@@dustyice3110 It was a partial re-body car. He got lucky the auctioneers had his back.
Ah okay I figured I was missing something. That price makes much more sense now. Normal superbirds are like 150-250k it seems so for a restomod 180k seems pretty reasonable.
@@dustyice3110 Well, the thing is that even clones go for higher. And this one isnt a clone. There are many aspects beyond just the VIN that set it apart. Plus Hoovie spent the last year getting it sorted so nothing like how he got it.
I am betting people saw 'partial rebody and walked.' If fixed proper? Doesnt bother me. Shoot. People are fine for some reason with completely rusted shells being fixed up. Corrosion being far worse thing than replacing just a few panels.
The passion in the auctioneers on the superbird. Big thumbs up to them 👍🏼
Really appreciate telling what you have invested in each car. Wish others would do the same. Great presentation!
Really enjoyed this video, have watched many Hoovie videos, and pound-for-pound, enjoyed this one the most. As others have said, I really enjoyed know the buy-repair-sale and profit numbers... Not because I will ever live this life, but because it lets me go-along for the whole ride.
Congrats on the record miata sale!! Can't wait to see what you dragged home this time
15:18 Nice save 😂😂
Lmao there's no way in hell any straight man would not be checking her and the other blond out.
Please do more of these videos!! One of my favorites. I realized during the auctions that I was holding my breath. 😆🙌
I really appreciate the truth and honesty in his divulging all the costs involved.
We all want to know and he delivers. I don’t judge him if he makes or looses on any transaction.
It’s both useful and entertaining to know the truth for a change and that’s why he has done well. 👍
Hoovie totally bought that Ford GT! Congrats dawg!
I absolutely LOVED this video Hoovie. Thank you so much for bringing us along on the ride, explaining all the fees, and giving us the actual numbers. I can't wait to see what you bought!
Seeing Hoovie’s genuine reactions to making money is very entertaining
15:15 My thoughts as well, Hoovie.
😉👌
The cheeky smile at the very end 😊 LOVE seeing your excitement still car after car!
3:39 It would be way cheaper and easier, to just buy a S10 tailgate and paint it ,new decal!
Congrats on the success on the auctions!
My bet is on that McLaren SLR. That looked to be about 200k worth because of the electrical fire.
This comment aged well :)
That auctioneer did you a solid pushing the Superbird like that.
I'd push it pretty hard for 8% too! 😂
One of the most amazing videos that you've done.
Seeing the emotions on your face as you tried not to lose too much money was awesome. Make this video again with some more expensive cars at the next auction. Keep the camera on you just as you did in this one. I finally subscribed. You earned it!
Hoovie actually made real profits for once
ehh, factor inflation.... thats 10% profit. so he broke even basically...
He probably already spend it all on more cars, that profit is long gone
Looking at his new house, he's doing just fine.
@@BillyBobDingledorf yup. He has other sources of income. Breaking even on selling cars is nice, but he can take a moderate loss on them and still live comfortably.
And I don't at all begrudge the guy that. He's found a way to make a (supposedly, unless proven otherwise) honest living doing what he loves.
@@BillyBobDingledorf Hoovie's a multi-millionaire. I'd imagine he's getting by okay.
I really loved that video Tyler, it's great to see you that happy and what an honor to have Craig Jackson come by and film a preview.😎👍🏻
Also very interesting to see the behind the scenes clips at the auction.
I'm very excited what's next.😁
That was a super exciting release. Well done surviving auction nerves. I wonder what you bought?
I really enjoy the content this channel provides. It allows me to relax as it breaks my intense focus on tasks at work that thinking about any more for the day won’t be beneficial. I’m glad to see folks seem to enjoy what they are doing.
Because of the great work done by the Car Wizard and his crew and Van Go and his crew, the Hoovie brand is actually worth more at auction then many other car sellers cars.
Hoovie is brutally honest about the cars he sells and the work he pays for to make the cars whole again.
That's way better then a CarFax.
Having someone actually inspect the car ,that you can trust before you buy it and get the bugs out makes the car way much more valuable.
Plus being able to go to RUclips and have an instant review of all the cars former issues and the great repairs done in priceless.
