I wasnt even using, that I didnt even need because I already had everything I wanted. Luxury was never interesting for me probably because I didnt grow up with luxury as a child but it got me thinking, "Why am I still working when I dont enjoy my work anymore?" This is where I am at. I want to start a new life and I plan to quit my job and spend 1 or 2 years trying to figure out what it means to live life again, trying to find new things that I can enjoy to do. Im actually pretty excited about it and also happy that I realized it soon enough otherwise I would still work my ass off for nothing. But I have to give credit to my work as well since I made so much money I can now afford to do whatever I want to without worrying about bills.
