I theorize that Thomas might’ve been the older brother and had a younger sister named Sophie, Honestly it’s just a assumption but i felt like Thomas was always player 1 and might’ve sometimes get annoyed when his sister played but he just let her, The game shows that Sophie died in a accident where Thomas failed to catch her , leading her to fall to her death
So as a vengeful spirit with the assumption that her brother had forgotten her, She haunts him through the game hey had always play together
Woah nice theory, i thought that thomas and sophie is mario and luigi and playing tag and thomas is playing and didnt know sophie is actually chasing him, you know? Like the game is mario running away from Luigi which is Thomas running away from sophie. Thats my theory btw

I kind of agree, but in the first episode or level of the game, it seemed like Sophie erased the goombas for her brother’s safety. Or maybe these Mario enemies are kinda his imagination and Sophie’s trying to get him back to reality to make him apologise. Of course, I don’t think he does do that, think it was just an accident and it was never his fault, so he doesn’t need to. In the last level, I think Thomas was trying to collect Sophie’s body parts for her funeral, but as he didn’t show remorse after collecting each one, Sophie got angry and killed him too.
I think that’s the conformed story. I think in Luigikid gameplay he explains the story.

For anyone who don't know the plot basically thomas had a little sister sophie,then sophie died in a car accident or something....so one day thomas decided to play Mario lost levels Cause thats the game they played together,but sophie's spirit seemed pissed and takes over the game to remind him of her death
I don't think it was a car accident. If it was, then at the end of the game, they should have showed that the blood was on like a car. But the blood was off the cliff. Which means Sophie fell down a huge cliff and died. And we also saw some glitches at that cave part where the first glitch is 2 people's arms and it looks like they are holding on to each other, then the second glitch shows that they lost grip. So that means we have proof that Sophie died by falling down a huge cliff.
