I think the only reason Team rocket wants to catch pikachu/ rare pokemon is because they want to prove to giovanni that they are actually useful (even though meowth is a frickin talkin meowth) So if Pokemon Journeys is the last series Team Rocket will probably be put to an end and James, Jessie and meowth would join the good side.
It's so sad and also believable that I wish team rocket will finally be happy by the time the Pokémon anime ends, whenever that is
Blood, Sweat and tears. Oh and of course tragedy.
This is why team rocket is amazing not in anime but in games also one of the redeeming factors of unova was where team rocket was baddas
in their black costumes
She is so strong emotionally and she has a lot of will and determination. She has been through a lot and doesn’t deserve hate

Most of the time, and it's mainly small-time stuff. Meanwhile, pretty much every time some world-threatening disaster happens they're more of a help than anything.
In short, they might be career petty thieves but you can trust them to do the right thing when needed.
To be honest, I liked her Pokémon Performances in XYZ. She somewhat worked hard to get that princess key and it showed how much she cared about following a dream
Her side plot where she considered living a quiet life with that man was so sweet

I also like Jessie in Diamond & Pearl. Unlike in Hoenn where she failed at contests, in Sinnoh she actually work hard for it and made it to the Grand Festival Semi Finals

But, just like her, he wasn't happy. To his parents he was just another piece on their game.

Not everyone has their day. Many go through life never once living it, but merely surviving it to face a new day. Some don't even make it that far, before suck-starting a shotgun, kicking their air addiction, & exiting their meat suit. However, society doesn't discuss such topics. They're not for polite, civilized society, to be concerned with.

Jessie failed the school cuz she covered up for one the Chansey's shortcomings. That same Chansey (now Blissey) still a screw she took the fall for. I'd say that showed more what she's willing to give up than just a straight up failure.

I can relate to Jesse. When I was little people said I would be something like a forensic scientist because I scored higher in science and math than anyone else my age. Then when I was 12 I got diagnosed with schizophrenia, which is incredibly rare to get at that age. My mental health got worse over time. Now the expectations for me in life are so low that my family is just happy I'm alive. (Especially after more than like 5 suicide attempts.)
You know, my bio dad has schizophrenia and we have some stuff going on, I don’t see him but I know I want to again. I miss his hugs and I remember the scratchy-ness of his beard when he would hug me. And I’m hoping for that again. And what I want you to take away from that is there’s something out there to live for. If you can’t live for yourself yet, live for the memories to come with people. I’m pretty young still and I havent seen how schizophrenia can effect I you daily(I’m assuming that is the reason for the attempts) so I know there’s a lot you may be thinking, but please, keep going. Be like Jessie as she keeps trying. She had a pretty bad life but she has some real potential and will get to a place for herself, whether it’s happened and I haven’t seen it in the series or it’s yet to come, even if it’s not in the series. She will and you will too. So please, if you can’t live for yourself sometimes, live for memories. And if you can’t do that, please think like Jessie, try to be like someone who is meant to be great, as you are

Maybe that could be tied in to that theory that before Ash started his adventure there was a big war. Lots of men died which is why almost all the professional adults we see are women and why the world has to rely on kids to save it over and over.

Jessie's story is so inspiring as someone who failed getting into a performance school, failed university twice, failed my coding exams and failed auditions. Im finally got myself a job in a career I want to be in and I hope to cosplay Jessie when I turn 25

my take on jessie’s story is that team rocket has been with ash since day one, always trying to catch his pikachu after over 1,000 falures and attempts, and they kinda have a different kinda bond with ash then all of his other companions, they are enemy’s of ash’s to the naked eye but if you look closer they are actually very good friends, like all the times they help each other out. so concluding what i just said i think jessie and team rockets journey will end or they will find there place once ash has finally become a pokémon master.
They genuinely are really good friends with ash if you think about it and they actually have helped him a ton
Especially in legendary battles
They have like they teamed up together to get them all out of danger and jesie cares so much about James to because in diamond and pearl when it looked like it was the end of line with James and that shiny metagross Jessie came in and sended her sevipher and yam mega to save James over all they have really good bonds all around

Can't we accept Wobbuffet as a member of Team Rocket also? He is not an independent character as others. He doesn't join planning parts but he usually has a big role for their evil tasks. He has a backstory also. Moreover he feels failature as much as other group members.

Jessie did lot of good things actually like let go of dustox, training ditto in journeys, helping chansey,leaving arbok to save other pokemon,saving bewear from guzzlord etc. Last two go to team rocket collectively.
Jessie and James had sad backstories (a tragedy) but they now became a bunch of incompetent recurring bad guys (a comedy)

Imagine jessie's mom and Goh both running after mew and meet each other and thus she makes an entry to the anime. that would be pretty epic
There was an epilogue to the Jessie's mom story. Her communicator sent out one last transmission but no one at team rocket followed up on it. I like to think that either A. She was rescued by mew's worshippers and became the leader of their tribe as the only one to have actually met mew and some creative storytelling or B she was sent to another dimension and became part of team rainbow rocket or team go rocket.

