- Grayson Hobby discusses the different types of RadioMaster radios available, including the 4-in-1, vs ELRS version. We suggests that if you're flying planes and want to do a lot of telemetry information, the Tx16 is probably the best option. However,if you're flying FPV, the Boxer, Tx12 or Zorro are better options. The Boxer radio is a the best option if you want a box radio and that the full-size gimbals feel better than the mini gimbals. If you're new to the hobby, the Boxer ELRS radio is a good option, but if you already have investment in the hobby, the 4-in-1 radio with an ELRS module is a better choice. In our opinion, the Boxer is the BEST FPV Radio for our needs, however, the size of the radio will really be the deciding factor for you choice.

I have a question:All of my fpv quads have FRSKY Receivers and I'd like to know which radio would suit my quads.I am replacing my Taranis qx7 Access radio which ive had for 3 yrs but the gimbals are worn out and the software freezes up while I'm trying to work on a model.Can you please recommend a radio that'll work with my quads? But I believe you guys should think about doing a less biased review if I may.
I fly with a Horus x10 and a Taranis and an X lite (yes really) depending on the mission.
The Tx 12 and T lite do feel really small but they are perfect to travel around with a whoop or anything really if you can’t take much.
The Tx12 also is really good for thumb flyers or racers (smaller throw) I believe you should have emphasized that you do have bigger hands (you do mention but just chuck the small radio out, like it is a bad radio) otherwise some people may buy the larger ones and believe they are the best of everything without even trying them before hand.
Also, boxer is nowhere near ideal for serious helicopter and plane(jet) pilots, you may run out of buttons and slides for functions.
Greatat review though. Keep them coming, it is very helpful.
I purchased a Radiomaster 16s at the beginning of the flying season. I struggled with it at first coming from spektrum but everything is coming together. I absolutely love it. I just recently brought the blue leds and installed them after watching your video. The programming is endless. Im so happy with my purchase. Having said all that they come with Terrible sd cards. Replace them as soon as you purchase. Save yourself the troubles

I purchased the boxer 16 channel 4 in 1 after dropping and damaging my spectrum dx 9 radio
Update. I went with 4in1 and am up to 4 planes instead of 1 now. Definitely an addition if you ask me lol

I'm standardizing my entire RC fleet (helis, planes, quads) on ELRS, so I'm getting the TX16S with ELRS built in.

I had the Radiomaster TX16S Mk Il and used it for awhile. It was a lot of radio for my needs so I sold it, I bought the Radiomaster zorro and love it. I use the Flysky Rxs and use them from cheap foamies to $1000 planes. People trip out when I'm flying my big planes with a game style controller.

I personnely like the tx16.I only fly airplanes.
Do you really have to be familiar with LINUX to program those transmitters? I heard they are not user friendly!

Radios with a real touchscreen have no buttons to push,I have one of those but they cost more.I like your video,excellent.

I have been looking into Radiomaster.I am soo sick of Spektrum equipment.I have to replace a remote receiver interconnect lead and the dam thing is ten dollars.The receiver won't work without it.I feel a lot of there stuff is over priced.Ten dollars for a small three wire twisted lead with two micro molex connectors,really?

Today's radios look so boring, just generic black boxes.
The 1990 and 2000s saw some of the best looking Radios, my 2000 JR PCM10X still looks awesome today.
A totally useless Video. No discussion of what or how they program.
Last time I looked, and I have one, there is no service center in the US .I had many emails back and forth with China.
They all run EdgeTX so their internal functions are identical, the differences are in the ergonomics, the switches, and in the case of the Boxer, the cooling for the internal TX module.
Maybe you should lay off the caffeine, do this video again, and start at the beginning. This could have been very useful but it was not useful at all.
