I love the colors man. This is going to be a sick build. That blue just fits so well. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the LEGEND part. The small part. It kind of looks like Egeno. I know you want to commemorate "39". Just would rather you throw 39 on the number plates. Otherwise I freaking love it and your channel. Whatever you decide, I'm just happy to see some bikes brother.🤘 No offense...just a little criticism.
I worked at a powersports dealer back in 06, and none of us in the parts dept knew how to pronounce acerbis. So we literally called the company and said "hi, how do you pronounce your name?" They said a-cher-bees.
Mike man, TITANIUM BLUE HUBS!!! That would set it just over the edge. In my opinion… sorry guys I’ll keep my thoughts to myself next time lol. Love this build Mike!!
MIKE!!! if that tank is good (no holes or leaks), you can bring it back to like new condition with nothing more than hydrogen peroxide and UV rays (the sun). Put the tank in a big clear tote and fill the tote with peroxide and put it outside in the sun. Within an hour or two, that tank will look brand new. There are a ton of videos on RUclips of guys restoring certain plastics like that.
For the radiators I highly recommend you check out ICW in North Carolina, he straightens them, welds in gussets and supports. He is really affordable and does quality work. I know he does a lot of work for professional racers and teams. Really looking forward to see how this build comes out, keep up the great work Micheal!!
That's a pretty badass color scheme Mike. I like seeing when people break from the norm and use different wild colors on builds. The only suggestion I could make and it was just an observation while watching you color the letters for Legend. When you were choosing your colors it looked like for a moment you were going to choose a neon-magenta for outlining your letters when they were still blue at 27:24. Since you changed from that original design what about coloring your black outline for your blue background in a neon-magenta and maybe outline Legend with it? Aside from being curious about what it'll look like I have no further input. It's just a suggestion and nothing more. It's awesome looking. :)
It's not a bad idea. I did mess around with the outlining for a bit - there's a good bit of the designing that I didn't screen record (it was about 7 hours total 💀) I just liked it better every time I removed it for some reason.
@@MichaelSabo I have the same problem. You fiddle on one little bit for a few hours, like the end result and stare at it for a while. Then you wonder how something else will look and continue to fiddle some more. It's never ending and it's hard to make up your mind. :)
Your design looks awesome! You knocked it out of the park again. I think I would add a little blue trim to the side number plates to make them pop. Looking forward to this build for sure!
Hey Michael, the T-piece connection in the frame requires a special tool. A threaded aluminium pipe is glued in there. Don't mess it up! Also, I think the dog bone link is flipped over, the nuts should be on the same side. Also check the shock bodys inside, the coating wears away if the sag adjuster lock ring is overtightened. The same happens when the shock's upper and lower bearings go bad, that will bend the shaft, causing rapid wear to the shock body tube.
Looks pretty awesome! As a KTM owner for some years and enthusiast in personalisation like yourself, keep in mind that with those color combinations in the plastics you'll need to have a 3rd color in the airbox. I think in that year model KTM only had black, white or orange. You can see the airbox from the back and it is quite a considerable area. Cheers mate!
My 05 CRF250R is that way, currently restoring it and slowly upgrading it, 07 subframe-dual exhaust setup, and a few extras, everything is brand new, cases, bearings, bottom and top end, a lot of money sunk in it lol 😂
Love the final design dont change anything looking good!!!!! And the KFX Athena 440 is back to life taking it to AOAA this weekend!!!! This is gonna be another epic build
If you strip the plastic thread use a cable tie cut down flush to fit inside the threaded section then tighten the bolt back in works for stripped plastic well as a temp fix
Looking good sabo pretty cool when you gave me a hint on what the colors would be i wasnt expecting this looks pretty dope man wish i could show you my crf100 sumo im building i feel like youd appreciate it im thinking about going the whole 9 stripping down and powder coating etc its pretty neat so far i think youd get a kick out of it glad your doing some of both now the quads and bikes that is your literally the real life mx vs atv build channel 😂 anyways man keep up the good work and thanks for the content brotha its appreciated on this thursday night 💪
When you were trying to get the color from the listing, You can get get a paint dropper add on for chrome where it will give you the color code from the browser. That will give you a good baseline to work of of in PS.
You have a great eye for design bro! I wasnt sure when you pulled the plastics out of the boxes but once you put together the graphics it looked amazing
Mike, you got a lot of good ideas about the color and the #39 in the word legend but some part got to be orange. After all the bike will always be a KTM. This is just my opinion. I wish you a good built. Looking forward for your next videos.👍
When it comes to color matching on the screen i just use a hex code finder and upload a picture to it. Gets you really close compared to the old eye ball technique.
LOVE the bike builds id love to see you riding enduro onit and actually getting stuck in some boggy messes and log hopping haha keep up the great work bud with love from the UK
Oh wow I can't wait for this one that is going to look absolutely sick! Interestingly enough I stumbled upon that polisport brand just this morning while looking for headlights for my CRF. They seem to make nice stuff from what i have found.
love the colors. i would change the swingarm to either match the gun metal grey or leave it raw and then change the fork color to the kashima dark brown or a matte black. matte black forks and swingarm would match though
Love the plastics choice, same with the stickers. Tho one thing I'd change is the headlight, the newer aftermarket headlights have always just looked better (IMO). Any critizism on this thought is appreciated. Keep up the good work!
Agree that the top pic with flourescent frame looks better. Your final design looks awesome. At first I couldn't read that Legend with the backwards and upside down E and G. Also the D at the end looks kind of like an O. But after you explained why you did it I thought it was pretty cool. Just my thoughts, take and do with it as you wish.