I remember reading that Jessie’s mother was close friends with the former Madam Boss (Giovanni’s own mother) and they were both lost in an avalanche ... poor Jessie 😭😭😭
My favorite part about Team Rocket is that they all have tragic backstories, but they literally treat their Pokémon as equals to them and never gets mad at them. I didn’t really feel sad when the main gang released a Pokémon, but when Team Rocket did they were leaving behind one of their friends

Jessie still had her moments in both of these series. A notable example in SM is when she fixed her Mimikyus suit, it showed how much she truly cares for her Pokémon and in journeys there’s the ditto episode where she lets the ditto go to pursue its dreams as an actor because she didn’t want to hold it back

If you're doing that at Nugget Bridge, it's easier to battle the first swimmer in Cerulean Gym instead of the kid with the Slowpoke. You can actually do this glitch as early as after clearing Nugget Bridge if you use an Abra with Teleport. This is the earliest point at which Trainerfly is possible. You can also use any trainer with maximum range detection for trainerfly, any trainer who's last Pokemon has a special stat of 21, and any sort of warping move to do this glitch. Other special stat values result in other Pokemon, and values above 190 result in glitches. In some cases you can encounter glitched trainers or even the infamous ZZAZZ glitch.

Not gonna lie, Jessie's life story is hitting a little too godamn close to home for my comfort.....
Her biggest tragedy is being trapped within endless loop in pursuit of Ash Pikachu. Anime creators will never remove her from main cast like giving her some major story development (marriage, or leaving the rocket gang for ever), because it could affect the show itself. Just for comparison One Piece has 962 episodes, and Pokemon anime wll hit 1141 this week. One piece characters had some real development, and pokemon anime only a little. By the way your video is really great summarize of this character backstory. This will save up huge amount of time for new pokemon fans.

Pokemon is the type of anime that when you were kid you just want the MC just win every single time but once you get older and older, you starts founding the backstories of the "bad guys" in the story. The more you know about them and the more you look at them, you start to think to yourself "huh, their actions are a beat... humonoid". The sole reason Team Rocket exist is to takeover the world with pokemons, sure it's an evil plan, but the thing is, the rest of the public just enslave a pokemon and make them fight each other, as we see the pokemons are more hostile toward humans than other pokemon, heck... a pokemon of the wild only care if you're with or without a human as your master since those pokemon basically "betray" their wild nature. By team rocket, those "wild pokemon" can take revenge on those who took their family and because of that, it could end the whole pokemon vs pokemon.
Either way, human greedieness will peam and one day the pokemon will rebel against the humans and there would be a plot where the humans will invent stuffs to fight against this so called "monsters"
I believe that was the original vision for the first or second Pokemon movie/the end of the franchise after gen 1 or 2…but then money happened so the writer was forbidden from writing an ending ever.

But still kindna like that view. You know i wish there would be a different way for human and Pokemon to bound instead of just fighting and capture them in tiny balls.
Jesse IS a great performer though. She did really well in the contests in Hoenn and Sinnoh, not to mention the showcases in Kalos. I'd love to see her truly rise up to become a coordinator or performer.

Their backstories, Jessie's Blissey moments, the time they saved Arbok and Weezing along with MANY times in the movies they've helped the gang in the films proves they're good hearted idiots that just so happen to work for bad people. Such a shame.. they never should've gotten messed up with Team Rocket.. but they should indeed stay together.

Just watched the journeys episode where they helped the ditto and honestly, those kinds of episodes where team rocket shows their true colors are my favorite. Whenever they help a pokemon in need or try to be better than they are. Definitely the good storytelling moments compared to the rest.

I'd really love to see a full episode dedicated to Jessie's backstory. We've seen peaks and glimpses but I just want to see the full thing. We got all of James' and Meowth's. We haven't really touched on TR's backstories since gen 4 with the return of Jesibelle for James so this might be more of a pipe dream, but anything's possible right.

I think that Jesse's Mom from the look of the art, she did however encountered Mew, but something between her and Mew happened. Maybe Jesse's mother realized after countless attempts into trapping Mew wasn't worth her time, and decided to befriends with Mew attempting to catch Mew. But her morals gotten the better of her, as she decided to released Mew and make a run from Giovanni and the rest of Team Rocket, hiding until it was safe to go back to her daughter Jesse. Wether or not she has survived after all these years, or have forgotten about Jesse, I believe that she might not be brought up again, unless someone would ask about the big Question of when we will ever see Jesse's Parents at all.
I firmly believe that Jessie, James, and Meowth only stay with team rocket cause it's the only thing that would accept them in life. They show time and again that they have a good moral compass and care for their pokemon. If Ash and his crew ever asked them to join them and be friends, I'm sure they would, though they are kids. So I'm sure if any other good people their age ever actually reached out and wanted to be friends, I feel like they would actually leave team rocket or at least consider it.