It's very important that people see HIGH quality work done which is all that the Car Wizard and Van Go do, so Hoovie congrats on a great sale.
The presentation and transportation of your cars was amazingly professional too.
You just seem to bring the best out of people.
Congrats.
Glad it went so well for you Tyler!! How many are you bringing home is the question?😃
congrats on the sales, im happy for you my guy.
im also happy for the channel as, that's funds for more content.
Loved this Tyler! More of this please!
Cool seeing the auction process live with cars we've been following. The real profit is all the months of content on these cars.
If there ever was a Hoovie video that needed the Hoovie music at the end, this was it! I'm very ready for the next video!!!!!
That Ford GT would be an awesome addition to the collection.
Many years ago, I had the opportunity to purchase one for $95K. If only I knew then what I know now.
It's a good day for Miata collectors everywhere to see a Miata go for that much
Yeah it's awesome! Now blackrock will buy them all and make even more artificial demand! Sweet comment
Great day, now the price just got jacked up for anyone who wants one to drive
Enjoyed a similar wave with the S2K
You’re living the dream Tyler. Congratulations on your profit.
Once again you have brought us another awesome video. Congrats on selling all of your vehicles. You have finally made some money on your vehicles. I knew you could do it.Can't wait to see what vehicles you have bought. I know the Wizard is patiently waiting to work on them. Take care of yourself. Andy from Ontario Canada.
I'm glad you're happy with my bid, it's a cool collection that works well along-side my European collection.
Hoovie, I was nervous for you! Glad it came out in your favor. Will miss the Superbird!
Great to ride along with you through the auctions, Hoovie! Can't wait to see where the money (burning a hole in your BJ account, for now) went....... Much more fun to come I am sure!!
Good work Hoovie! Too bad about the Cyclone honestly, 20k is a great buy for that. Makes you wonder how much you would have made in peak covid times, I'm thinking at least 50% more.
Best hoovie video to date! We need more auction videos
I love the guys who make mistakes and messages and just do bone headed things and leave them in the video and bring it back up later. One of my favorite channels!
That was exciting. Tyler must have had a blast.
🤣 I’ve backed into one of my own cars in my driveway before. I felt so dumb.
I backed my m4 into my mate car Saturday literally wanna cry now needs a spray on the bumper
My mom backed into my dad's car, obliterated the driver's door 🤣
😂 easily done though. my ex backed into the neighbors car. Parking sensors screaming at her didn't stop her carrying on backwards 😂😂. I was pretty mythed but glad no one was hurt
LOL those auction fees are insane...
I'm from Illinois, and I am a first Gen S10 fan. Last summer a locally owned GMC Syclone come up for sale. It was one owner completely documented, had originally window sticker and all maintenance records. He got 28 out of it.
I'm happy for Hoovie. Man, that auction was incredible
The last 5 seconds….😂
The question now is how many cars did he come home with?
I think there is a rumor going around that he bought the SLR
I would kill for that MX5, insanely good condition. 25 grand USD is a lot :o
You’d kill for 25k?
@@johnnychimpo7539 figure of speech, just meant I really like it :)
oh man that early 80's toyota 4wd at 13:05 behind hoovie. best trucks ever
Wow that looks really fun watch your cars roll up like that and watching people bid on them
I think if the super bird was brought back to OEM (stock tune, wheels, etc) it likely would have gone above $200k
Thanks for taking us on this ride. Whoever scored that Syclone got a helluva deal. I think you were about 8-9 months too late to the party, but just in time to actually make some money. Can't wait to see what you "invested" in next.
With inflation? Not even close. Adjusting for inflation the $25k MSRP in 1991 is about $52k today.
Hoovie was sweating bullets when the Superbird wasn't selling 😂
Arriving at this video post two years later... this was still great to watch! I was white knuckling the whole way through. Great video!
Watching Richard Rawlings getting royally reamed at multiple auctions was all I needed to see. Hello facebook marketplace (I know, I know-but hey, at least it's free!) Glad you did well, Hoovie!
Whomever got that Syclone, got a deal of a lifetime!
New owner of the scylone can fix that driver side exhaust tip now lol
