      The only conspiracy theorists are those claiming there is a _denial conspiracy_ secretly funded by billionaires and oil companies. In fact the funding is so secret they can find no evidence of it, and even use that as proof that it's "dark money." The climate skeptics don't claim conspiracy. They instead attribute acquiescence to self interest and political agenda. Just look at the green NGOs, who take in billions of dollars a year selling climate fear. They aren't going to let that cash cow die regardless of the evidence.

    Humans: I'm boutta end this mans whole career.

  • @ryanluong3320
    @ryanluong3320 6 лет назад +650

    Before people start blaming people as a whole, realize that humans have existed on the Earth for thousands of years without significantly impacting the environment until the past two centuries on the onset of mass industrialization and agriculture. So do not say humans are a cancer that do not deserve the Earth, but the problem is how we are living the modern life.
    Human society is living with the highest standards in history, but the modern life comes with costs. Consumerism with one use products such as wrappers and boxes for the products some people take granted for creates a lot of trash. The electricity we use for all our mechanical processes are mostly created by burning fossil fuels (Renewable Energy such as solar can only do so much. . .). The Cars and computer that you use to live your modern life were created by factories that emit greenhouse gases and require the mining of resources that shift the surface.
    Here is the hard truth. Consumerism and the modern life is a great life, but that comes with clear costs. If you truly want to save the Earth, then understand that the human race as a whole must sacrifice many of its wants and desires and basically live with *less* in order to leave a smaller environmental impact. Until people figure out a way to somehow collect and recycle all the waste created by constant buying, spending, and throwing away of our trash, this is the only realistic option if we want to protect the planet in the long run.

      You do realize early humans lived in small groups and never before in Earths history has there ever been this many humans alive. Also it's not just about the litter. It's also the pollution going to the air and water that's damaging the environment. The problem is there is a high demand of things for a high population and they want it for cheap! Businesses have no other choice but to commit such atrocities. Like what they do to animals in the meat industry and its effects on the environment. Or like the poisoning of water and soils with excessive herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers in agriculture. And that's only mentioning our food system. That's the problem. There's too many people in this world and few that can actually supply that population. People need to have less of everything and do their best to shop local. Might be more expensive but knowing something is made with a goal of sustainability and personal responsibility with a fair practice, it's well worth it.

      @ryanluong3320 6 лет назад +8

      Hey, don't worry about all this. Part of what is stated in all these videos is based on science but fewer scientists are happy with blaming human emissions than previously. Since 1850 the planet has warmed around 0.8 of 1 degree. This was since 1850 which was before the industrial revolution. The planet has not warmed further since 1999 hence we now call it climate change instead of previously global warming. I have a pic of a Sydney light house from 100 years ago and again a pic from last year, no change in sea level around its base. In the 1970's, scientists were afraid of another mini ice age by near the year 2000. Then out steps Al Gore who spoke of global warming. Since his dire predictions in early 2003, nothing has changed. There are still storms, tornadoes, floods etc as much as ever. Well, NASA feel they are reducing but all the media jump on any global catastrophe as if every event points to climate change. Polar bears are increasing in number, and interestingly, green house owners in Europe deliberately pump Co2 gas into their greenhouses to massively increase yield. Plants love Co2. Scientists say we are actually well down on Co2 gas levels compared to the Jurassic and other periods when there was much more vegetation than we have today. Was it NASA again, who say from satellite images that areas of the planet are becoming greener as Co2 levels rise. There was a mini ice age in the mid ages, in London the river Thames used to freeze over every winter until 1802. Since then the planet has been warming. This was before the industrial age or large amounts of human population. And again NASA, I read a lot of what they are seeing from outer space, they say most of our planets have been warming in the last 30 years due to a solar maximum. The sun is now entering a solar minimum so we can expect a little cooling of the planet. I say, follow the money and see what these climate change folk say we should do with our countries money supplies. Handing over billions to global elites is the aim of the game here it appears and not much else. China and India give the middle finger to all this reduction of emissions.

    What people don’t understand is that although there is a correlation between temperature and climate, just because it doesn’t feel like summer everyday doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Climate is global or regional, it’s different than weather. Weather could change every day. Climate cannot. Moreover, for those who argue that we’ve experienced climate change in the past, that is correct, but compare the levels of CO2 and the rate of climate change with that of the previously stated.

Animal Agriculture is the leading cause of land use, soil erosion, fresh water depletion, ocean dead zones, deforestation, acidification, habitat destruction, ect. Human activity is one of the causes of climate change, this is evidenced by the greenhouse effect gases originated by the smoke of factories. Over the years, this environmental issue has increased, for that reason today we can see the horrible consequences. We can see these in our ocean, in the weather, in our food sources and in our health. For me, the biggest consequence is in the weather because the high temperatures caused by climate change generated the thawing of ice, leaving many animals without their natural habits. Also, the high temperatures affect in our skin when we have direct contact with sun, and in our food/ healthy because growing crops becomes more difficult. Is a sad reality but if we care about the planet, we can do the change.

    I'm not saying that CO2 emissions do not affect the climate temperature, but why do I feel like people do not look at other factors? Why do we automatically assume that CO2 is the only factor? Can it be that CO2 might just be one of the hundreds of factors that causes climate change such as the sea, sun, earth rotation, etc., and that we actually don't really know how much humans contribute to climate change? Furthermore, it would be impossible to figure out what our spending of trillions of dollars, not driving cars, flying airplanes, etc., would accomplish in 20 years. I'm open to having my mind changed, but I don't see it as very reasonable and proportional to sacrifice my freedoms for something that we don't even know if it will make any difference - for a problem that we don't really know why it came to be.

    • @bushman6964
      @bushman6964 3 года назад +4

      It was actually very recently proven by top scientists co2 emissions do cause climate change, the papers are availeble on the internet.
      And youre not exactly sacrificing your freedom, eating less meat, not using as much plastic, using public transport or cycling insteatd of driving to places. Those arent very drastic measures especially given how dire the situation can become if climate change is not stopped.

    *The best way to curb climate change?*
    Reduce greenhouse gases such as crude oil, natural gas, and coal.
    *How do we do that?*
    - Transition from materials like plastic to sustainable + eco-friendly ones like bamboo.
    - Transition from fossil fuels for energy to renewable ones like solar, wind, and hydropower.
    - Find solutions to minimize energy and resource waste around the globe.