Thank you for the motivational speech Charusharu! It would be interesting if Pokemon Journeys were to have the story of Jessie looking for her mother. At the same time, Goh is searching for Mew and so does Jessie's mother. Then, at some point in the episode, everyone found themselves. Be nice to throw Ash's father in there too since everyone is on a journey of their own until they somehow crosses path making the title of the series more meaningful.
Now that I know Jessie’s backstory, I feel terrible about rooting for her to fail. One thing I would love to see is Jessie run into her idol friends and confront them about how they didn’t stand by her when she failed the audition. Instead, they tossed her aside like a huge steaming pile of skuntank diarrhea while going on to become idols. It would be nice to see Jessie spill THAT little secret in front of a crowd. Get some payback for the pain they caused by abandoning somebody who called them her best friends.

I always liked the two tbfh. Jessie reminds me of a villain who really isn’t a villain but was never understood and gave up on herself.

What I've always liked about Team Rocket is that despite failure from time to time they keep such a positive attitude and always have each other's backs when it matters. The episode when Mimikyu tears it's Pikachu disguise showcased that Jessie, despite being a "villain" has a real heart. She does care for her pokemon and that's probably what made Mimikyu so formidable at certain points.
I don't keep up the series too much anymore because I've grown a bit too old for the dialogue but I do keep playing Pokemon Go and watch the highlights from time to time. Regardless of my age, Pokemon will always hold a special place in my heart and the show simply would never be as great as it is without Jessie, James, and Meowth
That's one reason I'll always love the Electric Tale of Pikachu timeline (among others)
Team Rocket gets a pretty happy ending after everything is said and done.

To me Jessie is indeed relatable. And I think that'll applies to a whole lot of Pokémon characters as they're written that way for people to feel connected to them.

Jessie, the one Team Rocket member I would love to see go one her own and become a great Pokemon trainer on her way to the Elite 4s and other regions. I think that she could just take a lesson from Ash, and just try at it. James could as well. But I think Jessie would progress into a dangerous but caring trainer.
If jessie was good but not perfect in nursing in a chansey nursing school that must mean that she was really good couse she had to learn with pokemon and from watching them
Another reason Giovanni keeps Jessie in Team Rocket just because in one story version of Team Rocket Giovanni's is her Big Brother.

I can relate to her back story and pushing the barriers i do but this year is hard and I think people need to open there eyes more rather then just brushing the issue under the carpet. I know this don't make any sense but I felt like it needed to come out

Well, so sad, poor Jessie... And those three 🙈 I like the way Ash says :" They are really bad people who love to steal other people's pokemon" and the truth is, they really aren't bad. Oh my... They are buch of dumbs with glass cage to steal Pikachu and give him to the Boss 🤣 and every time they show up - something happens- team Rocket: "let's steal it in order to give it to the Boss"
They showed a lot of times that they are truly friends with their pokemon, that they seriously care one about another... (poor friendzoned James), that they can be very helpful... Their desire is to be appreciated by Giovanni. And that's not evil. They aren't evil a bit.. They just want appreciation, respect, to be praised... I like them very much, they are fantastic stand up comedy, they can do literally anything... And all that afford vanishes to the thin air..because they get blast off again and again 😵😵🥴😅😅 poor them 🤣 there are troublemakers but not evil and many times they help to resolve the trouble they made 😅 well and in that episode when Jessie fell in love with the doctor in Kalos.. I had all my fingers crosses for her to stay with him and live happily.. And then I saw James and my heart broke 🥺 poor James... He loves her so much all the way, altough she's bossy and yell on him... I know it's the show for kids, so they are trying to keep everything in the friendzone and lot of things kids can't understand or even notice.. This one was one of them and it was truly heartbreaking. I would be very glad to see the happy ending of Jessie and James :) to show them as a real couple not only colleagues from work and give them a chance to start a better work (also better paid) where they could get a real appreciation. It would be really great.

After hearing this story I feel IMMENSE SYMPATHY for her growing up, She is like the Phoenix in a way meaning no matter how XS she's knocked down she always tries again even though she knows she might lose.
This is why I love Team Rocket. They might be dorks, meanies sometimes, but they’re dorks together.
I’d love to hug them all, they’ve been through so much crap together. They deserve at least a little win of some sort. Love Team Rocket, and always will.
TBH it made Sense Why Jessie Did want to be a Nurse Joy cause of the New Back story Version of her Appearance made her look like an Almost near Appearance to Nurse Joy.
