I mean the answer is obvious, a giant YES!!! The real question I have not found the answer to is how many of them is too many. I will respond back here if I ever find out (I think it will take a good bit more research and time!). I would prefer 7 or 8 lunch boxes versus one of those crazy 8s basher trucks! But there is a part of the hobby for everyone and not all are going to be entertained by the slower and more tipsy side of things, I adore them though!!
Agree fully, obviously you could stick a rocket in a Lunchbox and send it to the moon, but there is a model for all. If you want a fun easy going, amateur friendly, expert loving, enjoyable RC then buy a Lunchbox….or 5 🙄😂👍
@@RCsoandso Building is all done, I even fit my old battered up shell on it. Only issue I came across was to do with the servo saver, the stock ones they come with are very rattly!
@@TUGamerTM I must admit a high torque servo saver is always good, as you are right the one that comes with it gives up quite soon, especially when its hammered 😂👍

I think until you get a Lunchbox and drive it around, all you childhood memories of basic physics come flooding back. They are fantastic and I am glad that this nonsense helps 😆😂👍
Never seen anyone who drove one not like it. It's easy to give it a look and critique it, but driving it puts a smile on most people's faces. But that's just my opinion.
I’ve just bought one at the ripe old age of 50 , I loved these as a kid but could never afford one, but my friend had a Subaru brat and I was so jealous. So now it’s my turn to own and build one myself and I love it, kept it stock white to keep costs and upkeep of the bodywork to a minimum but looks great especially as you never see a white one. Oh and one last thing Great videos 🎉
Whites a good shout as it hides the scratches, will you just sticker the body or still give it a blast with some white paint? You will love it, and thank you for watching and taking the time to comment it’s very much appreciated 👍
Hi there and I would answer that with a Hell Yes! Just look at them running around, now put a second camera on the face of the user, What do you see? A great big smile! What do you feel? Shear happiness and elation! The negatives….none! Awesome smiles from me. Take care and best wishes 😉😊😉
It’s good if you are just starting in the hobby or if you are a hardcore vet! I think the Lunchbox is an important milestone for Radio Control driving 😆😂👍
None of the RC coming out today would ever have a following that transcends the test of RC history. You have to paint, build, drive, and repair it. That is the HOBBY.
You have hit the nail on the head I would say. Even if you only had a Lunchbox it’s a complete hobby. These days some cars feel disposable or you just open the box and you are ready to go, you don’t have that bond with building and painting 🤔👍
Several months ago they went on sale at my local hobby shop, I couldn't resist picking one up. I still haven't put it together yet, it will be a winter project (canada). I have 17 rc's in total from crawlers to bashers and I am very excited to build and drive it. I built a blackfoot this summer and love driving it. Thanks for the great content. Keep up the good work 👏
I love my Lunchbox's. I have 4 of them with different paint jobs for each one. The 4th is my beater, 3rd is treated nice as I run it around, the 2nd and 1st are shelf eye candy which I drive few times a year. I also have a Frog, Blackfoot and Hornet. All fun to have for different experiences.
@@RCsoandso Thanks! I kind of have a 5th lol I forgot to mention the Mid-Night Pumpkin which I have owned since 1988😂 I'm thinking of getting the Monster Beetle next year.

Its a great all round model. We tend to put Torque Tuned motors in ours, you can beef them up more, but I don't think its fully needed for what they are 👍
If you are in a position to be able to afford one, then answer is "Absolutely Yes". Even when compared against my more expensive models, the Lunchbox is the most fun model I have played with in a long time!
I've always wanted one since they came out, finally got one this year. Still needs built, and will be, as soon as I'm done constructing my Sand Scorcher. For me, the final push was watching yours in the Blue Peter video.
I remember that day, bit of a crappy bit of waste ground on the edge of the coast, and it was fantastic fun. What bumper did you go for with the Sand Scorcher, which I also consider in the top 5 Tamiya models🤔😂👍
@@RCsoandso To me, the Sand Scorcher is the holy grail, but that's just my opinion. As far as bumpers go, the standard Tamiya one is my choice. It's the ugliest, but also seems to be the best protection. The Rough Rider though is ALMOST as desirable as the Scorcher, given it's based on Malcolm Smith's 1973 Bel Ray Bullit. But I digress lol
@@RFVCXR200R I spent a kings ransom on getting the box art one sent from Texas, but i do agree the one provided would give more protection. I have never seen a Rough Rider in the flesh so to speak

It might not be the one to go for if you are trying to emulate the antics of Mr. Talbot but other than that it's a load of fun and endlessly upgradable. That’s a really good question, I would say oil shock! It makes it land so much better and you don’t have to go crazy with the thickness of the oil, but it does do way better than the pogo sticks 👍