I would like to see you run a Smart Carb. or Lectron Carb. on one of your builds . Just curious how good and easy they are to set up. Thanks for all the content!!!! Awesome work you do.
Only recommendation i can say with rebuilding the forks yourself is make sure everything is spotless clean. Take your time and be sure to take extra time running them through cycles to purge the air. Its not hard but easy to fuck up of you are not on your game or in a rush.
Dude this thing looks sick, love the different style design as well as the homage you paid to the og. When you started adding the blue I was hoping you would atleast try and see what the swing arm looks in the blue and the kickstand black. I’m a big fan of different but also matching. So the mass suspension components the same color would be sick
In my honest opinion I’d do the graphics in kinda like a retro fashion? It’s a newer bike but to pay respect and show the history of the past owners do the old school graphics yet tie into the current style? Maybe you’ll get what I’m going for if you read this? 25:44 like at this time stamp but KEEP THE COLORS they’re wicked
Well, in the initial color choosing in this video, I was all in until you brought in, what appeared to me, to be a very light blue. I wasn't loving that at all until you said, "yeah, the blue color of the Suzuki valve cover". Then I thought, oh hell yeah. That blue certainly played awesome with the yellow on the quad! But after thinking about it, I think I loved that blue because of the matte finish/deep texture. My point here is, you probably can't really duplicate the look of that blue on your on-screen renderings. I think you should keep that in mind with the folks that tell you they're not digging the blue. And to finish my point, that matte blue would look kick ass on the hubs of the black wheels. Hopefully the spokes will be black as well. One other thing I noticed... The "L" in legend could flow a little better yet. I don't really know how yet, but before you resized it to the rendering, my eyes only really saw 'egend'. After you tweaked it onto the bike, it got better for my eyes, but still could use a touch more tweak, imo. Your skills as a graphics designer blow me away. Thank you for the awesome content, as usual. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
Sweet bike I would stick with the rendering!!!! Only thing I would change is the swing arm color so the decals on it would pop. Keep up the good content!!!!!
If you are planning to paint/power coat that engine frame, would you like to experiment on abobe how it would look as that gun metal grey too? Imo it would kinda tie up color scheme from front to back little bit more. Anyways it's excellent works as usual and absolute banger 2 tone with those graphics :P
Looking Rad man. Did you try option 1, but with the yellow front fender and shock guards? That might be something to explore, but I definitely like Option 2 better of the two.
I would’ve matched the swingarm to the frame, all plastics to match as well, then made the seat and fork guards Nardo grey and did the wheels in Nardo grey. Nardo grey swingarm stickers and graphics with touches of neon in the Nardo grey graphics to accent the swingarm and offset the neon yellow
Looks awesome but all bikes need a number make so much difference in the look if you dont already have one id come up with one even just the 39 on the number plates would work!
Thanks for watching my video! What do you guys think of my design idea? What mods would you like to see to the build? You guys ROOOOCKK!!! 🤘🤘🤘
You should do a tusk stand mod video
Absolutely sick 🤟
I love the colors man. This is going to be a sick build. That blue just fits so well. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the LEGEND part. The small part. It kind of looks like Egeno. Everything you do with these machines are dope bro
Dude, it looks awesome!
You should see what it looks like taking out the blue and changing it to gray. Still does look pretty sweet with the blue.
I'm so hyped for this build. Keep the bike content coming!!
i dont even know how to ride a quad much less a bike, but every video im here just for the good content.
That's the best compliment in the world - thank you
Hopefully someday you can pick one up and enjoy it as much as we do!
I worked at a powersports dealer back in 06, and none of us in the parts dept knew how to pronounce acerbis. So we literally called the company and said "hi, how do you pronounce your name?" They said a-cher-bees.
Hahaha, that's awesome dude - I will have to start saying it correctly 😂
Mike man, TITANIUM BLUE HUBS!!! That would set it just over the edge. In my opinion… sorry guys I’ll keep my thoughts to myself next time lol. Love this build Mike!!
Dude... I 100% agree! If the rims don't come assembled, then I will most likely change the color of the hubs!
Exciting seeing something new after you built your childhood dream quad. I dont know anything about cycles but its still amazing content.
MIKE!!! if that tank is good (no holes or leaks), you can bring it back to like new condition with nothing more than hydrogen peroxide and UV rays (the sun). Put the tank in a big clear tote and fill the tote with peroxide and put it outside in the sun. Within an hour or two, that tank will look brand new. This was the comment I was looking for. Seen this a ton of times with other restoration channels. Makes them look better than brand new.
Bike is going to look sick bro!
This one is going to be fun. Can't wait.
Bro, that design is boss. Stick with that one. That's fire 🔥
Black wheels and black swingarm look sick! Please do the fork tubes in black as well, they are all similar parts.
I love to see you working on bikes! I have been following you since like 40k subs, you were racing banshees and 250rs up hills in head to head.
I feel like im watching my life on another level. I have a vette, race quad and 4x4 and street sport bike. Just need to go to harbor freight more.
Lol
I have a black oversized acerbis tank on mine. Love it.
I was really happy with my Acerbis plastics for a 99 CR250 i rebuilt. Perfect fit and finish with zero issues. No scratches or fading. Good company!
Yellow in the front! The blue was a hell of an idea too. I’m digging it
For the radiators I highly recommend you check out ICW in North Carolina, he straightens them, welds in gussets and supports. He is really affordable and does quality work. I know he does a lot of work for professional racers and teams.
Really looking forward to see how this build comes out, keep up the great work Micheal!!
Thank you for this info Greg, I'm going to look into it!
Love the bike and bike content! Looks perfect...don't change anything. God bless brother! Keep hitting the gym. Looking healthy
Thank you man!

