@@harrybond007 you also need angels around ur angles grinder... with the number of accidents ive had, (non work related) i should be dead or paralyzed by now... but religions kept me perfectly healthy
Good information, great advise followed up by visuals. Thank you my freind this is the Best How to informational video I have found to date consering the cut-off tool.
nice demo roy it definitely showed wonder when you made the first cut that would cause injury if you weren't paying attention and the fact the steel fell off a lot easier on the second worked out really well i have had my cutoff wheel glaze a few times and i just lifted and pressed in again to get it to cut but that also creates a crooked finish thank you so much God bless
Actually for cutting tube steel, I would rotate the stock and work along a marked line, trying to minimize the amount of wheel sunk into the work. Less likely to bind or break it off and less friction.
Why do I feel like I'm being punished watching this video? For cutting steel tube, I would rotate the stock and work along a marked line, trying to minimize the amount of wheel sunk into the work. Less likely to bind up or break off as it has less friction...
+Allen McKinney I would say yes. I have made a bunch of cuts now over 150 and the blade is still going strong. I have noticed that it is getting a little bit slower than the first time I used it but I have cut everything from 1"square solid bar stock to pipes to flat stock to you name it LOL. The only thing I have not done yet is anything high carbon.. hopefully this helps. God bless you
Um hello so, I hear you explain the concept of everything, but im curious of the right way to cut through something thick without using up your cut off wheel
Yes, Thanks...But what the heck is that little metal ring that comes with these diamond cutting wheels? It's making me feel like I'm forgetting an important step, and yet I can find not information on what it's for.
grady vago The nut on any grinder is reversible Grady. So depending on what you are trying to use on it determines which way you put the nut on. Try it both ways and one of them will tighten up nice and proper.😁😁😁
wow thanks now I know what I've been doing wrong. burning blades up tried the correct way now cutting safer easier and much faster and very little pressure. thanks
So is droning and rambling, on and on, and making a 17 minute video that is 15 minutes of a dirty drawing. This could have been a two-minute video - one minute explaining the theory and 1 minutes demonstrating. Good info, and the guy certainly knows what he's talking about, but Jesus Christ, I felt like I was being punished.
Also, Never use one that has an On/Off switch! Get one with a deadman switch for cutting metal. While using mine with the deadman switch it kicked out of my hand and hit the inside of my leg and nicked my jeans - had I been using one with an On/off switch it would have cut open my femoral artery
I don't understand what religion has to do with angles grinders
I have more faith in my PPE than God
Well good luck and here is your 🍪 😇🙏

My Agnostic centered blacksmithing has gotten so much better from your in-depth and thoughtful videos, thankyou for your work!
This is YT's best video about cutting with angle grinder. Congrats!

Very important info for anyone using their first angle grinder. 17 min. might seem like a long video but I'm so glad I took the time to watch.
Great video. Very informative about something that people do not really put so much attention to. Well done my friend, thanks!
Can somebody give me the recap of this video? Was the moral to cut diagonal or something?
Actually for cutting tube steel, I would rotate the stock and work along a marked line, trying to minimize the amount of wheel sunk into the work. Less likely to bind or break it off and less friction.
On behalf of all of the misused and abused cutting wheels - Thank You!
Good info to be sure but thinking the same info could be provided in 3 minutes, not 17. That old file used as a pointer was driving me nuts!
I enjoyed your video :) Keep it up!

Good job on the video. Very informative.
Was the first one the wrong way and the second one right?
would you say those lenox blades are worth $15?

Anthony Clemons buy a better cut off wheel, but they use up quickly no matter what

Also don’t buy grinders from harbor freight 😖
Thanks for your advice. Great video!

Going to file this in my long term memory bank. I love them but, angle grinders scare the heck out of me.

Can i take the angle grinder shield off?
The repeated tapping of your pointer is super super super annoying.
Didn't even notice it until I saw your comment...now I can't see anything else. Thanks for that.

They are fucking terrifying
I kept trying to figure out what window was open in my house cause the birds were so loud. 3x I stopped video till I figured it out.
You had me at the channel title.
Good ideas but way too long winded, get to the point and stop talking too much.
This comment was to long.... Dunt du dunt tsk
I'll buy that.
There are no atheists in a fox hole, or people that use cutoff wheels
Why didn’t you just cut some metal and show the property?
Take the guard off and throw it out. Use safety glasses

WHOOOOO....Don't drag that nail on the metal tabletop. It's like nails on a blackboard !!
Yes the tapping Is very annoying. Take some of the critiques as people trying to help you improve. That how this one is intended.