Gonna be sweet to see you build a bike man, love the quad content also but it’s cool to see you do something new man
Glad you're looking forward to it man!
That design is wild! Go with it!
Looks sick.. can’t wait for the build
Your design looks awesome! You knocked it out of the park again. I think I would add a little blue trim to the side number plates to make them pop. Looking forward to this build for sure!
Thank you man! Maybe adding numbers with some blue in them will help

Man Mike this bike is gonna look so sick I really appreciate you doing this kind of content. 🤘
Gotta run the headlight man! Love the design so far. I can't wait to see it. Keep up the good work!
Your design is awesome! Good luck with the build and I'll be sure to watch every video
Sweet man!! Might need that old rear fender with light bracket!!
Not sure what will come of the old fenders - I got like 3 sets with the bike. I may be re-using the light bracket though.
@@MichaelSabo does it have a plate holder? Rear fender!!
That looks good Michael nice work.

@@MichaelSabo yessir always a pleasure brotha! And I am man wish I could photo comment lol
Bike is going to be sweet Mike, can’t wait to see the finished product!
Yes
Your designs never come out bad. I didn't like the color scheme at first, but with the graphics and the titanium blue, it's totally eye candy.
Looks great Mike
When you were trying to get the color from the listing, You can get get a paint dropper add on for chrome where it will give you the color code from the browser. That will give you a good baseline to work of of in PS.
Looks really good, I would add just a tad bit more black. Maybe all black levers grips throttle exc
Looks very nice. Mad skills ☝🏻
Mike, that design is so sick !! Can’t wait to see it come to life if I know you it will look even better in person!

That color theme looks great Mike.
Looks sick!
I would not do the engine side cover and kick stand blue.
I would keep it silver, would look better in my opinion.
Love the content you are a pro!
Great looking design , going to be an awesome machine for sure.

I would use the holographic grey on the yellow parts , and the holographic yellow on the grey parts , will contrast really good
My first thought of the color scheme was a little weird, but as soon as you put the graphics on there you have a winner. I think it looks sick
